023. Red Venom's Doomsday...
BROOKLYN, EARTH-4̡̱͔̔ͧ2̹͇̦̊͑ͨ̀͝.
━ chap 23. red venom's doomsday !
WARNING : long chapter, a lot of crying, childhood memory flashbacks, cliffhanger
Back in Earth 1610 Brooklyn's environment was eerier, and gloomy as it was pouring down rain from above, hitting the streets and buildings, to create an ever more mysterious atmosphere.
A portal was materialising opening on a roof in the city, and before it even had the chance to fully appear, the familiar talon that belonged to Miguel ripped straight through it.
He opened up the many circled poral forcefully with his powers, and strolled through it with an intimidating stance, broad shoulders moving as he walked. The red illuminating sign behind him, made his massive figure stand out more to anyone passing along the streets below.
Jess popped out of another portal beside him on her bike, coming to a slower stop next to him, and Ben also webbed out of one higher, to swing towards a building to perch on.
Miguel walked up towards the roofs ledge with Jess lingering behind him, and he leapt up onto it to glance over the nigh time city, in hopes to find the woman he was searching for.
The cold rain was hitting his suit, and figure which was making it somewhat drenched, but he didn't pay mind to that as he had other important things to worry about, and plants his feet more into the cement ledge.
His masked scarlet eyes fall upon his wrist, where the AI watch was, and hidden beneath it was a familiar red material, that he always kept on him in secret. Lifting up the watch in front of his gaze, he slowly swiped along the keypad bit of it, until a familiar face of his beloved showed up in a frozen hologram photo.
The picture inside was one of (Y/N) carrying Elvis in her arms, grinning brightly up at Miguel who stood beside her, and was making a grumpy face down at the cat as he had an arm wrapped around her waist.
In the frozen moment in time, it almost seemed like they were a... happy and married couple... though he knew better, Miguel knew that wasn't the case, at least not now, and probably won't ever be if he doesn't save her.
"Are you sure you wanna keep doing this?" A quiet female voice spoke up behind him, making Miguel turn his head slightly to see Jess pulling up on her bike, and gave him a sad knowing look, "You made the woman you want to marry flee home terrified of you, Miguel. Is this what you want, really?"
His eyebrows furrowed underneath his mask, as he bit down a little on his bottom lip to stop it from quivering, and then turned back around to face away from Jess, trying to process her sudden heavy words. He knew what he was going to do, well doing was wrong in so many ways, and he understood he hurt the one person whom he swore to never do... yet look what had happened.
The unconditionally love they held for each other, was going to be their demise. One will stand while the other will fall to take their last breath. It had always been that way, and there was no way around it now. That's if Miguel had anything to say about it.
"I don't know anymore..." Miguel's voice was hoarse, and low after a second, as his eyes stayed on the photo of them together, feeling them sting with emotion the more he looked at it, "All I know is that I'm doing this for (Y/N), and I'll save her..."
He switched off the hologram, placing his muscular arm back by his side, as a cold expression takes over his features now, determined to accomplish his only goal he ever had, "no matter the cost."
......
Red Venom's head bumped painfully into the door with a thump, and it made her bite back a sob of pain, as she cradled the sore spot. She scrambled back behind the side of the door, and took a few deep breaths to calm her pants down.
However, her eyes suddenly went wide in absolute horror, and felt sick to her stomach as she soon realised something, or rather who wasn't beside her leaning on the wall right now.
Frantically searching the rooftop as Red Venom stood up, her eyes darted around in search of her brother's familiar form, "Miles?" She called out, her voice trembling with a mixture of hope, and desperation. But her voice seemed to vanish into the ether, swallowed by the eerier silence that hung in the air.
As the moments ticked by and no response came, realisation began to dawn like the cold, heavy rain. That sinking feeling in her chest, became a weight that threatened to pull her down. She turned around in a slow circle, her heart pounding as her breaths grow shallow.
But there was no sign of Miles, her sweet younger brother who do anything for her without a second thought. No joyful grin, no friendly banter, no familiar presence that had always brought her comfort. The rooftop was empty, devoid of the brother she had longed to see. She was all alone, abandoned by the fate that was giving by the multi-verse.
And in that moment, the dam that had been holding back her emotions cracked. A sob escaped Red Venom's lips, raw and unfiltered. It was a sound born of heartache, after everything that's happened, and the cruel reality crashing down upon her. The grief of her circumstances, the loneliness that had plagued her throughout her life, all came rushing to the surface.
She stumbled back on herself, collapsing against the rooftop's edge as her back had hit it with a thump. Her sobs traveled through the desolate space, each cry a testament to the pain that she couldn't contain any longer.
Tears streamed down her face, mingling with the train pouring down from the darkened sky above her. The universe had played a cruel trick on her, taunting her with the possibility that they would both end up in the same earth, only to just tear it away.
As the rain continued to soak her and her sobs somewhat subsided into exhausted hiccups, Red Venom's masked gaze lifted up to the sky. The tears blurred her vision, but she stared unseeingly into the darkness. The city around her seemed to resonate with her pain, the buildings stretching upwards like a reflection of her own isolation.
With a shuddering breath mixed with a sob, she turned away from the rainy skies to face towards more buildings, and knew she needed to check if ner other family was at home, as she had an eerier feeling that this universe wasn't what it seemed.
Not bothering to wipe away her tears lingering on her skin, and felt more bubbling up in her eyes, Red Venom took a high leap into the air off the roof she was on, now beginning on a journey she was terrified for.
She landed against another roof with a commando roll, as she yells when she slipped a little because of the rain, and stumbled back up to run across the roof until she jumped off the ledge into the air once more.
Outstretching her arm out she aimed one of he webs towards a glass window, feeling the familiar tug forward and swinged in between the buildings of Brooklyn now. Her heart felt heavy as she swung, the momentum of her actions masking the weigh of her emotions resurfacing.
As the city lights painted streaks across the rainy night sky, Red Venom's thoughts were consumed by the recent events that just happened, which included Miguel that man she once loved more then anything. The words they had exchanged echoed in her mind like a haunting refrain, and the pain of where it ended them up gnawed at her insides.
With every swing in between the two builings beside her figure in the air, she forced herself to focus on the mechanics of her movements, the rush of the wind against her wet cheeks, and the uneven pattern of he breath.
But the facade of strength was once again slipping from her, as the voices of past words start to echo in her ears, and a lone tear trickled down her cheek, carried away by the breeze. Red Venom didn't want to break down again, didn't want to show vulnerability in the open air, but she couldn't help it, couldn't stop herself from doing so.
"You're a mistake! If you hadn't been born, hadn't been experimented on, and bitten, your uncle Peter Parker would've lived! Your real parents would still be alive!"
His hurtful words echoed in her mind, each one piercing deeper than the rest. The ache in her chest was no longer just from the physical exertion, it was the emotional weight that threated to drown her. Her grip on her webs tightened, her movements becoming erratic as she struggled to regain control.
"And none of this would've happened!"
Trying to block out his haunting voice that Red Venom knew was speaking the truth, she swung herself down onto a long ledge, and began to run fast across it, hearing more voices in the back of her mind now.
"Red, the hardest thing about this job is you can't always save everybody."
Her breath hitched in a painful way when she saw visions of her biologic parents, followed by Uncle Aaron's face smiling at her, and then ones of what Spot would do to her family. A harsh cry escaped her lips before she could stop it, and pressed a gloved hand against her mouth, as if that could contain the anguish threatening to burst forth once more.
Continuing on rushing across the slippery ledge that kept her steady for now, Red Venom's chest heaved as she removed the hand covering her mouth, the sounds of the city fading into the background as her sobs grow more pronounced, along with the voices.
The pain from the arguments, the weight of responsibility, and the fear of losing the people she loved all converged into a perfect storm of despair. She felt small against the vastness of the city, lost in her own sea of emotions.
"I'll make you pay for everything
that you took away from me."
And with a strangled sob tearing free from her throat, Red Venom leapt off of the ledge she was on. Her grip on the metal loosened, and she swung into the open air, her tears merging with the rush of wind. The buildings blurred around her, the once-familiar terrain now a chaotic blur as she surrendered to her emotions.
Mid-swing she curled in on herself, wrapping her arms around her body as if trying to shield herself from the pain. Aiming two more webs at a bridge's beams, she pulled herself over it, and began to run upside down underneath it, tears falling freely down her skin. Her spider powers, which had once felt like a gift, now seemed insignificant in the face of her emotional turmoil.
"You have a choice between saving one person and saving an entire world."
Red Venom's senses spiked up in a sharp way down her spine again, causing a whimper of pain to leave her lips as she glanced back to see an incoming train. She shot a web that was glitching a little bit upwards, and tried to pull herself up onto the track to hopefully out run it.
"I can do both! Spider-man always-"
"Not always, Red. You can't save everybody.."
Just before the train could run into her across the tracks, her figure dived off head first into the air again as one of her hands was gripping onto her suit, where her heart would be. Tears mixing with the rain dripping down on her cheeks, she used her other hand to swing herself as more whimpering sobs escaped her, not knowing how to deal with everything right now.
"You're my daughter, (Y/N). Blood related or not, I was the one who raised you, not that Perra who claims to be your mother."
"Bad things are gonna happen-"
"I-I didn't know how to tell you.."
Red Venom pushed and pulled herself along through some more tracks underneath, she was webbing both sides and swung her figure through the air, trying her hardest to stop herself from passing out in exhaustion.
"You aren't supposed to exist! You don't belong here, you never did."
"I'm so sorry you had to deal with my bullshit, mi amor. You won't have to anymore though, I promise."
A scream mixed with a loud cry left her lips when Red Venom's web pulled her through a glass window, and she slammed straight through it, making her wince in pain. Her figure flew in the air to descend towards the ground, eyes fluttering closed slowly, feeling like she was about to give up getting drowned within all the emotions she was experiencing.
"I wouldn't let that happen, (N/N).
I've got us, promise."
"Keep going, (Y/N). You're the
best of all of us."
A sudden overwhelming sense of determination entered her heart hearing those encouraging words, as her eyes fly opened fast and flipped her body around, bending her legs up to her chest, and her arms outstretched behind her.
Red Venom wasn't about to just give up like that, it was too ease to go out like this, and she still had a purpose in life. To save her family, and make sure they got their happy ending, if she herself didn't get one in return. And so, as her masked eyes narrowed down on a familiar apartment that belonged to her, she directed her body towards that with a new sense of hope.
The pain was still there lingering inside of her heart as she knew it wouldn't go away anytime soon, but so was a glimmer of hope - to fix all the mistakes she made, and prevent from making anymore.
Swinging herself toward the familiar ledge of her apartment, where a lot of memories began to flash in her mind about her happier times with Miguel in the exact spot, and chose to ignore them for the sake of her sanity.
Heavy exhausted breathes escaped her parted lips, as Red Venom cradled one of her injured shoulders, that was somewhat showing skin from how her suit was torn apart, all thanks to Miguel and the recent events.
"I made it.." She breathes out in a laboured whisper, crouching down into to peek through the window of 'her' apartment, as her free hand pressed against the shut window, "Now I just gotta check if Elvis is here, and go find Miles-"
She was cut off when she began to glitch badly suddenly, which was tens times worse then normal, and she grunts distorted once it stopped, as she had fallen back against the railing. Pants of pain leave her lips, as her masked eyes finally catch onto what was in her aparment, that made her gasp in a strangled way.
What once held all her precious memories, photos, belongings and her beloved cat Elvis, was all replaced with nothing but emptiness of what it once was, leaving a dark and gloomy apartment that she once could call home.
The realisation hit Red Venom like a punch to the gut - she was in a universe that wasn't her own, and she was utterly alone. Now she understood why she felt off from the start since arriving here, and began to piece the puzzle together, she realises she was dumped here instead of with Miles back in his earth.
Oh, no...
.....
Back in earth-1610 inside of (Y/N)'s room hanging off the ceiling was Gwen, and Miles, who were both back at the Morales household in hopes the older girl would appear back, praying she would soon.
They both got their answer suddenly when their Spider senses got off in a sharp way, that had the duo's heads perking up, and eyes going wide in horror. Miles snaps his head to Gwen with a teary gaze, his worries laying with his older sister even more now, as Gwen met his stare with a look of realisation.
She's in the wrong universe.
.....
"The experiments and spider that gave you your power wasn't from your dimension! It didn't came from any!"
Flashbacks of when (Y/N) was in the science lab appeared in her blurred vision, as she saw herself crying for help when the needles were injected into her tied up body on a lab table, and watched as herself thrashed around feeling the liquid enter her veins.
Another flashback popped up which was a distorted figure of a familiar male scientist, that held up a glitching spider inside a glass case, and had a sickening smile across his lips when he got closer to someone inside a massive plastic cage.
"Though, I didn't know which one it came from. And then there was you."
Red Venom's breathes came out quicker, her chest tightening as the weight of her circumstances pressed down on her. She leaned against the fire escape ledge of her so called apartment now empty, her fingers gripping the cold metal as if it were her lifeline.
Thoughts going faster then she could handle, a profound loneliness mixed with anxiety settled over her like a suffocating shroud. Red Venom wasn't supposed to be here, because her brother Miles was, and somehow she was the one who got sent here instead, to an unknown earth by the machine.
I'm not supposed to be here...
She closed her eyes for a moment, willing herself to hold back the tears wanting to spill again as all she's ever done recently is cry. Red Venom had faced challenges before, had been through battles that tested her strength, but this was different.
This was an emotional tempest that she hadn't anticipated. The ache of missing her loved ones, the constant pain of her slowly dying, combined with the stark realisation of her solitude in this foreign universe, was almost too much to bear.
"Don't panic, don't panic, don't cry-" She was muttering to herself over and over again, as she gripped the ledge behind her tighter. Releasing a shuddering breath to calm herself, she opened her masked eyes up and went to walk up to the wall beside the window, going to crawl up it.
Placing her shaking hands up against the brick wall, she inhaled deeply and then exhaled after a second, trying to steady herself before she made a move. Nodding determined to her shadow, she began to quickly crawl upwards along the wall away from the apartment, and backflipped up onto the roof.
Once she landed on the cement with a graceful pose, and a muffled thump, her attention was straight away taking by the environment of this new earth. The buildings stretched towards the sky, casting long shadows across the unfamiliar streets. Many lit up logos were placed on top of those buildings all around, followed by a lot of untamed fires and sirens wailing in the distance.
"There's no Spider-ling here..." She mumbled to herself with a sick feeling realisation, as she continued to gaze at the broken city that looked so similar to her Brooklyn, yet also different to so many ways.
Red Venom knew she wouldn't find herself in this universe whatsoever, as she remembered all the things everyone told her about who she was. Though she still needed to know if this universe version of the Morales family was alright, and safe.
With that thought being the main propriety right now for the Spider-ling, she went to jump back onto the roofs ledge again and wanted to swing towards the building holding her family.
However before she could even make another move, something had quickly hit the back of her head, causing her body to fall backwards onto the roof, and the last thing Red Venom saw was a purple dressed figure staring down at her intently before her vision went black.
.....
Back in home earth where it was currently safe, Gwen was still inside of (Y/N)'s room listening to her parents talk, as Miles had already shone his face to them, and was now getting ready to find his sister again, leaving Gwen all by herself.
She quietly fell off the ceiling to land onto the floor on her tippy-toes, and glanced around the older girls room, seeing many photos of their trio together along the walls, which brought a smile to her lips. Gwen peeked out of the door opened a little bit, and began to listen to what the adults were saying.
"I just don't wanna lose her, you know?" Jeff was talking to his wife in the middle of their apartment, as he pinches the bridge of his nose for a second, and sighs sadly to himself, "(Y/N)'s the best thing that's ever happened to us, but sometimes I feel like its my fault for shutting her out, and not realising how much she needs us."
Rio placed her hands on her husbands shoulders, and squeezed them gently while giving him a soft, knowing look, "I know what you mean amor, I feel like that as well." She admitted quietly, and slides her hands down into his tightly, gazing into Jeff's glossy eyes, "We have to let (Y/N) come to us on her own time, pushing her wont help anything. You're a great dad, both our kids know that."
"This-this is hard." He mumbles tiredly while rubbing his fingers underneath his eyes, that pushed up his sunglasses over them, and glanced to a photo on the wall of a younger (Y/N) smiling with him, "I don't want to push her because I know how bad her childhood was, it just feels like I hardly know my little girl anymore."
"She's growing up Jeff, and there's not much we can do about that." Rio answered her husband through a bittersweet expression, and looked down feeling a familiar fluffy tail brush up against her legs, "Still (Y/N) knows we're always going to be here for her, nothing will changed that."
Jeff sighs guilty once more loudly to himself, as ever since their big fight at the party he hadn't stop thinking about a way to make it up to his daughter. It was eating him alive when it couldn't do so, and the closet thing he had to (Y/N) right now was Elvis, who was being held by Rio in her arms tightly.
"It's not your fault." The familiar voice of Gwen was heard behind them, as she pulled open the bedroom door she was hiding in, and walked out with one of (Y/N)'s jumpers around her, "It's mine."
"Oh, come on." Jeff shared a wide eyed look with Rio beside him, before he turned back to Gwen with a scolding expression over his face, "What the heck are you doing here?"
"Oh, uh, her window was open," She pointed her thumb behind her into (Y/N)'s once room, and slowly trailed out into the living room casually, "and I came in. Because that's normal to do."
The Morales parents turned their bodies to where she walked to, as Jeff pointed one of his fingers down towards the floor, and demanded loudly, "I want to talk to your parents."
"Right. My, uh-" Gwen began to stutter for an answer to his question, while she nervously fiddled with the material of (Y/N)'s jumper providing her warmth, "my dad's kind of hard to get on the horn."
"Oh, really?" Jeff snapped in a judgemental way, as his sun-glassed eyes scan the younger girl up and down, while placing his hands on his hips, "What does he do? Deal drugs?"
She looked to the side for a few seconds, before tilting her head over her shoulder to glance at Jeff, and replied in a smaller voice, "He's a cop."
".... Statement withdrawn." He clicked his tongue as he had know idea that was true, and shrugged his broad shoulders to pull out his phone, "Yep, well, I'm gonna call the station."
Gwen crossed her arms over her chest, and hid half of her face in (Y/N)'s jumper while she slowly walked in the direction of the front door, "I don't think he's there or anywhere around here."
"Well, that's her jacket, Emo." Jeff fired back in a protective tone over his daughter, and narrowed his eyes on Gwen suspiciously, "Where's my daughter?"
"I don't know."
Her quite answer caused Jeff to stammer in complete surprise, all while Rio entered protective mother bear mode now, "You don't know?!" She exclaimed incredulously, as she took a few steps forward, "What do you mean you don't now?"
"Yeah, um, I'll leave-"
"Where do you think you're going, young lady?" Rio questioned with raised eyebrows at Gwen walking away, and placed her free hand on her hip sternly, while Jeff came to stand behind her.
"I'm going to find her." Gwen's voice turned into a more serious one now, as her back was faced them so they couldn't see her face, "I don't know where, exactly. But I know where to start. One thing I learned from (Y/N),"
She turned her head a little bit to the side, tone holding a lot admiration for the said girl, "Anything is possible, even if all hope seems lost." She fully turned back to the parents, a gentle look in her blue gaze, "(Y/N) loves you more than you could ever imagine. You guys are all she ever talks and thinks about... I've seen and heard it."
Rios face softened hearing Gwen's confession about her daughter, and sighs gently to herself as she placed down Elvis meowing in her arms, "If you do find (Y/N)...tell her we love her, so much."
Gwen's lips lifted up into a knowing smile, now filled with even more determination to find everyone's favourite girl, and bring her back to them all, "You got it."
.....
Slowly fluttering open her eyelids from the rough hit to her head, Red Venom groggily saw the red tint of the room she was currently in, and groans softly to blink herself wide awake now.
Her double vision gaze landed on a figure at a table in the room, not seeing who it was just yet as her eyesight was blurry. She winced a little realising she was tied up against a punching bag, and panicked a little when her mask wasn't covering her face anymore, leaving her identity exposed.
(Y/N) tried to tug on the chains wrapped around her arms, and waist but was too weak currently to do so, which made her head fall back against the punching bag.
Her senses were on high alert as the figure moved in the room, and her eyes go wide in shock, feeling like she just got kicked in the gut when she finally saw who it was, "Uncle Aaron?" She babbles out in disbelief, before a painful glitch occurred to her body, making her grunt distorted.
A stingy sensation builds up in her eyes at the overwhelming pain she was feeling again, and couldn't believe this universe still had an Aaron. It brought her relief, but also sadness at the same time. A chain clicking sound was hear through her ears, and this made (Y/N) glance a little upwards to see the punching bag getting pulled towards the ceiling.
"Wait, wait, wait-" She began to rant rapidly as her suited feet just barely touched the floor now, and shot her head up to stare at Aaron with big eyes, "Listen to me, I'm a Morales too, but I'm not from here! I'm not supposed to be here!"
Uncle Aaron normally would of stopped to listen to every word that was coming out of her mouth, but this universes one just placed his hands in his jackets pockets, and strolled right past her to the table behind her distressed self.
(Y/N) was breathing heavily on the verge of a panic attack, as her figure was spinning around on the punching bag, and watched confused when Aaron played some music suddenly, "Look, you don't even have to trust me, but hear me out! Please-"
The volume on the music increases when Aaron pushed the controls up more, which made her groaned annoyed knowing this wasn't going to go anywhere, and secretly began to rub her fingertips on the metal around her, trying to create her red venom sparks.
"I just want to go home, even if I don't really have one..." Her last words were mumbled to herself sadly, before speaking louder over the music to Aaron, who had his back turned away from her, "I had an Uncle Aaron too, he was a bad guy called the Prowler. He... he was the best, and he always made me feel like I belonged somewhere,"
A bittersweet smile crosses her bruised lips as memories of them together flashed in her mind, and sniffled quietly to herself, "He did a lot of bad things, but me and my brother knew he wanted to be good." As she spoke that information, she suddenly felt another set of eyes watching her from the shadows, causing her to gulp with unease, "I know you don't want to be the Prowler."
Before (Y/N) could even process what was happening, something was around Aaron's fist as he brought it back, and punched forcefully into the back of the bag she was attached to. A small yelp of fear escaped her at this, and was stopped by Aaron's hand on the bag from swinging around.
"I'm not." Aaron spoke lowly after a minuet of them staring at each other, which made her face break into a utterly confused one, and didn't say anything as he span her around to face the front again.
The hairs at the back of her neck stand up feeling that familiar stare from in the shadows back on her again, as she looked up into the darkness to spot a figure perched on the ceiling beams watching her.
A male's voice was broadcasting something over the channel news that was playing, and she wanted to listen to see what was happening outside, but (Y/N)'s nervous gaze stayed on the figure hoping down from the beams.
The figure came out of the shadows slowly, as the mask around their face began to have a pink ish glow. They were wearing a purple coat that had material reaching up around their neck, a belt to hold their cargo pants up, a backpack of sorts behind them, and some sort of gloves that reached up to near their middle arm.
Aaron chucked something at the figure stalking closer to (Y/N) in the middle of the room, as they caught it easily with one hand, and clipped the clawed gauntlet onto the opposite hand, as it began to whirrer with a purple colour.
The figured just stopped in front of her as their masked gaze stared at her wounded, and exhausted self, "You say you're a Morales, is your dad still alive?" The voice sounded like a male, as it came out distorted through the mask.
"Y-yeah he is.." She quivered out in a small voice, hating how scared she was right now under the masked figures gaze, though there something awfully familiar about them that had her stomach twisting, "Who are you?"
His head tilted to the side for a second with a low humming noise, until the symbol on his mask faded away, along with his mask opening up to reveal who was behind it from the start.
(Y/N) felt her stomach drop drastically as the air was knocked out of her lungs, and her eyes widen seeing none other then Miles, her little brother staring back at her coldly, something she never expected to ever witness on him.
"I'm Miles Morales." He introduced like she didn't even know him, his accent begin thicker then usual as he now had braids in his hair, nothing like her Miles back home, "But you... you can call me that Prowler."
A fearful expression takes over her features now hearing this, pupils slowly getting smaller and smaller as her hair grow another stripe of scarlet in it, that Miles Prowler noticed, "If I don't get back home, our dad is going to die." She whispered in a small voice, and swallowed harshly to add on even quieter, "And most likely me as well.."
"Your dad." He corrected in his low voice, chin tilting up a little bit to motion to her in a way, as his intimidating stance didn't falter for a second, even when her fangs somewhat appeared when she lifted her lips up.
Her face scrunched up in pain when another sharp sensation ran up her spin, causing her eyes to close shut for a second, and exhaled shakily, "Please, Miles.." She pleaded through a choked noise, glancing up at this new version of her brother through her messy locks, "You have to let me go."
Miles' brown eyes glanced all over her face slowly before he took a few more steps to her, and went to twirl a strand of her scarlet hair around his finger casually, "Now why would I do that?"
All the once hope she had of finding a way back home to her family was completely gone, and faded away into nothing as soon as those dark words left his mouth. Miles eyes stared threateningly into (Y/N)'s terrified ones, both knowing there was no way out of this without a fight.
I'm sorry everyone... looks like I'm not getting out of this alive because there's no way I'm fighting my own variant brother.
.....
I never found the right band to join.
So I started my own.
In another universe far away from where Red Venom currently was being held captured by her own variant brother, Gwen stood on top of a roof with many other Spider-lings gathered to help save (Y/N), as a opened portal was in front of them all.
Miles was standing next to Gwen also sharing a confident look with her, both knowing they would stop at nothing till (Y/N) was back and safe. He also knew the others felt that way as well, when he glanced back over the group all standing behind them.
Pav with no mask, Peter with Mayday wearing apart of Red Venom's suit on her wrist, Hobie sharing a knowing look with Miles, Margo standing beside Hobie also, along with Ham, Peny and Spider-noir. They all automatically agreed to help hearing about the current situation (Y/N) was stuck in, when Gwen came to pick them up.
With a few old friends.
One by one they began to swing into the open portal towards wherever it leaded to, leaving Gwen and Miles the only ones still standing on the roof. They turned to each other with strong nods, smiling briefly before the duo placed their masks on, and leaped into the portal.
This elite team was going to save (Y/N),
for real this time.
