Her head was spinning after she ordered an Uber back to the clinic. Her heart was racing like a rabbit on fire. How will she be able to look Dr. Min Jr. in the eyes? What must she do? Pretend she doesn't know him. She snorts slightly. Yeah, right. With those intense eyes, he'll even smell your perfume miles away.

She felt like crying when she sat with bated breath in the back of the Uber.

Her eyes darted to her amused driver, who furrowed his brows at your nervous demeanor. He could even sense her reluctance to go back and meet her demise.

Damn Old Doc Min. He was adamant in his belief that she and his grandson had something going on! What the heck would Dr. Kim Namjoon think—that it was the sole reason she constantly rejected his advances? Oh my goodness.

How will she reveal the truth, given the current frenzy in the rumor mill? She remembers a year ago a similar rumor made the rounds, also courtesy of the Gossip Girls of MinHyun. A young intern nurse was supposedly having an affair with a married resident dentist, and nobody believed her side.

The scrutiny and gossip were so bad that she left the clinic in tears, just to find out a few months later that she was his legal wife but was scared to reveal her as his wife because she feared backlash because she was a foreigner from Vietnam and the dentist was known to be married, but nobody knew it was the nurse. He helped her get the job, not stating that she was his legal wife, and it would've been a huge 'scandal.' Luckily, both of them left and found work in a hospital in Vietnam.

That is the only downside of this hugely prestigious clinic. Gossip can damage your reputation and career. For the three years they working here, her life was fairly private, and she loved it that way. She hates gossipers, and the squad knew she didn't take their rumors seriously.

Most nurses fear her due to her meticulous and focused approach to her job, which has earned her a reputation as a stuck-up perfectionist. However, now that these rumors have proven to be true, everyone is talking about them, as they pertain to her personal life.

There is a reason why she kept her life private. She cursed the day she set her eyes on the mesmerizing photo frame of Ajumma Eunji. No wonder the lady was so adamant that she would take it if she liked it. If she knew that 'Suga' was her nephew and family with her boss, she would have sprinted millions of miles away from this coming embarrassment.

She was quite fond of the wooden frame as well, and before she had the chance to replace it with her graduation picture with her dad, her friends encouraged her to do otherwise. By keeping the gossipers at bay, they fabricated a story that the guy in the frame was her boyfriend. All the girls who attended their housewarming were taken aback by the 'sexy' musician guy. They even give her props for landing such a hottie. She kept up the act for a year, and when she was tired of it, she simply informed the nurses who wanted to meet her boyfriend that they had broken up and that he damped her because of the long-distance relationship, which plainly did not work out.

Unfortunately, Rio has decided to impose his will on her. How will she weave herself out of this predicament?

When they reach the entrance of the landscaped garden, she feels her heart sink as she quickly thanks the driver, grabs her coat, and scurries up the stairs.
A few patients in wheelchairs are enjoying the landscaped garden with their relieved family members. An emergency ambulance stood by the ER entrance with an old, greying man on the gurney.

Sienna quickly rushed in and greeted the nurses and staff on your way to the elevator to the top floor.

She was alone in the elevator, looking frantically at her incoming notifications. Taja and Hyerin were frantic on their chat group.

Taja: Sisi, where are you?

Hyerin : We are already in the boardroom. My word, it is 'Suga,' and he is hotter than lava.

Oh great. It's confirmed.

Taja: Hey, he instantly recognized us as the wild girls in Rio.

Hyerin: But this version is scary. Especially when his granddad talked about you.

She quickly texted back, her breath labored, and she could feel her hair bangs become damp from her perspiration from her nervousness.

Taja: We are in the top floor boardroom, and Old Doc looks so smug. All the resident doctors are present, even the first- and second-year residents. We're just waiting for you and Dr. Jk.

Sienna: I'm in the elevator. On my way.

Hyerin: Dr. Min Jr. has your file in front of him. Girl, he definitely recognized you, and he looks fed up.

Taja: Just pretend you don't recognize him, but I'm not sure if it will work with this version. The lava version is now a frozen iced version.

Sienna: He's going to humiliate me in front of everyone. Or worse, not giving me a good evaluation. I'm doomed.

She felt her eyes well up with unshed tears. Why is this happening to her? Isn't her life already in ruins? The stress was gnawing at her insides, and she felt resigned.

When Sienna reached the opulent hallway of the executive suites, her fear increased , but with a deep inhalation of her breath, she lifted her chin, put a slight smile on her face, and prepped herself up that she could do anything and tough and difficult situations don't last

When she reached the glass enclosure, she could see the doctors all around the wooden table and white leather chairs. The executive boardroom was very luxurious w8th smooth wooden panels. Old Doc is seated at the furthest top of the table, and she could clearly see Dr. Min 'Suga' sitting on his left and Dr. Seokjin on his right. Aera's eyes were filled with admiration at the handsome new arrival. Even your cousin Hobi and Dr. Namjoon were present. Dr. Jimin and Taehyung were also seated. She felt her heart thumping erratically. Three other male residents in her year were also present. Her friends were seated with their backs facing the doors.

Sienna wiped her bangs behind her ears and opened the large glass door with trembling hands. She observed that she was the center of attention for everyone. Immediately everyone's attention was her. Then her gaze locked with the enigmatic Dr. Min Jr.'s calculating gaze, and time seemed to pause. It felt like all the sounds around them dulled.

It was as if something uspoken passed through them- so raw, magnetic and  dangerously familiar. A hint of surprise, recognition, and realization entered both of their eyes. Sienna's breath caught at his dark, impenetrable gaze behind the polished glasses for a fleeting second. His gaze conveyed a desire to revisit those memories, yet his jaw tightened upon realising they were under watchful eyes. Sienna's face was flustered as they both looked down behind their masks.

She noticed his eyes become devoid of emotion as his granddad cheerfully invited her to take a seat. With bated breath, she apologised quietly.

"I apologise for my lateness," Sienna remarked. Her voice sounded hesitant and apprehensive, and Hyerin smiled sweetly at her, but she could see worry in their eyes. They were more nervous than she, who appeared to be in control, but she was trembling within.

Young Dr. Min's eyes were fixed on her tense movements. His eyes were narrowed behind the black-rimmed glasses that enhance his entire persona with a touch of elegance.

"Welcome, dear, take your seat next to Dr. Jungkook", old doc smirked. "I just want to formally introduce all our specialist residents to my grandson, who will eventually take the clinic over in a few months. All of you meet Dr. Min Yoongi. He was a world-traveling doctor in a few continents where he was working with a team of doctors with the Doctors Without Borders project. He just completed three years in a public hospital in Sao Paulo as a neurologist..." Old Doc was adding more of his grandson's accolades with pride.

Although Dr. Min sat there with an unbothered smirk, she was keenly aware of his eyes darting towards her. She made sure she kept her eyes on Old Doc's amused eyes.

Old Doc's eyes were discreetly gazing between her and his grandson, who were seated with cold eyes. Taja and Hyerin sat with pursed lips, looking discreetly at each other, already feeling sorry for her.

The old doc introduced each resident and their field of study. Then he concluded with her, pride evident in his voice.

"...and finally the last of our third year of residency is Dr. Hong Sienna, specializing in cardiology. Brilliant and focused..." he added.

Sienna just nodded with a half smile, but didn't show any emotion. Aera just rolled her eyes.

Dr. Kim Namjoon sat backwards, watching Sienna and his friend Dr. Min Jr.'s unspoken interaction. He sensed a tiny tension between the two doctors. It seems that Sienna and Yoongi share a history, based on the rumours that have come to his attention recently. He will be honest and acknowledge that the news did indeed bother him.

He has already developed a deep affection for the eccentric red-haired doctor. But now, the enigmatic and mysterious newcomer to his friendship circle has returned. He knew how popular his stoic friend was in university and how much girls adored him, and now he had to discover that Yoongi and his 'object of affection' were in a relationship. When did this happen?

The last time he heard was the messy breakup of Yoongi and his uni sweetheart Kara. He thought Yoongi couldn't get over Kara.

Sienna sat calmly and listened attentively as Old Doc informed everyone about the start of the evaluations and when the permanent employment candidates would be revealed.

At that moment, the stage was graced with the presence of Doctor Min Yoongi, who was invited to share his thoughts. Gone was that sexy mess of long hair, his leather clothing was exchanged for a black stylish ensemble. His husky voice sent chills down her spine. Sienna had no idea what to do with herself. His enigmatic presence made her feel a bit uneasy. Her mind  was reeling with their fateful encounter in Rio and their desire to be with each other later that evening, took center stage. Her body immediately started to react at those passionate memories.

Her hands were trembling so severely that she had to place them under the table on her lap. She could sense Namjoon's eyes on her pale face as Dr. Min Jr. kept glancing back at her, eyes filled with scrutiny and questions. Aera just scowled, when she notice the new doctors interest ,because again Sienna's fiery beauty took center stage. Sienna was gorgeous and those expressive hazelgreen eyes, natural red hair and those adorable freckles spashed across her rosy cheeks made every one take a second look at her. Even the new doctor succumbed to her allure. Most of the clinic staff believed they might have had a relationship. A new kdrama is running here at MinHyun.

Doctor Min sat back, leaning back in his chair, his lips in a lopsided smirk as his intense gaze flew over the resident doctors. "...please be advised that the evaluation will be tough. A few medical professors from different universities and final-year students will be present as you perform the surgery."

He raised his dark eyebrow and gestured to the senior doctors," Dr. Kim Seokjin, Dr. Kim Namjoon, and Dr. Jung Hoseok will be the assisting doctors evaluating from within the theater. So be mentally ready for the brutal evaluation. MinHyun will only employ the most skillful and knowledgeable resident as part of our specialist staff..."

Additionally, he stated that there would be no favouritism. It will be purely based on merit. Aera and three of the other male doctors gave her a subtle glance, and Sienna furrowed her brows in response.

What the hell! It was not nepotism that brought her to MinHyun. Hobi only recommended her, and she proved her value and abilities on her own. She was considered the best surgeon in terms of diagnosis and expertise.
in uni and here. Why would she be given preference?

She raised her eyebrows in annoyance, and his chilly gaze darted towards her.

Old Doc sat with a satisfied smirk on his lips as his eyes watched his grandson, whose eyes were expressionless, but he could see the underlying emotion in his intense eyes. He knew that these two youngsters knew each other based at their tense stares.

More important details are discussed, and the senior doctors also gave their input and how excited they are for the resident doctors to finally be part of their permanent team.

Old Doc then stood up. "Thank you, doctors, and good luck on the coming appraisals..."

The residents all jumped up with relief and visible apprehension for the coming appraisals. The resident doctors were in awe of the calm and collected new neurologist, and they couldn't wait to meet him personally.

Sienna and her friends eyed each other discreetly and were just about to head out when she heard her name called. She was just aiming for the welcoming exit doors. She winced visibly as Taja and Hyerin looked at her with regret.

"Dr. Hong...can I have a moment!" She heard a deep voice behind her, and before she could turn around, she felt her elbow in a tight grasp and was led out the glass door amid the wide eyes of the present doctors.

Sienna looked up, terrified, at Dr. Min Jr., who was pulling her out. His jaws were clenched, and she knew nothing good would come from this doctor.

She swiftly turned her face and mumbled something at her friends, who stood there with their jaws dropped. "Help me!!" But her little legs were doing their best to keep up with Yoongi's long strides as they raced towards his private office, looking like a cartoon character trying to catch a speeding train.

Behind them, they could hear the doctors snickering. Dr. Hobi was concerned about the two of them; Dr. Kim Namjoon's eyes were calculating, and the other senior doctors were chuckling.

Old Doc grinned, "All right, young doctors, let us disembark. Our patients are waiting...please give my grandson and his 'girlfriend' some time to reacquaint themselves..." He pats Dr. Seokjin on the back, and they all exit via the double glass doors, leaving Taja, Hyerin, and Aera behind.

Aera snorted, folding her arms. "So, Little Miss Perfect has some skeletons in her closet! Hmm...interesting," she shook her head, jealousy clear in her tone as she walked out the door.

Taja and Hyerin gazed at each other. "Oh my! It looked like Dr. Min Jr. was less than thrilled to bump into his one-night stands at his granddad's clinic... talk about awkward family reunions!"

Hyerin clicked her tongue." MinHyun Clinic has just gotten a lot more fascinating. Poor Sienna...she will have lots to explain too."
