season 2, episode 7: restraint
"No Stiles! And no Y/n, even if she may be my favorite."
THE NIGHT SKY was up in Beacon Hills as it was still the same night when Jackson Whittemore as the Kanima had escaped the Sheriff's van from the four teenagers. Allison had gone back home earlier while the trio went to the Sheriff's station to speak with Stiles' dad. However, they were surprised to see Jackson there with his father.
At the moment, the trio found themselves sitting beside one another, Y/n in-between the two boys after they had spoken to Allison on the phone. Turns out, someone was controlling Jackson when he's the Kanima, not his friend. In the room with the teenagers stood Jackson's father, Stiles father, Scott's mother and Y/n's father.
"You will not go within fifty feet of Jackson Whittemore. You will not speak to him. You will not approach him. You will not assault or harass him physically or psychologically." Sheriff Stilinski explains, placing the clipboard he was holding down on the table.
"What about school?" Stiles asks after a moment.
"You can attend classes while attempting to maintain a fifty-foot distance." Sheriff Stilinski replies.
"What if we both have to use the bathroom at the same time and there's only two stalls available and they're only right next to each other?" Stiles questions, but his father just stares at him. "I'll just hold it."
Soon enough, Jackson's father was leaving the room as they trio walked to each of their parents, ready to get a scolding like they expected. Y/n walked with her father as they passed Stiles and his father, the teenager being scolded by his father. Stopping near the hall, Coach stops as he turns to his daughter, letting out a sigh.
"I'm really disappointed, Y/n. You're a good kid, why did you have to go and do this? Especially with McCall and Stilinski." Coach scolds. "I'm still trying to think if I should ground you or not, but for now, you're gonna be on the bench for a week."
Nodding in response to her father's words, the girl looks down, telling her father she'll meet him in the car as she goes to say goodbye to her two best friends. Turning around, she meets up with Stiles as they listen to Scott's mom scold him and ground him, telling him he couldn't have TV or computer, but Scott replied that the TV was broken and he needed the computer for school.
"Then no..." Melissa begins, glancing at the other two. "No Stiles and Y/n."
Stiles eyes widen. "No Stiles?"
"No Stiles!" Melissa yells. "And no Y/n, even if she may be my favorite."
Y/n tried not to smile, even if the woman was angry as she whispered that last bit. Stiles eyes widened again as he heard it as well, opening his mouth as he stammered out words before slouching down, receiving a pat on the shoulder from the girl beside him.

The sun was up in the small town and shining through the windows of Beacon Hills High School as students and teachers were walking all around. The library wasn't as crowded like the halls were, but there were a few people. The trio found themselves in one aisle as they soon watched Allison go into the aisle beside them, digging into her bag and grabbing a tablet before giving it to Scott through the shelves.
They had to make sure they wouldn't be caught by either Allison's grandfather or mother who was now a substitute teacher here, more specifically, they couldn't catch Scott and Allison together. Y/n and Stiles held books as they tried to act normal before looking at the tablet.
"It's everything Lydia can translate. She was very confused." Allison whispers.
"What'd you tell her?" Scott asks.
"That we were part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures." Allison replies.
"I am part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures." Stiles tells them with a serious expression.
"Does it say how to find out who's controlling him?" Y/n questions, moving past the subject.
Allison shakes her head. "Not really. But Stiles was right about the murderers. It calls the Kanima a weapon of vengeance."
Continuing their conversation all together, the trio listen as Allison explains the story of the Kanima while also looking at the words Lydia had translated on the tablet. The Argent girl even adds that the Kanima was actually supposed to be a werewolf. Soon enough, they come up with the idea that Allison would go speak to Jackson, considering the restraining-order the trio had with him and Scott also had a make up test to do.
"If he does anything, you run the other way." Scott tells her.
"I can take care of myself." Allison assures.
"Allison, if you get hurt while I'm busy with some stupid test, someone's gonna need to take care of me. If he does anything..." Scott states, trailing off.
"Like?" Allison asks.
Stiles pokes his head through the bookshelf. "Anything evil!"
Looking at him with raised brows, the brunette girl brings a hand up, placing it right on his face as she pushes his head back on the other side, making him stumble a bit as he tried to catch the book in his hands.

The day continued on as it usually did with the students of Beacon Hills high school walking through the halls. Earlier in the day, after their talk in the library, Allison had went to speak with Jackson while Y/n and Stiles followed Lydia around the halls in hopes of getting some information about Jackson's real parents, but the strawberry blonde didn't give them anything unless they told her why they needed the information.
Lydia had gotten away when Erica had intervened, wondering why the teenagers wanted to know about Jackson Whitmore's real parents and it was then the werewolf told them that his parents were dead in her own way.
After that, the blonde had been able to realize that the Kanima was actually Jackson and not Lydia or anyone else, which led them to going to the locker room, only for them to get detention when Mr. Harris had caught them trying to stop Scott from fighting against Jackson, who had been thrown out of the locker room when they got there.
At the moment, the trio found themselves sitting at one table away from Jackson, the said Kanima sitting at a table with Allison and a boy named Matt while Erica sat at a table by herself.
"I'm gonna kill him." Scott breathes out, glancing at Jackson.
"No, you're not." Y/n denies.
"You're gonna find out who's controlling him and then help save him." Stiles adds.
Scott shakes his head. "No. You were right, let's kill him."
"What if it's Matt?" Stiles suggests. "This whole thing comes back to the video, right?"
"Danny said that Matt was the one who found the two hours of footage missing." Scott replies.
Stiles nods. "Exactly! He's trying to throw suspicion off himself."
"It does make sense." Y/n agrees, nodding slowly.
"So he makes Jackson kill Isaac's dad, one of Argent's hunters, and the mechanic working on your jeep?" Scott concludes, receiving a nod. "Why?"
"Because... he's evil." Stiles reluctantly states.
"You just don't like him." Y/n points out.
Stiles shrugs. "The guy bugs me. I don't know what it is. Just look at his face."
The trio watched as Matt held an innocent-like expression as he offered some chips in a bag to Jackson, who shook his head in response. The three look back at each other, only to look again when they saw Jackson stand up, grabbing his bag, claiming he needed to go to the bathroom while clutching his forehead.
Mr. Harris called out to him, asking if he was okay before demanding the others stay in their seats before following the teenager out of the library. When he left, the trio went to the table Erica was at in hopes of knowing what happened to Jackson's parents.
Scott had eventually been called to the principal's office as Erica had opened her computer, explaining to them about Jackson's parents. It only lasted a few minutes before Jackson had came back with Mr. Harris, the teacher packing his stuff and demanding that the teenagers could leave once they stocked all the books in front of him.
After that, Y/n and Stiles found themselves in one aisle with Allison and Scott while the other teenagers were doing the something else, the couple listening to Stiles and Y/n explain what they learned.
"Was it an accident or not?" Allison questions.
Y/n shrugs. "The report says inconclusive."
"Then his parents could have been murdered?" Scott asks.
Stiles nods. "If they were, then it falls in line with the Kanima myth. It seeks out and kills murderers."
"For Jackson? Or for the person controlling him?" Allison questions.
"We have to tell him." Scott states.
Before they could say anything, the werewolf stepped out of the aisle and in the direction to Jackson in hopes of speaking with him. After a couple seconds, Allison started to step out of the aisle to follow, only to stop when the entire library shook, the shelves shaking while the concrete on the ceiling broke, falling on them.
Quickly, Stiles frantically grabbed ahold of Y/n and Allison, pulling them down with him as he covered their heads. The sound of Erica yelling could be heard, followed by a loud roar before Scott was thrown back in front of his best friends and girlfriend.
The werewolf was quick to crouch with them in the aisle, putting his arm out in front of Allison while Stiles and Y/n continued holding onto each other. The four teenagers look at Jackson's figure just a few feet away from them, his eyes glowing yellow, his teeth sharp and one side of his face scaly.
The Kanima held a piece of chalk in his hand as he rose his arm, writing on the chalkboard. 'Stay out of my way or I'll kill all of you', it read. After that, slowly, the teenagers stood up and stepped out of the aisle.
Hearing the sound of heavy breathing, Y/n looks over her shoulder to see Erica shaking on the floor, to which she rushes to the werewolf and out of Stiles arms, holding the blonde in her arms while calling to her friends. Stiles and Scott rushed beside her while Allison went to the aisle over and crouched beside an unconscious Matt, checking his pulse to make sure he was alive, which he was.
"We need to get her to a hospital." Y/n calls out, referring to the werewolf she was holding.
"Derek, only to Derek." Erica croaks out in protest.
"Go." Allison instructs.
Looking at his girlfriend, the brown eyed werewolf stands up and runs to the other side of the aisle, crouching in front of his girlfriend. Soon enough, Scott rushed back over and picked Erica bridal style before they were rushing out of the library.
After getting in Stiles jeep, they made it to the warehouse Derek was staying at, getting the older werewolf where he picked Erica up, leading them into an abandoned bus in the warehouse. Y/n knelt behind Erica, holding her up while Derek grabbed the blonde's arm, twisting it and breaking it, causing Erica to scream out in pain.
Claiming it'll trigger the healing process when Y/n and Stiles looked at him with wide eyes, Derek was then squeezing her arm tightly, his nails probably digging into her skin as her blood poured out of her arm and onto the ground below them, more screams escaping the werewolf.
Eventually, Erica had fallen back and against Y/n, staring up at her as heavy pants escaped past her lips. After a couple minutes, Derek and Scott stepped out of the bus to speak, leaving Y/n, Stiles and Erica inside.
