" Toast, I can make toast " Jenna said as Anya walked into the kitchen.

" It's all about the coffee aunt Jenna " Elena said as she poured a mug of coffee, handing it to Anya before making herself one.

" Is there coffee? " Jeremy asked as he walked into the kitchen.

" Your first day and I'm totally unprepared " Jenna said as she rushed towards her bad and as Jeremy grabbed the mug of coffee out of Anya's hands, causing the girl to give him an annoyed look.

" Lunch money? " Jenna said as she held out money to the siblings.

" I'm okay " Elena said, while Jeremy and Anya grabbed the money out of her hands.

" Anything else? A number two pencil " Jenna continued.

" Don't you have a big presentation today? " Anya said.

" I'm meeting with my thesis advisor at.......now " Jenna said as she looked at her watch.

" Go, we'll be fine " Anya reassured Jenna, who nodded before leaving the house.

" You okay? " Elena asked Jeremy as she turned to him.

" No, that's over " Elena said as she leaned on a locker as she noticed her sister sneaking up behind Bonnie with a finger to her lips in a shushing motion.

Elena looked around and saw Donovan staring at her, she she awkwardly waved at him as Bonnie noticed this.

" Anya.....Elena, oh my god.........how are you? Oh It's so good to see you " Caroline Forbes said as she ran towards them and hugged Elena quickly before giving Anya a long hug before turning to Bonnie " How are they? Are they good ".

" Caroline, I'm right here and we're fine.....thank you " Elena smiled sheepishly.

" Yes.......much better " Anya smiled reassuringly.

" Ohh, you poor thing " Caroline said as she pulled Anya into another hug.

" Okay " Elena smiled sheepishly as Caroline strutted away " No comment, I'm not gonna say anything " Elena said, when Caroline was out of ear shot as they began to walk.

Suddenly Bonnie stopped them as they passed the office.

" Wait hold up.....who's this? " Bonnie said as she stopped walking causing the twins to stop and look as well and saw the back of a man.

" All I see is back " Anya laughed.

" It's a hot back " Elena commented making Bonnie and Anya laugh lightly.

" I'm sensing Seattle......and he plays the guitar " Bonnie said.

" You're really gonna run this psychic thing into the ground, Huh " Elena said as Anya looked at them confused.

" Jeremy, good batch man " a boy yelled for across the hall.

" I'll be right back " Elena said as she stormed over to the boy's bathroom, where Jeremy had just entered and Anya quickly followed.

Elena stormed into the boys bathroom and over to Jeremy with Anya behind her.

" Whoa, next one down, chick " a boy said as he quickly zipped up his pants.

" Don't be such a prude max, we all know it's small anyway " Anya snapped at the boy, who glared at her before leaving embarrassed as Elena grabbed Jeremy's face and inspected him.

" Great...it's the first day of school and you're stoned " Elena scoffed.

" No, I'm not " Jeremy snapped.

" Where is it? Is it on you? " Elena said as she began to search the boy.

" Stop, chill yourself alright " Jeremy said as he takes Elena's hands off of him.

" Chill myself? What is that.......stoner talk " Elena scoffed before searching him again " Ohh, you are soo cool ".

" Stop....I don't have anything, are you crazy? " Jeremy exclaimed.

" You haven't seen crazy Jeremy—" Elena snapped.

" Alright enough, Elena go take a breather before class " Anya said breaking up the fight, Elena huffed in aggravation before storming out.

" Look Jer........I know she's being harsh but go easy on her, she's just worried......so am I......just make sure you get the closure you need and that you take care of yourself " Anya said before kissing her brothers cheek and walking out of the men's room.

Anya gasped as she bumped into someone and looked in a pair of forest green eyes in awe.

" Uh....pardon me......umm.......is this the men's room " the man asked.

" Yes...I was just....umm, I was just-uhh " Anaya stammered nervously, she then swallowed before saying " It's a long story " Anaya smiled sheepishly.

He smiled and Anya then tried to walk and so did he, she tries again and so did he, he then smiled and moved to the side and gestured for her to walk.

" Thank you " Anya smiled before walking away.

Mr. Tanner started to the class before Anya began to zone out what he was saying, Anaya looked to her side and saw the man with forest green eyes, she had bumped into looking at her, she smiled sheepishly and looked down with a blush covering her cheeks.

Anaya looked at the message with a giddy smile, a certain green eyed vampire smiled as he noticed this.

Anya sat in the cemetery drawing in her stretch book, when suddenly a black raven sat on one of the tomb stones cawing. 

" Okay....hi, bird " Anya said awkwardly as mist started to flood the cemetery " That's not creepy at all " Anya muttered sarcastically.

Anya began to draw again but stopped, when she noticed the thick white fog around her, Anya stood up and walked over to the crow and shooed it away

" That's what I thought? " Anya muttered before turning around and gasped, when she saw the crow cawing at her, Anaya quickly grabbed her bag and began to walk out of the cemetery, as she was a little too creeped out, she looked behind her and saw a man there and she then began to run down a steep help and she tripped before quickly getting up and gasped as she saw the man she bumped into outside the men's bathrooms standing there.

" You okay? " he asked.

" Were you following me? " Anya asked.

" No, I uh, I just uh saw you fall " the man stuttered.

" Uh-huh, and you just happen to be hanging out in a cemetery " Anya questioned.

" I'm visiting, I have, uh, family here " he replied.

" Oh......oh my god, that was so tactless of me.......I'm so sorry......it's the fog, it's making me foggy and then back there, there was this bird and it was all very Hitchcock for a second, that is that bird movie, right? The Hitchcock? " Anya stuttered as she began to ramble, the man smiled as she rambled and Anya noticed and smiled before saying " I'm Anya ".

" I'm Stefan " He smiled back.

" I know, we have history together " Anya smiled.

" And English and French " Stefan continued.

" right " Anya trailed off as she smiled wildly.

Stefan gestured to Anya's chest and she looked down as he pulled a leaf out of her hair.

" Thanks " Anya smiled, they smiled at each other before Anya looked down nervously and noticed Stefan's ring " Nice ring " Anaya said gesturing to his ring.

" Oh.....uh.....it's a family ring......yeah....kinda stuck with it, it's weird, Huh" Stefan replied.

" No, no......it's just, there are rings and then there's....that " Anya stuttered.

" Did you hurt yourself? " Stefan asked. 

" Hmm? " Anya muttered.

" Did you hurt yourself? " Stefan asked again.

" Oh, uh.....I don't know? " Anya said as she walked over to a loose piece of stone and placed her foot on it and rolled up her jeans and saw that she had blood dripping down a scrap on her ankle " Ohh, would you look at that? That is not pretty " Anya hissed as she looked at the blood on her scrap before looking at Stefan, who quickly looked away " Are you okay? " Anya asked worried.

" You should go......take care of that " Stefan demanded as Anya looked at her ankle again and began to roll her jeans back down.

" Really, it's nothing " Anaya said as she turned to Stefan, only to see he had disappeared.

" Me and Elena are meeting Bonnie at the grill " Anaya said as Jenna walked past.

" K, have fun " Jenna said before she turned around " Wait, I got this.......don't stay out late, it's a school night ".

" Well done, aunt Jenna " Anya chuckled.

" Ready to go? " Elena asked her sister as she walked over to her.

" Yep....you? " Anya asked and Elena nodded as they walked to the front door and Anya opened it and gasped, when she saw Stefan standing there.

" Sorry, I was about to knock " Stefan said.

" I'll meet you in the car, Nya " Elena giggled as she walked past Stefan and into Anya's car.

" I wanted to apologise for my disappearing act earlier, I know it was strange " Stefan continued.

" No worries " Anya shrugged " I get it, blood makes you squeamish.

" Something like that.......how's you're leg? " Stefan asked.

" Oh, it's fine....just a scratch, barely " Anya smiled before asking confused " How did you know where I lived? ".

" It's a small town, I asked the first person I saw " Stefan shrugged before digging into his back pocket and pulled out Anya's diary  " I thought you might want this back ".

" Are you going? " Stefan asked Anya.

" Of course, she is " Bonnie and Elena said for Anya, who smiled tucking her hair behind her ear.

" The Battle Of Willow creek took place at the end of the war, in our very own Mystic Falls.....how may casualties took place in this war " Tanner started before turning to Bonnie " Miss Bennett? ".

" Um........a lot? " Bonnie said " I'm not sure, but like a whole lot ".

" Cute becomes dumb in an instant, Miss Bennett " Tanner said before turning to Matt " Mr. Donovan.....would you like to take this opportunity to overcome your jock stereotype? ".

" It's okay, Mr. Tanner, I'm cool with it " Matt said.

" Elena, surely you can enlighten us about one of the towns most historical events " Tanner said turning to Elena.

" He has that romance novel stare " Elena added before laughing as she grabbed Anya's arms and looked deeply into to her eyes playfully " Stefan looked deep into her eyes, piercing her very soul "

Anaya and Bonnie laughed.

" Hey, you made it " Caroline smiled as she bounced over to Stefan.

" I did " Stefan said awkwardly.

" Well, let's get you a drink " Caroline said.

" Ahh, we'll I'm—" Stefan started.

" Oh, come on " Caroline interrupted as she began to drag him over to the drinks.

" So, where is he? " Bonnie asked Anya.

" I don't know " Anya shrugged " You tell me, you're the psychic one ".

" Right, I forgot " Bonnie smiled " Okay, so give me a sec...grams says, I have to concentrate " Bonnie said beginning to get serious.

" Wait, you need a crystal ball " Anya said before grabbing an empty beer bottle from the ground and sang " Ta-da ".

Bonnie grabbed it, looking wide eyed for a moment as Elena and Anya looked at her with worry and confusion, Bonnie pulled her hand away quickly.

" What? " Elena asked.

" That was weird " Bonnie gasped looking at Anya " When I touched you.....I saw a crow ".

" What? " Anaya gasped.

" A crow......there was fog......a man " Bonnie replied before shrugging it off with an awkward laugh " I'm drunk, it's the drinking, there's nothing psychic about it ".

Bonnie grabbed the beer bottle from Anya, who was confused.

" Yeah? Okay...I'm gonna go get a refill " Bonnie said before rushing off.

" I'm gonna go see if she's okay " elena said before following after Bonnie.

" Okay " Anya said confused, she then turned and quickly smiled, when she saw a smiling Stefan standing in front of her.

" Hi " Stefan smiled.

" Hi " Anya chuckled.

" I-I did it again, didn't I? " Stefan said.

" Yeah " Anya smiled.

" I'm sorry " Stefan said as Anya took a deep breath and Stefan noticed " You're upset about something? ".

" Oh, uh.....no, it's just Bonnie, she's.......you know what....never mind......you're here " Anya smiled.

" I'm here " Stefan smiled.

" You know you're kinda the talk of the town " Anya said as she and Stefan walked away from the crowned party.

" Am I? " Stefan questioned.

" Mm-hm " Anya mused " Mysterious new guy...oh, yeah ".

" Well, you have a mysterious thing going too " Stefan said before adding " Twinged in sadness ".

" What makes you think I'm sad? " Anya asked.

" Well.....we did met in a graveyard " Stefan replied.

" Right......well, no technically, we met outside the men's room " Anya smiled before saying " You don't wanna know, It's not exactly party chitchat ".

" Well, I've never really been very good at chitchat " Stefan smiled softly.

" Last spring........my parents car drove off a bridge into the lake.........and me and my sister Elena, we're the only ones who survived, but.......but they didn't, so that's my story " Anya said sadly looking at her hands awkwardly, her parents death affected still, but she was trying to put on a brave face for her siblings.

Anya smiled softly at him as they walked over to the rails and looked at the view.

" I like Bonnie, she seems like a good friend " Stefan said.

" Tyler can't seem to take his eyes off of us " Stefan said as he looked at Tyler, who was glaring at them.

" Tyler's that childhood friend that you start dating......because you owe it to yourselves to see if you can be more " Anya explained.

" And then my parents died.......and everything changed " Anya replied " Anyways, Tyler and I, we just......I don't know, it just wasn't....uhh....it wasn't...." .

" Passionate " Stefan said.

" No " Anya smiled " No, it wasn't passionate ".

" I was wondering, who abducted you....and now I know " Anya chuckled.

" No.....you're just fresh meat, she'll back off eventually " Anya replied with a smile before it quickly dropped, when she saw Elena and Jeremy walking into the woods with Elena scolding her brother.

" Oh god, I'm so sorry, I have to make sure my brother and sister are okay " Anya said before running after Elena and Jeremy.

" Lena.....Jere " Anya called.

" Jeremy " Elena called " Jeremy, where the hell are you going? ".

" I don't want to hear it " Jeremy snapped before he fell over and on top of an unconscious Vicki.

" Vicki, no " Jeremy cried before looking at a shocked Elena and Anya " Oh my god, it's Vicki ".

Suddenly Vicki gasped wake.

" Come one, guys, we have to get her some help " Anya said frantically as she, Elena and Jeremy grabbed Vicki and carried her back to the party.

" Somebody, help " Elena cried.

" Vicki, Vicki what the hell? " Matt cried as he ran over as Anya, Jeremy and Elena placed Vicki's body on a table " What happened, Bonnie, call an ambulance ".

" Everyone back up, give her some space " Tyler snapped.

" It's her neck, something bit her, she's loosing a lot of blood " Anya cried.

" Vicki, Vicki, come on open your eyes " Matt cries.

Stefan walked into his room, slamming the door behind him as a crow flew into his room cawing. Stefan then turned around and saw someone, he wasn't expecting.

" Damon " Stefan sighed.

" Hello, brother " Damon smirked.

" The crows a bit much, don't you think? " Stefan said.

" Wait till you see, what I can do with the fog " Damon replied.

" When did you get here? " Stefan asked.

" Well, I couldn't miss your first day of school " Damon answered leaning on a bookcase " Your hairs different, I like it ".

" It's been 15 years, Damon " Stefan scoffed.

" Thank god, I couldn't take another day of the 90's " Damon groaned before walking away from the bookcase " That horrible grunge look......did not suit you " Damon laughed.

" Remember, Stefan, it's important to stay away from the feds " Damon added.

" Why are you here? " Stefan asked.

" I missed my little brother " Damon said.

" You hate small towns, it's boring, there's nothing for you to do " Stefan scoffed.

Anya and Elena watched as the ambulance left to the hospital.

" Hey, we're gonna go to mainline coffee and wait for news " Bonnie said as she approached the twins.

" We gotta take Jeremy home " Elena said.

" Hey, why don't you go with them...I know you're worried, I can take Jeremy home " Anya smiled at Elena.

" Are you sure? " Elena asked.

" 100% sure " Anya smiled.

" That it's just the beginning " Bonnie sighed before she and Elena walked away.

" Elena is not Katherine " Stefan said.

" Well, let's hope not " Damon replied " Tell me, when's the last time you had something stronger than a squirrel? ".

" Let's do it together, I saw a couple of girls out there, or let's just cut to the chase......let's just go straight for Anya " Damon taunted again, hitting him again.

Stefan pushed Damon back " Stop it " Stefan yelled.

" Imagine what her blood tastes like " Damon yelled, Stefan turns away his face changing as Damon continued " I can ".

" I said stop " Stefan yelled as he charged at Damon causing them to fly out the window and slam onto the floor, Stefan groaned as he got and saw that Damon was missing.

" I was impressed, I give it a six, you missed on style but I was pleasantly surprised " Damon smirked " Very good with the whole face......" he then mocks Stefan by growling playfully " thing, it was good " Damon laughed.

" Yeah, it's all fun and games, Damon, Huh? " Stefan snapped " But wherever you go, people die ".

" That's given " Damon shrugs.

" I take that as an invitation " Damon smirked.

Stefan grabbed it and put it on, suddenly Damon grabbed Stefan by his neck and threw him like a rag doll causing him to slam against the shed as Damon vamp sped over to him.

" You should know better than to think, you're stronger than me, you lost that fight, when you stopped feeding on people, I wouldn't try it again " Damon snapped before smirking when he heard a thud " I think we woke zack up, sorry Zack " Damon then walked away whistling.

Anya walked over to Jeremy and placed an arm around him comfortingly " Are you okay? Jenna's on her way and Elena went with Bonnie and Caroline to wait on some news " Anya said.

" Do you think Vicki's gonna be okay? " Jeremy cried.

" I'm sure, she'll be fine....and we can go visit her in the hospital " Anya smiled lightly.

Jeremy nodded as he leaned against her.

" Are you sober yet? " Bonnie asked Caroline as she, Caroline and Elena sat in mainline coffee trying to sober Caroline up.

" Nope " Caroline groaned.

" Keep drinking, I gotta get you home, I gotta get Elena home and I gotta get me home " Bonnie said.

" Why didn't he go for me? How come the guys that I want never want me? " Caroline asked.

" We're not touching that " Elena said and Bonnie nodded in agreement.

" I'm inappropriate, I always say the wrong thing......and Anya aways says the right thing.....god, she doesn't even have to try and he just picks her.......and she's always the one that everyone picks.....for everything .....and I try...so hard.....and......and I'm never the one " Caroline said.

" It's not a competition, Caroline " Bonnie said.

" Yeah, it is " Caroline replied.

Anya sat at her bay window and was drawing in her sketchbook, she looked out the window and saw Stefan looking at her from down below, she quickly got up and ran downstairs and opened the front door.

" I know it's late....but, uhh......but I needed to know that you were okay " Stefan said.

" You know, for months, that's all anyone wondered about me........if I'll be okay......" Anya started.

" And what do you tell them? " Stefan asked.

" That I'll be fine " Anya shrugged.

" Do you ever mean it? " Stefan asked.

" Ask me tomorrow " Anya replied.

" It's warmer in the house, we can talk " Anya suggested before gesturing for him to come in " Would you like to come in ".

" Yes " Stefan smiled before walking inside as Anya shut the door behind him.
