A tornado watch has been issued for the area.

In the case of severe weather in Arkansas, chances were that Jessica Ward was creating the perfect conditions for catastrophe. She was an accident waiting to happen, a mess of a girl who grew up running barefoot through fields and chasing storm clouds with camera lenses angled at the sky. It was very possible to many people, that she had left her head up there in the clouds, because who had a death wish so baldly that they would chase twisters? And for many others, the only right answer was Tyler Owens.

If Jess was a tornado watch, then Tyler was a warning. He left causalities whenever he touched down, bad news with a charming smile and even worse ideas. Even as a kid, he was hell on wheels, always pushing the boundaries of what was considered "acceptable" behavior. He'd climb trees that were far too tall, steal bottles of whiskey from his mama's liquor cabinet, and sneak out past curfew for joyrides in his daddy's truck. Jess didn't hear the warning signs and maybe that's why she fell so hard.

It only takes a few strong winds for a twisters to change direction. The day her father died, Jess changed momentum. The same girl, known for raising hell from one corner of the state to the other, found herself trapped in a whirlwind of grief. The tornado that took her father left more than just physical wreckage; it stole Jess's life. While the rest of the world moved on, she remained stuck in time, haunted by the scar the storm left behind.

She didn't surprise anyone when she left everything behind to pursue her career, far from Arkansas' unpredictable skies and it's unpredictable boys.

However, when her mother passes away unexpectedly, her hometown calls her back sooner than anticipated. Left on her own and with her parents' financial burden, Jess doesn't see any other way out than to sell her childhood home. That is, until a certain green-eyed tornado wrangler blows back into town and offers her a chance to start over and rebuild, not just her family's legacy– but her own.
