ii. attempted flirting
"Since it is your birthday and since you failed to tell us-" Klaus started as he stood across from Mia.
It had been an hour since she brought them to her floor. They had come to room arrangements after thirty minutes of arguing.
Elijah would take Mia's room for the first night, then Kol, then Rebekah and then Klaus. In the meantime, or at least until they got another bed, one would always be sleeping on the couch due to none of them wanting to share a bed with each other.
"I don't need anything, Nik," Mia told him as she leaned into Kol's side.
"Yes, you do," Rebekah told her.
"What could I possibly need?" She asked as Kol kissed along her shoulder, not caring that his siblings were in the room.
"A cake first of all," Klaus told her.
"I don't like cake."
They all stared at her for a moment before she giggled, "Kidding."
Kol grinned against her skin. His breath tickled.
"What are you doing, Kol?" She asked quietly, glancing back at the boy.
"Giving you 23 kisses," He answered before going back to his work of kissing along her shoulder and neck.
"I think you might have lost count cause you've been doing that for the last ten minutes."
He smirked, "I'll start over."
She chuckled softly, glancing at the clock before standing up, "Actually, I gotta go."
They all stood up, "What? No, you're staying," Rebekah told her as she grabbed the human and pulled her into her arms.
Mia blushed from the touch, "I- I got training. Natasha will kill me if I don't g-go," She stuttered. Out of all of them, Rebekah was the one who made her mind go to mush from a simple touch.
"She's right," The redhead spoke as she walked through the elevator, smirking slightly at the sight of her sister looking so flustered.
"Can't she train later?" The hybrid asked, not wanting to be away from Mia again.
"Nope," Natasha told him before taking her sister out of Rebekah's hold.
Mia chuckled at her reaction but followed after her sister, "We'll be on floor 87 if you need me."
— — —
The Mikaelsons lasted ten minutes before they began wandering around the tower in search of their soulmate.
She had told them she would be on floor 87 but they hadn't realized how large floor 87 truly was.
"You four looking for Mia?" A voice asked from behind them.
They turned, eyes meeting Tony Stark and Steve Rogers who had been watching them in amusement on the security cameras for the last five minutes before the Rogers man had taken pity on them.
"We were going to help you five minutes ago but it was too entertaining," The Stark added with a small smile as he and Steve walked toward the vampires.
"We got a little lost," Rebekah told them.
Steve nodded understandingly, "It's hard not to. I still get lost sometimes."
Tony glanced at his comrade before looking back at the Mikaelsons, "I think we need to have a talk before we take you to the kid."
"Don't scare them too much, Tones," Steve told him before walking off, sending a smile towards the vampires before leaving.
— — —
Mia flipped Bucky's body over her shoulder before tackling Steve.
The former groaned as he landed harshly against the matted floor while Mia and Steve continued to spar. "You had to throw me so hard?"
"You," She paused as she landed a punch against Steve's side, "Probably deserved it."
Steve grinned as he dodged the punch before hitting his leg against her side, "He did."
Mia chuckled as she knocked out his legs from underneath him, "Stay down," She warned him as she held him down.
Steve glanced through the mirror and noticed the Mikaelsons had finally joined them. He grinned slightly, ready for some teasing.
"So, are you liking your soulmates? You don't want to come back to Buck and I?"
Mia rolled her eyes as she stood up before grabbing a knife, "I was never with Buck and you, Stevie."
She told him as she lunged towards him. He dodged, grabbing her arm and sent her flying to the ground.
Mia got up quickly, grinning as she did so.
"They treating you good, doll? We don't need to beat them up?" He asked as she knocked him down, holding his head between her thighs. He choked after a few seconds before patting her thigh.
"I don't think you could even if you tried," She told him before helping Bucky up who was still laying dramatically on the floor.
Bucky groaned playfully, "I'm dying."
"Shut up," Mia told him before pulling his body off the ground easily.
Steve glanced through the mirror once more. He watched the Mikaelsons stare at Mia like lovesick puppies.
"Knife training or cardio?" He asked as he walked back over to her.
Mia, who already held a knife, answered, "Knife. I hate cardio."
The brunette super soldier grinned, "Besides, Steve, I'm sure she gets enough with four vampire soulmates."
Mia rolled her eyes before chucking the knife at Bucky who sadly caught the knife before it could stab him.
"Too slow, Mia."
She rolled her eyes once more. "You're so annoying."
"Stop bickering you two," Steve scolded them before handing Mia a set of throwing knives. "Hit the target."
"Such a mom," She said, rolling her eyes, "Is the target Bucky or...?"
"The target on the wall, Mia. Not Bucky."
She gave him a toothy grin, "Just checking."
She continued staring at Steve as she threw all six knives, each hitting the centre of the target. "There. Am I done now?"
"Nope," Steve told her, causing her to groan, "Why?"
"You have company," He told her before dragging Bucky out of the room by his ear. He sent a suggestive smile to the Mikaelsons as he walked past them, "She's all yours."
They blushed slightly before walking in. Their eyes trailed over Mia's body. She was only wearing a sports bra and a pair of loose shorts.
She looked stunning.
She looked stunning in anything she wore actually.
She turned around, wiping her forehead with a cloth when she heard the door open once more. "You found me," She spoke with a small smile. "It only took you two hours."
"We had to make a pitstop," Elijah told her, his eyes trailing down her body.
Mia smirked, noticing his stare, "Eyes are up here, Mikaelson."
Kol stared at her for a moment before asking, "Can you teach me that thigh thing now?"
She grinned as she nodded, "Of course."
— — —
Kol's body slammed against the floor for the twentieth time that day.
The Original grinned at his siblings as his head was held tightly in between the woman's thighs.
They rolled their eyes at him.
Mia went to let go only for him to tell her not to, "Not yet. Let them get a little more jealous," He told her as he snuggled closer to her thigh.
She sighed but didn't let go.
Klaus breathed out before grabbing one of the man knives that were lying on the table before chucking it at his brother. The knife lodged itself in Kol's thigh but he didn't even flinch.
Mia's eyes widened, "Nik! No stabbing people."
"He deserved it!"
Kol glanced up at her with a cheeky smile as he held her thighs close to him, "You look so pretty."
Mia blushed slightly before letting him go and standing up. She went to leave the room only for Elijah to speed in front of her. "Leaving so soon? We just got here, Elskan."
"Let me leave," She told him as she tried to pass him only for him to hold her shoulders, "Not so fast. Take me down and you can leave."
"What?"
"Yeah, what?" Rebekah asked, glancing at the pair, unsure of her brother's motives.
"Mia worried us all, I need to be sure she can take care of herself. Take me down and you may leave."
Mia sighed, "Can't we do this later? I'm tired."
"No. We're doing this right now," Klaus spoke up, agreeing with his older brother.
"I took Kol down, isn't that enough?"
"Kol was distracted," Rebekah told her, understanding what Elijah was doing now.
"By what?"
"Oh, just your exquisite beauty and magnificent thighs," The younger Original told her with a smirk on his face.
They were ganging up on her, she realized. Assholes.
"You know I could just have Friday fill the room up with vervain and peacefully walk out while you all suffer to breath."
Elijah grinned, "You wouldn't do that, my love. Now come on, try to get past me. Feel free to use any of your little weapons."
The Avenger sighed, "Just you?"
He nodded, "Just me."
"And I can use anything?" She asked, glancing over at Steve's shield that lay across the room along with some of Tony's blasters.
"If you can reach them before I get to you, yes."
"And if I lose?"
He stayed silent but the smirk never left his lips. It was suggestive, not that his siblings noticed.
Mia breathed out, thinking of whether or not she should even try to win. She wouldn't mind his little punishment if she did lose.
"And if I win?"
"You get to do whatever you want," He answered.
Mia smiled slightly as ideas filled her head, "Okay."
— — —
Mia breathed heavily as she leaned against the elevator wall, the coolness of the metal calming down her racing heart.
Kol grinned as he looked down at her, "Gotta say that was impressive, darling. I knew you were good, I didn't know you could take down an Original though."
"It's all in the skill," She muttered, her eyes closed as she debated on whether or not she could sleep while standing, "Lijah was going easy on me too."
The brown haired boy smiled, "I'm still proud. What are you going to do with your freedom?"
Mia opened her green eyes as she stared into his brown ones, "What do you want me to do?"
He blushed slightly. He knew what he wanted but he didn't want to scare her. "I- Whatever you want, I guess."
She grinned before pressing the button which stopped the elevator's movement, "Whatever I want?"
He nodded slowly, swallowing as he stared down at her.
"I thought you were a flirt, Kol. Come on, hit me with your best line."
Kol moved closer to her, placing his hand on the wall beside her head, "Well- I uh I would usually start like this."
"Then what?"
"I um- You, uh, you must be the reason for global warming because you're hot," He spoke up, his voice shaking slightly from the close proximity.
"Actually it's primarily because of too much carbon dioxide in the atmosphere," She answered with a small smirk as she glanced down at his lips. "Has that line ever even worked, Kol?"
"It has. You're just a little harder to crack."
"And why is that?"
He shook his head, smiling down at her, "Why, don't you show me one of yours, oh great master of flirting."
She grinned as she moved out of his hold, "Alright, my friend over there thinks you're cute," She told him, pointing over in the opposite direction before running over, and waving at him.
He chuckled as he watched her, "That was so stupid, darling."
"Made you blush though, didn't I?"
Kol nodded with a smile as he moved back over to her. "I think you're cute too, Mia."
"You never answered my question."
"What question?"
"Why do you have trouble flirting with me?"
"Because I love you."
Her eyes widened as she stared up into his eyes, "Really?"
Kol glanced down at her lips, watching as she bit her lower lip.
He held in a groan from the sight as he brought up his thumb and pulled her lip away from her teeth, "If you keep doing that, I won't be able to stop myself."
She breathed out, her heart beating out of her chest as his fingers trailed along her jaw as if he were tracing a picture, "You really love me?"
"I do, Mia. I've loved you ever since I met you," He confessed, tearing his eyes away from her lips to stare into her beautiful green eyes.
"I love you too," She told him quietly.
It was such an odd feeling. Every time she said those four words, it felt foreign. Even saying it to Natasha it felt odd on her tongue.
She had been forced to never even think them for so long and yet now, here she was, telling a man she loved him. Telling multiple people even.
He grinned at her words. He hadn't been loved in what felt like centuries and hearing those words, from her especially, made him feel like he was on top of the world.
Mia glanced down at his lips once more before moving up on her toes to capture them in hers. "I love you so much, Kol Mikaelson."
He couldn't hold back his smile as he kissed her deeply, holding her tightly against his chest as he pressed her against the wall.
"I love you more, Mia Rutherford."
