It's just because you're so scary cool

๐ธ๐ the moon hung high in the midnight sky, it's cool silver light cast an eerie glow over Monster High. Bats soared through the dark clouds, and the towering iron gates creaked open, revealing the school building standing tall and formidable. Thunder rumbled, and flashes of lightning split the sky, illuminating the spires and gables in an otherworldly, ominous glow. With a haunting moan, the wooden doors of Monster High swung open, releasing two ghastly ghosts that swirled around the chandelier lights above, their transparent forms flickering like candlelight.
The ghosts drifted down toward the shadowy depths of the catacombs beneath the school, where monsters slumbered, and ancient tentacles stretched out in an attempt to snare any intruder. But nothing stopped them as they floated into the elevator and descended deeper, eventually arriving at a shadowed alcove where a skeleton stood guard, a long key dangling from its bony fingers. With a quiet creak, a stone wall shaped like a heart opened, flooding the space with bright, vibrant light.
As the brightness faded, the scene came into focus: Frankie stood there, dressed in a striking blue and black dress with her signature hair tied up neatly. Her face lit up with excitement as she looked around, and a big smile spread across her face. "Oh, oh, it's Draculaura!" she exclaimed, pointing toward the centre of attention.
A grand party had taken over the cavernous room. Lights gleamed from every direction, and heart-shaped pink balloons floated above the crowd, creating a magical atmosphere. The assembled monsters erupted in cheers as Draculaura appeared, stepping out of a regal coffin carried by bats, her eyes sparkling with joy, "Happy sweet 1600!"
"Thank you, thank you!" she beamed, grinning from ear to ear, as Cleon stepped forward, his voice booming with a formal announcement. Reading from a scroll held up by a smiling Ghoulian he declared, "By royal decree, you are hereby ordered to party! Hit it, ghouls!"
Frankie grinned mischievously and grabbed a massive cord wire, connecting it to her bolts and sparking it with electricity to power up the speakers. Music erupted from the enormous sound system, thumping loud enough to make Jackson jump in alarm. "Oh, no. Loud music!" he muttered anxiously before transforming into Holt, his skin turning blue and his hair igniting into a bright flame. Holt hopped onto the DJ booth, grinning wide. "Let's get this joint jumping, yeah!" he shouted, his energy infectious.
Everyone cheered as the music pounded through the space, transforming it into an epic party. Frankie threw a thumbs-up to Zeraphine, who stood nearby with her dark green dress that shimmered under the lights, cut in an elegant, flowing style that brushed her knees with an asymmetrical hem. The dress hugged her figure perfectly, complementing her dark hair, which cascaded over her shoulders like a river of ink, soft and sleek.
Zeraphine, catching Frankie's signal, pulled a lever, and the surge of electricity sent the speakers blaring even louder. Draculaura squealed with delight as she danced through the decorations, finally stopping at a heart-shaped fountain filled with red liquid. She watched as two vampires eagerly dipped party cups into the fountain, only to gag and spit out the contents as she called out in amusement, "Tomato juice fountain!"
"Gross!" one of the vampires exclaimed, grimacing as Draculaura giggled and moved toward the long food table, her eyes lighting up as she took in the vibrant display. "Epic salad bar! It's everything a vegetarian vampire could hang a fang on!" She bit into a crunchy carrot with glee, relishing the fresh crunch.
"Hey, Draculaura!" called Lagoona, capturing her attention. She stood next to Gil, and the two shared a playful look before filling their mouths with water and spitting it into the air in a synchronized arc. Abby joined in, freezing the water midair to create a dazzling ice sculpture of Draculaura herself.
"You like?" Abby asked with a proud grin.
Draculaura gazed at the icy statue, beaming. "Fabu-licious!" she declared, twirling in delight before running off to dance.
The party roared on, with laughter, music, and excitement echoing through the catacombs. Zeraphine caught Cleon's eye, her soft smile meeting his, and they moved to the dance floor together, seamlessly falling into the rhythm of the night. As they swayed, Cleon's hand found her waist, and she rested her head on his shoulder, both lost in the magic of Draculaura's sweet 1600 celebration.
Howleen leaned on the balcony railing beside Operetta, her bright eyes wide with disbelief as she gazed at the festivities below. "Her birthday is on Valentine's Day?" she asked, her tone tinged with awe and envy.
Operetta smirked, her Southern drawl adding a melodic charm to her words. "You bet, sugar. Take a gander at her birthmark. The whole dang holiday was fashioned just for her." She gestured toward Draculaura, whose heart-shaped birthmark glowed faintly under the party lights, accentuating her ethereal beauty.
Howleen sighed, resting her chin on her hand. "She's so lucky!" she said wistfully, her gaze lingering on the lively scene below.
Their conversation was interrupted by a sudden, resounding howl. Both girls turned in time to see Clawd striding confidently through the crowd, his eyes locked on Draculaura. With a smooth leap, he landed gracefully in front of her, a playful grin tugging at his lips.
"No," Clawd said, his voice rich with sincerity as he looked at Draculaura with pure adoration. "I'm the one who's lucky."
Draculaura's cheeks flushed a delicate pink as she giggled, twirling a strand of her hair. "Clawd, you always make my dreams come true," she said softly, her fangs glinting as she smiled.
Clawd's grin widened as he handed her a bundle of gifts, each one more extravagant than the last. "Which is why I got you this. And this, and those, and these..." he listed, his arms extending to showcase the array of presents. Finally, he turned toward his sister, Clawdeen, and gave her a thumbs-up.
Clawdeen, standing off to the side, grabbed a thick rope with a smirk. She gave it a tug, and a large canvas dropped to reveal an intricately painted portrait of Draculaura. The painting captured her perfectly: radiant, poised, and vibrant, with the heart-shaped mark on her cheek glowing softly.
"I painted that," Clawd said with a touch of bashfulness, rubbing the back of his neck.
Draculaura gasped, her hands flying to her mouth. "O-M-Ghoul!" she exclaimed, her voice bubbling with excitement. She turned to Clawd and threw her arms around him in a tight hug. "Clawd, it's beautiful! You're the best. Can this day get any better?"
As if on cue, an announcer's voice echoed through the room, amplified by the speakers. "Draculaura! In honour of your most special birthday... a brand-new car!"
Draculaura's jaw dropped as she turned toward the stage, where her sleek new car was unveiled under a spotlight. It gleamed in shades of pink and black, with bat-shaped detailing on the hood and heart-shaped headlights. She gasped, her eyes sparkling like the stars above.

Draculaura held her books against her chest, her eyes dreamy as she described her vision of a perfect party to Clawdeen, Cleon, and Zeraphine. "So, that would be my dream party. I guess I need a reality check, right?" she asked, her voice tinged with wistfulness. She glanced at her friends, half-expecting them to laugh off her wish as a fantasy too far-fetched, but they looked shocked and caught off guard.
But instead, Cleon's face broke into a determined smile. "Absolutely not!" he said with unwavering confidence. "Your fantasy is our reality."
Clawdeen and Zeraphine exchanged wide-eyed glances, the challenge of turning Draculaura's dream into reality sparking a glimmer of excitement, mixed with a bit of panic. The hallways of Monster High hummed with their sudden anticipation, as they realized what they'd just committed to.
Cleon continued, his energy infectious as he met their gazes. "In fact, we're going to make it even better, aren't we?"
Clawdeen chuckled, nudging Zeraphine with a grin, while Zeraphine nodded with a small smile. They had no idea how they were going to pull this off, but with Draculaura beaming at them like that, it was hard to say no.
"You three are the best-est!" Draculaura said, her face lighting up as she hugged them. "Thank you!" With that, she skipped off down the hall, leaving the trio alone with the weight of their promise.
As Draculaura's footsteps faded, Clawdeen let out a low whistle. "So... now what? How in the scream-sphere are we going to pull this off?"
Zeraphine rubbed her eyes beneath her glasses, her mind already whirring with ideas and obstacles. "If we can even get half of what she wants done, we'll need to pull out every favour, every trick, and maybe even a bit of Cleon's smooth-talking to make it work."
Cleon laughed. "I'm always up for a challenge. Besides," he added, cracking his knuckles, "I think she deserves a night that even her wildest dreams couldn't conjure."
They stood there, plotting and scheming as the school buzzed around them. In that moment, they were bound together by the thrill of pulling off the impossible for a friend who deserved the world, and maybe, just maybe, they'd be able to make her dream party a realityโone incredible, unforgettable night at Monster High.
