✿✼:*゚🍀:༅。.。༅:*・゚゚・⭑🍁Chapter 57- Meeting the Mins

Later...

You headed home after the audition for the new drama series in the director's private office. Despite your nervousness, the production crew at Director Jo Hyun-Tak's office was remarkably friendly, urging you to read the script for him.

You were taken aback when your manager Seorom and acting agent mentioned that this director typically only cast professionals, not rookies like yourself, leaving you doubtful about securing the role.

While Rose and Jisoo sent comforting messages before your Dior shoot, Jennie's open ghosting left a pang in your heart, even though you managed to smile at your bandmates. Surprisingly, Lisa sent cute emojis, wishing you luck.

The gesture from Lisa overshadowed the sadness over Jennie's behaviour, leaving you to wonder if being with Yoongi had caused the strain in your friendship with her.

You and your new management team discussed the audition on your way back.

Seorom grinned from his seat beside the driver, "See? You were nervous for nothing. The director adored you the moment you stepped into that office. You even won over the staff."

Softly shaking your head, you replied, "I thought he only wanted me because of the allure of the Blackpink twins."

Seorom snorted, "Oh, please! You're a tremendous asset to the agency. Your stage performances as a student and your acting in Epik's music videos showcase your duality. You're truly unique, Ji-Ho. Never doubt yourself. You and Jisoo are very different. She's confident and extroverted, but you possess depth, high emotional intelligence, and exceptional talent across all artistic realms-academics, modelling, dancing, singing, and now, exploring acting. You're the complete package, my girl."

His words widened your eyes, a warmth flooding your soul that almost brought tears. Besides your soulmate and your dad, Seorom's speech deeply touched you, especially considering the uncertainty stemming from being an unwanted child. Hearing such value from someone outside your family evoked strong emotions.

With a tearful smile, you said, "Thank you, Seorom. I couldn't understand why my agent sent me the script for the female lead; I was shocked. Yeong Ro was a supporting character, but realising it's the main lead was mind-blowing. I was so scared, but as I read the lines, the director stopped me after a while. He had me read the entire first episode, including the emotional parts..."

Seorom beamed, "You were marvelous, Ji-Ho. Be proud of yourself. Your first major role after the reveal and your acting debut will be significant. The audience will adore you."

Smirking, you continued, "When Hyun-Tak said, 'Ji-Ho, you are indeed Yeong Ro,' I was shocked. He practically threatened to inform my agency that I was taking the part because I was the real Yeong-Ro. I still feel like I'm dreaming."

Inhaling deeply, you looked at your thrilled manager, feeling incredibly lucky and blessed to be acknowledged as Ji-Ho and not simply as Jisoo.

Seorom smirked. "Now you'll have to move back to Seoul."

You took a deep breath and replied, "Yeah, I told the director I'll be available after a month. I'm attending a drama workshop for that duration and will come back. Luckily, they're still in the casting phase, and in two months, there will be a press conference with the cast and crew. I hope the media won't criticize me too harshly."

Seorom nodded, "There might be mixed reactions from netizens. This series seems controversial and political. Seasoned actresses might feel resentful that a Blackpink member secured the role right after her audition."

Exhaling loudly, you said, "I'm praying to become the best female lead ever. I hope I can pull it off."

Seorom laughed and said, "You'll enjoy it, especially since you'll be cast alongside Jung Hae-In. A great and handsome actor."

Your eyes widened. "The actor from 'While You Were Sleeping'! Oh my goodness, Seorom. He's an established actor. Won't he dislike me?"

Seorom chuckled. "He'll be very excited to work with Ji-Ho from Blackpink. Don't worry."

Pursing your lips, you pondered how your soulmate, Yoongi, might react if there were romantic scenes in the drama. Though he's not jealous, soulmates typically dislike seeing their partners kissing someone else. The thought left you apprehensive, hoping Bangtan would accept you as Yoongi's mate when you met them the next day. The anticipation made you nervous.

Upon reaching the agency, you briefed the senior management about the audition. Your acting agent was impressed upon hearing you had been cast as the female lead. The agency agreed to keep it under wraps until the production company officially disclosed the actors. You called your father, and he was overjoyed.

However, you requested him not to inform your mom, knowing she tends to share news prematurely. Keeping so many secrets from her worried you; you hoped she'd understand once she met Yoongi. You planned to disclose everything during a private luncheon with your parents, Bangtan's CEO, and Bang PD. The thought alone makes you nervous.

After lounging in the agency space where Blackpink typically rests, you text your soulmate, who's returned from Japan and is preparing for the Saitama shows. Smirking at your soulmate's profile name, "Sexy Cat," you cringe at the thought of friends stumbling upon your messages.

You: Hey, love, I'm finally done with my schedule. The Dior shoot was terrific, and Jisoo and I might become brand ambassadors.

She entered for Jisoo but emerged as Ji-Ho, the next brand ambassador. The audition went smoothly, too.

Sexy Cat: Incredible! You're making waves as yourself now. I'm proud of you and miss you loads.

You: All wrapped up, even the nerve-wracking audition for a drama series. I was a wreck.

Sexy Cat: Oh, I remember that. How'd it go?

You: Bagged the lead role instead of support. The director insisted I was his perfect Yeong Ro. I was so nervous but thrilled. It seems I'll be moving back to Seoul for it. Yoongs, I want this so badly.

Sexy Cat: Yay! You'll be closer. It's the best news ever. Congrats, darling. My parents are at my penthouse. I'm coming to pick you up, but I'll be waiting in the car. It's the new black SUV we're set to advertise next year, not yet on the market.

You: Wow, baby. I'm excited to check out your wheels. I can't wait to see you behind the wheel without anyone linking it to a BTS member. Meeting your parents has made me nervous, though.

Sexy Cat: Haha, next time, I'll be your chauffeur. Don't worry, my parents will adore you. They flew from Daegu to meet you, even for a short visit. They're already smitten and can't wait to meet you adequately. I mentioned we'd visit them after our Japanese tour; maybe you'll still be in Seoul. Our 'little second honeymoon' awaits.

You smile, your heart fluttering for Yoongi.

You: Looking forward to more time together. I already got a gift for your folks; I hope they'll love it.

You've picked up an extravagant bouquet: wild ginseng, fresh seasonal fruits, assorted snacks from the USA, something for them to enjoy during their stay in Seoul.

Sexy Cat: We'll be at your agency soon. Don't worry; my parents may adore you as much as I do.

You shake your head, overwhelmed with joy, knowing the depth of your love for Yoongi. You're grateful he's your soulmate, the guy who's held your heart since you were eighteen. You're sure your dad will embrace him, while your mom might faint before wondering if he's secretly matched with Jisoo.

You inwardly chuckle at the thought of your fiery mate and twin attempting to get along. Hoping for their politeness in front of your parents, you know managing Jisoo's passive aggression and Yoongi's open disdain will be challenging.

After exchanging a few more texts with Yoongi, you sigh with contentment, relishing solitude in the lounge. The occasional passing trainee waves respectfully but keeps a distance.

As you glance at your phone, a text from Jisoo during her festival break catches your eye. You're using her private number due to being banned from Blackpink's chat, a wound that still stings. Missing the group dynamics after the fight with Jennie, you contemplate navigating the Yonsei festival and music video shoot. Thankfully, you and Jisoo will work together on the music video.

Jisoo's text about the audition's outcome and your anxiety makes you grin.

Jisoo: Heya sis. How did the audition go? Does it look promising? I hope you weren't filled with anxiety. I could feel your fear a little. My fingers are crossed that you'll be cast in the drama. Then you'll be home for good.

Her transparent concern after four months apart is endearing. While still under contract to assist her, Your acting agents and senior management negotiations are underway for more flexibility in your new acting schedule. Anticipating your twin and mother's reactions to the news, you plan to step in for Jisoo only in dire circumstances, like severe illness or hospitalization.

You: Seems like you're hoping for me to move back. You're not subtle, Chichoo. Initially, I was a bit nervous, but it seems the director liked my acting. Let's wait for the agency's call about my performance.

You're cautious not to reveal that you secured the role, especially since Jisoo tends to talk a lot.

Jisoo: You know me, sis. But you'll get that part. It suits you perfectly; you'll be the best roommate in that role.

You smirked silently, knowing Jisoo wasn't unaware you'd already read for the female lead. You're looking forward to rehearsing privately with your male co-star, hoping for a good working relationship. This will mark your first time on a TV series set, promising a full-time commitment. Negotiations between your agency and the production company might make you significantly wealthier. Your senior manager hinted at a potential $80,000 per episode, making you a multi-millionaire in won.

You: Let's hope for the best. How's the festival going?

Jisoo: It's thrilling, but I'm already worn out. Thankfully, Lisa and Jennie are keeping the energy high on stage. Jennie seemed a little down, though; we can all tell she misses you but isn't admitting it.

You: I hope we can mend things soon. I miss her too. Let's give her the space she needs to work through this independently.

Jisoo: I feel responsible for exposing your past with Yoongi. Please forgive me. But this morning in the van, when the girls sent you a voice note wishing you luck, I noticed Jennie secretly smiling. She didn't realize I saw her expression change. I believe she's silently cheering for you too. So, please don't take her distant behaviour too seriously, alright?

You sigh, knowing Jennie can hold onto grudges. You're hopeful she'll eventually soften.

You: Okay.

Jisoo: Oh, sorry, we have to get back on stage. I'll catch up with you soon. Mom mentioned you'll stay over at a friend's house. Is it someone from your university days?

You: Yeah, somewhat. Just a night, spending time with them, then back home.

Jisoo: Enjoy your time with your friend. I wish I had great friends outside of Blackpink. I'm realizing how empty my life can be.

You: Maybe you should reconnect with your school best friend, the one you lost touch with after debuting. That's why I chose to pursue studies as well.

Jisoo: My best friend Sang-hee betrayed me by dating my crush behind my back while I was in the trainee dorms. After our fight, she moved to Thailand. My other friend, Mi-sun, debuted with Little Glee Monster in Japan. We only meet during shows in Japan if our schedules align. At least I'll always have you by my side.

You casually brush off Jisoo's text messages. She always thrived in a large social circle, being celebrated as the stunning and most sought-after girl in school, attracting numerous admirers and dating the cutest guys.

Contrarily, you were the intelligent, introverted, and socially awkward twin. Both you and Jisoo had been YG trainees since the age of 14, though you didn't quite relish that life. Without your identical faces, it would be hard to believe you and Jisoo were genuine twin sisters.

Fortunately, you escaped living in her shadow for a long. As a bespectacled drama fanatic, you secured a scholarship to SOPA. It was a much-needed breath of fresh air, even though your mom disapproved of your choice to live your own life. Almost 17, you decided to discontinue your training and pursue studies after completing your senior year until that fateful day when you were compelled to take Jisoo's place at the camp workshop.

Suddenly, another notification popped up: your soulmate was waiting outside the agency's parking lot. With minimal cars around, you hastily bid farewell to Jisoo, grab your bag, and rush to the elevators. Your heart races with excitement, the anticipation of reuniting with your soulmate after a prolonged absence, leaving you breathless.

Passing by numerous staff members, you slip on your sunglasses and spot Yoongi's driver, who had previously driven you in Las Vegas, prompting your smile to broaden. Yoongi mentioned it would be a Black Hyundai Palisade SUV.

The driver stands by the open door, waiting for you. "Good day, miss. Great to see you again."

You flash a radiant smile at the older, courteous driver, eager to embrace your handsome soulmate, whose joy was tangible when he held you behind the dark tinted windows at the back.

Without delay, Yoongi passionately kisses you in the backseat. The driver swiftly takes the wheel, ensuring no one catches sight of the reunited couple happily driving out of the parking lot.

On the road, Yoongi's gentle smile meets yours as he reciprocates your affectionate kiss. Nestling into his embrace, you feel a sense of peace, overwhelmed with happiness at being back where you belong.

Letting out a deep sigh, Yoongi holds you close. "Oh my gosh, I missed you so much, darling," he murmurs against your hair, savouring your scent and gently kissing your cheek.

You smile contentedly against his chest. "I missed you too, sweetheart. I'm overjoyed you're safely back home."

He eases his embrace but keeps you snugly tucked by his side. You eagerly recount the highlights of your day: the Dior shoot and your meeting with the director of an upcoming Korean drama. Yet, you decide to leave out that you were banned from the Blackpink chat group, knowing it might irk him. Yoongi, in turn, shares the details of his shows in Osaka and Hiroshima. Wrapped in the arms of your soulmate, you feel entirely secure.

You were left utterly stunned when you drove into one of Seoul's most opulent neighbourhoods, your hands growing clammy with awe. Yoongi bought an apartment in the UN Village. He is neighbours with the creme del a creme. His driver drove at the private entrance, and Yoongi gave you his snapback to put on.

The driver will discreetly escort you to the top floor. Yoongi owned the whole penthouse floor with his private elevator. The exceptional service that he receives is top-notch. You felt your stomach churn nervously. Meeting Yoongis' parents makes you want to throw up.

Yoongi wore a smirk as you vanished into the elevator. He intertwined his fingers with yours, observing your nervous demeanour.

"Ready?" He raised his eyebrows, amused by your wide eyes. She was terrified. Would they approve of you? Would you be deemed the perfect match for their very successful mega-star son? Mothers could be peculiar. They'd scrutinize their son's soulmate with keen eyes.

Living under your sister's shadow for years, you'd never felt that motherly warmth. Your mother favoured Jisoo, her firstborn, disappointed to have twins. You were hidden behind Jisoo in the womb, even from the doctor's view. Your mother only desired Jisoo; she'd learned of the twins in her eighth month and hoped for a son and a daughter.

Shaking your head to dispel the negative thoughts, you looked into your soulmate's loving eyes for comfort.

"Yeah, I'm ready," you exhaled nervously.

Upon reaching Yoongi's opulent penthouse hallway, your heart raced. Yoongi thanked his driver, who left to return later. With anticipation, Yoongi tapped the security pad, and the door opened, inviting you both inside. You looked interestedly at the entrance room, where you quickly exchanged shoes for cute slippers.

You couldn't believe the scene that unfolded when you saw his parents rush towards you and Yoongi. His mom's excited eyes focused on you, exclaiming joyfully at your presence. Her chocolate brown hair was in cute waves around her face, and she looked feminine in her beautiful white and yellow printed dress. But you can tell it was designer wear.

"Oh my gosh! Yoongi finally brought our daughter home! Welcome, dear. Aren't you a beautiful girl?" She enveloped you in a warm embrace, ignoring Yoongi's surprised expression.

Observing Ji-ho's emotional reaction amidst the love, Yoongi smiled. His mom had completely forgotten he was home.

Greeting his dad with a side hug, Yoongi's dad welcomed him back and expressed gratitude for bringing his soulmate home. His dad was sturdy with some grey-speckled hair, and his smile was infectious, even if he looked a little intimidating.

His mom turned, warmly embracing her son and his soulmate. Their happiness was evident in being in his parents' presence.

You were pleasantly surprised that Yoongi was a mirror image of his beautiful mom, whose smile never left her face. She was indeed a very elegant and beautiful woman. You can understand Yoongis' admiration for his loving parents.

Smiling brightly, his mom welcomed you with an offer of bibimbap, eager for Yoongi to introduce you formally.

Yoongi snorted softly, feeling his mom had rushed the introductions. "Mom, you didn't even allow me to introduce you. Mom, Dad, meet Kim Ji-ho, my lovely soulmate from Seoul." he looked at you with deep love and affection. His parent's faces glowed with joy.

"I'm so sorry, son, I'm just so overwhelmed with joy," Apologizing for her excitement, his mom promised to spoil you rotten, officially welcoming you into the Min family.

His dad, smiling widely, greeted you formally," Is such an honour for us to meet you Kim Ji-ho...welcome to the Min-family finally." he warmly invited you to sit. Overwhelmed by the Mins' warmth, you followed the elders into Yoongi's breathtakingly luxurious penthouse.

A/n: Ji-ho met the parents.

1. Do you think Ji-ho's mom will accept the revised schedule?

2. Must she tell Jennie about being mated to Yoongi?

3. Do you think Ji-ho must return to the BP penthouse, move in with Bangtan or stay in her apartment?
