ᴡʜᴇʀᴇ ᴛʜᴇʏ ᴛʀʏ ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ ᴡɪʟʟ

The boys wandered around the side of the school. They were looking for rocks for Lucas to use with his wrist rocket. Mike picked up a random rock and showed it to Dustin

"How about this one." Mike asked

"Too big for the sling" Dustin answered after checking it out.

"So do you think they were born with their powers, like the X-Men. Or do you think they... acquired them, like- like Green Lantern." Dustin asked as he continued to look for rocks.

"They're not superheros, they're weirdos." Lucas insulted

"Why does that matter, the X-Men are weirdos." Mike defended the subjects.

"If you love her so much, why don't you marry her?" Lucas teased the raven haired boy.

"What are you talking about about?" Mike deadpanned, confused by the use of 'her'.

"Mike seriously?"

"What?"

You look at El all like... 'hi El! El! El! El! I love you so much, would you marry me?' " Lucas started to tease Mike about his supposed "crush" on El. He even went so far to get down on one knee.

"Shut up Lucas" Mike said annoyed, totally not amused.

"Yeah shut up Lucas." All of a sudden Troy and his cliche sidekick that the boys honestly couldn't remember and could not give a fuck about, appeared before them, ready to torment and bully them for the day.

"What are you losers doing doing back here?" Troy said

"Probably looking for their missing friend." Troys sidekick teased.

"That's not funny, it's serious. He's in danger." Dustin defended

"I hate to break it to you toothless, but he's not the in danger. He's dead. That's what my dad says. He said he was probably killed by some other queer." They both laughed as the other boys glared.

"Come on, just ignore them." Mike said before he walked away. Before he could get past them, Troy stuck his foot out. Making Mike fall and hit his chin on a sharp rock.

"Watch where you're going, Frogface." Troy said before high-fiving his friend and walked away laughing.

"You alright?"

"Yeah"

"Hey, how about this one?" Dustin picked up the rock Mike fell on and showed it to Mike.

"Yeah, yeah this is it" Mike smiled

"Oh yeah, yeah this is the monster killer!" The boys grinned and laughed as Lucas inspected the rock.

Tee, Vee and El walked out to the back of Mike's house to the said 'power lines'. Tee checked the watch Mike had given him to see if it was the correct time.

"Three-one-five. Three-one-five. Three-one-five" Tee repeated like it would make Mike and the others appear before the three.

Suddenly, a hiss was heard from behind them. The three stared at the cat behind the face. While Eleven stared at it in a trance, the twins noticed the boys arrived. Tee smiled and hopped on the back of Mike's bike. Vee was about to join them but she realized El hadn't moved from her spot.

"Eleven" she said in her thick Sokovian accent. The girl turned around to see Vee standing behind her

"You... ok?" Vee asked in her broken english. El nodded at her.

"Hop on, we only have a few hours." Dustin said while tapping the back of his bike. Eleven nodded and sat down behind him.Vee sat behind Lucas as the rode off.

The Gang walked in beside the thin forest parts of Hawkins. Lucas and Dustin walked out in middle , El and Vee walked in behind them, holding hands while Tee and Mike walked in front of them all.

"Why did they hurt you" Tee asked as he turned towards Mike. The boy looked towards Tee.

"What" Mike said in confusion. Tee pointed towards his chin that was slowly healing.

"Oh, that. Uh... I just fell at recess." Mike lied.

"Mike"

"Yeah?"

"Friends tell truth" Tee slurred. Mike sighed.

"I was tripped by this mouth breather, Troy ok." Mike explained annoyed.

"Mouth b-breather" Tee asked confused.

"Yeah, you know... a dumb person, a knucklehead."

"Knucklehead?" Tee thought that he should probably stick to his Russian insults instead.

"I don't know why I just didn't tell you. Everyone at school knows. I just didn't want you to think I was such a wastoid, you know?" Mike muttered to Tee.

"Mike"

"Yeah?"

"I understand" Tee simply told him.

"Oh, ok, cool, cool" they both smiled each other as they continued to walk.

By the time it was night time, the gang had arrived at Will Byers house. El and Vee were now in the front, staring at the house.

"Here" they said as they turned towards the others.

"Yeah... this is where Will lives." Mike said slowly

"Hiding" El whispered

"No, no. This is where he lives. He's missing from here, understand?" Mike explained slowly.

"What are we doing here?" Lucas said in disappointment while Dustin dropped his bike to ground.

"They think this is where Will's hiding."

"Um... no!"

"I swear, if we walked all the way out here for nothing-" Dustin started to complain before Lucas interrupted him.

"That's exactly what we did. I told you she didn't know what the hell she was talking about." Lucas yelled at Mike. Mike rolled his eyes and sighed before he turned to the two girls.

"Why did you bring us here?" Mike asked. Vee and El began to stammer as they raised their voices.

"Mike, don't waste your time with her" Lucas told him.

"What do you want to do then?" Mike said.

"Call the cops, like we should have done yesterday."

"We are not calling the cops" Mike yelled.

"Hey guys?" Dustin tried to get the other's attention. Tee looked towards where Dustin was staring at.

"What other choice do we have!"

"GUYS!" Dustin yelled again, catching the rest of their attention. Sirens blared as cop cars and an ambulance passed by.

"Will..." Mike mumbled. As the others grabbed their bike, Vee hopped on Tee's back and Tee quickly zoomed to where the cars were heading, making sure no one saw them.

The twins arrived at the scene, hiding behind a fire truck. They watched everything in horror. A few minutes later, Mike, El, Dustin and Lucas arrived behind them, watching people pull Will's corpse out of the quarry.

"It's not Will. It can't be" Mike mumbled in disbelief.

Vee and Tee glared as Mike yelled in the background, they tuned him out, not focusing on him. They glared knowing that it was not Will. This was all fake. they looked at each other, they knew who was behind this.
