CH012 : WHO WE ARE

After saving the people in India me and Nico barely talked, it was like he was avoiding us. now he was starting to act all dark and brooding which annoyed me.

Nico glanced over at Miles who was looking at him with a frown, Nico stared down at the dark portal that was now taking a glitching building with it.

he heard a whistle which echoed and it sent a chill down his spine, he knew he wasn't supposed to be here.

That's when I looked above us and saw some type of spider ship? I didn't know how to say it. it landed on the ground and I watched a bunch of spider people come out of it.

"Okay guys. secure the area clear all civilians..." I saw it was a spider-woman and my eyebrows furrowed.

Nico sighed and continued to stare at the dark portal slowly sinking more cities inside, "This is gonna get worse." he whispered to himself.

"Is everything going to be okay?" Pavitr asks, I looked down again. spot seemed very angry once before, I don't think everything's gonna be okay.

"[Name], let's go! we're about to head with them." Miles said and grabbed my hand, I took it and looked over my shoulder towards Nico who glared at us.

Probably still angry from earlier. I don't get it though, we just wanted to go on an adventure.

We both headed inside the portal and miles wrapped his hands around my waist while holding onto me tightly.

We landed inside some type of elevator, I looked over at Hobie who took his mask off. he winked over at me and I waved, Hobie was literally so awesome man.

Nico glanced over at Hobie and sent him a small wave, "You seem cool lil man." Hobie said and nudged Nico's shoulder and Nico smiled briefly before it quickly went away.

NUEVA YORK
EARTH - 928

I stared at the buildings outside of the elevator, a smile graced its way onto my lips as I looked at everything in amazement.

"Hey, over here." Gwen whispered to us and we turned around, the elevator doors opened and we made our way to the outside.

"Yo, this place is wild." Miles commented and I nodded in agreement, Nico was walking with his arms crossed while staring ahead.

No smile came from him or anything, he just looked drained. he wasn't supposed to be here, none of us was.

God there was so many spider people, "This is unbelievable." Miles says while looking around.

"This is the lobby." Gwen says, she's saying it like there's mor-...

Well, there is more. good grief there was so many of them, I keep forgetting we aren't the only ones.

I started glitching and fell next to miles who glitched as well, Nico glitched too and he kneeled to the ground.

"Uh-oh." I heard Hobie say and he looked concerned.

Spider-woman came over and handed us watches which we took, we immediately stopped glitching.

Nico looked down at the tip of his fingers and they started growing darker. his hands shook slightly and when he looked around everything around him look like it was going grey. he shut his eyes and opened them again, the colors changing back to normal.

We made our way inside the next room and we looked around once more, Nico stood next to Me and Miles looking around himself.

I looked up and saw a rather large guy in the distance, "Miguel o'hara. meet miles morales, [name] [last name], and Nico Kingston-minuguami." Gwen introduced us.

"Hey, nice to meet you!" I waved and Nico waved too, Miles doing the same.

"It's nice to meet you. these two doofuses here are my friends, my other friends miles speaks Spanish but apparently has an F in it and-" I was cut off by Miguel.

"I know who you all are. mhm, yep." He says as he stares down at us, seeming uninterested in what I had to say.

"We're really excited to get the ropes around here." I spoke again with a happy smile, Miguel then looked at me with his piercing gaze before throwing a trash can at me which I dodged.

"Hey!" Nico shouted with a glare while staring intensely at Miguel with an angry look.

Miles glared at him too, wondering why he threw- well tried to throw that at me.

"Miguel! it's not their fault." Gwen immediately comes to defense for us, I stared at him confused myself.

I saw the setting then change when Miguel stepped down, I slowly backed away.

"Okay so..all this happens when? because for all I know my mom is going to die." Nico says, Miguel turned to him.

"You guys aren't supposed to be here. that's why Gwen stopped you three." Miguel revealed, I turned to her.

"I...I thought you were trying to save us?" I mumbled sadly, "I was. I..I was doing both." Gwen stated.

"Now..Miles, [name], nico...because you three changed the story, Pavitr's dimension is unraveling." Miguel explained, I started breathing heavily while looking around at the scene.

Nico shook his head as he slowly backed away, "No, no..." he shook his head as he was now in denial.

'you three
took everything from me'.

Spot's voice started coming back to my mind and I kept shaking my head, I didn't get to see the rest of the future Spot showed us.

"When does it happen?" Miles asks and I wanted to know the same thing, this all started to become too much.

"In two days." Miguel answered as he looked off to the side, I turned to him quickly.

No, impossible.

Nico backed away and kept shaking his head, Gwen turned to him with furrowed eyebrows, wondering what he was doing.

Even if he did have that thing on his wrist he glitched once more and fell to the ground, "How is that possible? you have-" I was cut off.

"Leave me alone, please." Nico said as he felt tears fall from his eyes, turning away from me and miles.

I turned to Miguel, "send us home." I demanded and I felt miles wrap his hand around mines.

"I can't do that." Miguel says as he looks at me, I started pacing around while clutching my hair.

"Then what are we supposed to do? just let them die?" Miles chimes in while panicking himself a little.

I looked around at the spider people with a frown, "Come on..aren't you guys gonna back us up?" I asked.

They all just stared at us and stood there silently, some had frowns on their faces and some were blank.

I couldn't see cause of the masks really. but I just felt betrayal honestly...mostly from Gwen.

"Listen, kids—" before Peter could finish Nico raised his hand.

"Stop calling us that." The three of us said in sync.

We were fully capable of making our own decisions. who did these people think they were telling us were nothing but kids?

"You guys can't ask us not to save our parents." Nico spoke up, his voice now...deep?

"I'm not asking." Miguel says and something slides under us and I looked down, something covers over us like a orange forcefield.

I slammed my hands against it with a glare, "Let us out!" I shouted with and started to feel like raging.

"No! Stop it!" Gwen shouted at Miguel, I kept hitting the forcefield and now suddenly all I felt was fear.

"Aye, the palms." I turned around and looked at Hobie, Nico and Miles looked at each other and I looked at Nico's hands to briefly see a green spark.

I looked over at them, wondering what they were about to do.

"We said not to..."

"Call us that!"

The forcefield was now gone after miles and Nico used the sparks from their hands.

Hobie chuckled and nodded at this. thank god for Hobie, really has to be one of my favorite spider-man's.

Well...

All hell was about to break loose.
