The Wheelers ate dinner with the addition of Lucas and Dustin, not knowing there was three kids with powers in Mike's room. Everyone picked at their food while they stayed silent.

"Something wrong with the meatloaf?" Mrs. Wheeler asked.

"Oh no, I had two bologna sandwiches for lunch, I don't know why" Dustin explained awkwardly.

"Me too" Lucas said

"it's delicious Mommy" Nancy said sweetly.

"Thank you sweetie."

"So there's this... special assembly thing tonight... for Will at the school field. Barb's driving" Nancy lied straight through her teeth.

"Why am I just hearing about this?" Mrs. Wheeler asked. Nancy stared wide-eyed.

"I thought you knew" Nancy said.

"I told you, I don't want you out after dark until Will is found" Mrs. Wheeler strictly said.

"I know, I know but it'd be super weird if I'm not there. I mean, everyone's going" Mrs. Wheeler sighed as she thought about it.

"Just... be back by 10:00" she decided and Nancy nodded.

"Why don't you take the boys too" Mrs. Wheeler suggested as she looked at the three boys.

"No!"

"Mmm-mmm" they all disagreed, they knew Nancy actually wasn't going to the school.

"Don't you think you should be there? For Will" Mrs. Wheeler said. Mike coughed into his milk that he was drinking once he saw Tee, Vee and El walk down the stairs, heading to the basement. Mrs. Wheeler started to turn around but Dustin banged on the table before she could see the bald-headed children.

"Sorry, spasm." Dustin lied. Mike stared down at the milk covering his clothing. Holly whimpered as she sank down in her chair.

"It's ok Holly, it's just a loud noise"

"Nice" Nancy whispered sarcastically as Dustin cowered back in embarrassment.

El and Vee continued to play with Mike's supercomm. Tee staring at them, waiting for the boys to come downstairs.

"Guys?" Mike's voice was heard as him, Dustin and Lucas came downstairs following behind him. Mike was holding a tray that had three plates with food.

"No adults, just us and some meatloaf." Mike reassured. The kids halted up at Lucas who's stood next to Dustin.

"Don't worry, they won't tell anyone about you guys, they promise, right?" Mike said as he turned the two boys.

"We never would've upset you if we knew you guys had superpowers" Mike quickly turned and smacked Dustin's leg.

"Ow"

"What Dustin is trying to say is that they were just scared... earlier, that's all." Mike explained

"We just wanted to find our friend." Lucas said. The girls furrowed their eyebrows at the word 'friend'.

" 'friend'?" El murmured

"Yeah, friend, Will?" Lucas subtly explained.

"What is 'friend'?" Tee asked.

"Is she serious?" Lucas said as he looked at Dustin. Dustin lightly shrugged his shoulders.

"Um, a friend-" Lucas started but was cut off by Mike

"Is someone that you'd do anything for" Mike explained.

"You lend them your cool stuff, like comic books and trading cards." Dustin continued.

"And they never break a promise" Mike smiled.

"Especially when there's spit" Lucas added.

"Spit?" Vee furrowed her eyebrows in disgust.

"A pit swear means... you never break your word, it's a bond" Lucas spat in his hand and shook Dustin's hand, the boy stared in disgust and wiped it away.

"That's super important, because they tell each other things, things that parents don't know. But then there's a stronger bond than that, it's when you love someone." Mike said.

"Love?" This time El was confused.

"When you love someone you make sure they ok and make sure they never get hurt. It's when you truly care for someone, more than friends"

Eleven, Vee and Tee walked towards Mike's DnD board. Eleven sat on the chair while the Sokovian twins stood behind her like bodyguards.

"What are the weirdos doing?" Lucas asked as him, Dustin and Mike walked towards them.

"El?" Mike called. Eleven picked up the wizard figurine on board and stared at it.

"Will" she simply muttered.

"Superpowers" Lucas looked at Dustin and rolled his eyes at his statement.

"Did you guys see him? On Mirkwood? Do you know where he is?" Mike asked the subjects. Eleven wiped of all the figurines except two. She flipped the board upside down making the dark side of it face upwards. She took Will's figure and smacked right in the middle.

"I don't understand" Mike said.

"Hiding" El murmured.

"Will is hiding?" Eleven nodded.

"From the bad men?" All three of them now shook their shaved heads.

"Then from who?" Mike asked. Eleven and Tee looked to their right at Vee. She nodded and closed her. Her eyes could be seen rapidly moving under its lids. She suddenly opened them to reveal glowing red eyes. The boys looked at her in fear while Tee and Eleven waited.

Vee picked up a figurine with multiple heads and placed it right in front of Will's. The boys all stared at each other in horror while the lab rats stared at the board in silence.

Will was hiding from the Demogorgan.

Y'all sorry for this short ass chapter. I was gonna write more but I haven't updated this book in a while so I just wanted to give you guys this.
