Chapter 31
Skye's POV
My sluggish self detested getting out of bed in the morning. It makes me hate it ten times more now that I feel my hangover.
Groaning, I stretched out my arms and got out of bed to wash up.
When I saw my reflection in the mirror, yikes.
What died in my hair?
Washing up isn't enough to get rid of this. I need a full-body shower. And also get rid of this headache.
I can't get rid of this just by washing up. A full-body shower is highly necessary, even though I just want to lay in my bed all day. Hopefully, this can help get rid of my headache as well.
Note to self, I have low alcohol tolerance. I didn't even manage to finish the bottle and here I am.
Dizzy and feeling like crap.
What a nice way to start the day.
Jimin did me a favor by taking the bottle away last night.
Wait a sec.
Jimin
Jimin?
Holy shit.
I just remembered. Jimin and I kissed last night but before that, I also kissed Jungkook.
Never in my life did I imagine myself to be that wild. I know it was a dare, but for some reason, I don't feel bad about kissing both of them.
Geez... why am I feeling like this?
I had no idea it was possible to like two people at once. I need to discuss this with someone.
Normally, I would talk to Jimin whenever I was puzzled or worried about something, but now that he's involved, it doesn't really help my situation.
Maybe I can talk to my brother and hear his advice?
Yup, that's what I'll do.
After my shower, I can feel my headache slowly disappearing.
Thank god.
I tied my hair up in a messy bun and then wore a simple white tee and denim shorts.
"Joonie?" I called out from the living room.
"In here," he yelled back from the kitchen. He was eating breakfast with Jin.
Our cousin gestured to me to eat with them, pulling out the chair for me.
Jin handed me a plate of fried egg and bacon on the side. He explained that since Namjoon is accustomed to eating this type of dish, he wanted to prepare it for all of us to enjoy.
I happily scarfed down the delicious food and asked my brother if we could talk afterward.
"I'll do the dishes while you two siblings catch up," Jin uttered.
My brother asked me to follow him to the living room and wait for him there while he went to get something.
While I waited, I texted Yen to see whether she had arrived home safely last night. She responded quickly with a yes and asked if she can come over, most likely because she has a crush on my cousin. She makes googly eyes at him every time she sees him.
Then, my brother returned holding something behind his back.
"Close your eyes," he exclaimed excitedly.
I obliged and after a few seconds, he lifted my wrist and I felt a cold metal around it.
When I opened my eyes, I saw the most beautiful silver bracelet crusted with little diamonds in the center.
"It's so beautiful. Thank you so much, Joonie!" I hugged him tight like how a koala hugs a tree.
He chuckled and hugged me back while patting my head.
When his phone rang, he pulled away slowly from our hug to answer his phone. With my eagle eyes, I saw Iseul's name on the caller ID.
Why am I not surprised?
She always has a way to interrupt somehow.
"Skye, I'm sorry, I have to go to Iseul's. She said she had an emergency. Maybe we can talk later when I get back, okay?"
He kissed the top of my head and quickly left.
Great.
Now what?
I slumped myself on the couch and texted Yen again, telling her to come over quickly.
I included code red at the end of the text.
It's code for: problem, need your help.
After twenty minutes, I heard a knock on our door.
Finally!
When I opened it, my eyes went directly to a big purple bruise around her neck.
"What is that?" I exclaimed as I examined it closely. "Is that a hickey?"
"N-no. You see, I fell down last night," Yen denied.
"Oh yeah? On someone's lips?" I smirked.
She remained silent for a few seconds before denying it once more. She kept avoiding eye contact with me and claiming she was only a klutz and nothing more.
"So you're saying that huge purple bruise on your neck wasn't caused by a person?"
"Nope."
"Seriously?"
She nodded.
It looks like she's not gonna crack.
"But if it was caused by a person, does his name perhaps rhyme with Baehyung?" I teased further.
Good one, Skye.
Laughing at myself, it looked like I made her tongue-tied, but my laughter was cut short by her scowl.
"Can we just talk about your problem now? Isn't that the reason why I'm here?"
"Fine," sighing, I took her wrist and pulled her inside.
I informed her of my problem while she remained silent, attentively listening to me.
"How did this happen? I have no idea what to do! If only that leech hadn't interrupted my conversation with my brother, I might have a clue."
"Skye, if your brother found out you have two guys after you, he wouldn't be happy at all," she said.
She's probably right.
"So, now what?" I asked, defeated.
Silence.
Yen opened her mouth to say something but stopped.
After a few minutes of silence, she looked at me with excitement.
"This might sound crazy, but I got an idea!" she yelled.
I urged her to continue.
"What if you date both of them and see who you like more?"
Heh?
Date both of them?
"No way."
"Why not? It's just a date. I didn't say you should be with them both. You already went out on a date with Jungkook, right?"
I nodded.
"See? All you have to do now is go on a date with Jimin and find out whether you think you have more sparks with him or feel more romantic shit like that."
She stated it as if it were the simplest thing in the world.
"I don't know... and I'm not even sure if Jimin likes me like that," I whispered, feeling insecure all of a sudden.
"Girl, trust me. He fucking likes you! He wouldn't stick his tongue down your throat and caress your cheeks like it was the most precious thing in the world last night."
My cheeks immediately blushed as I remembered what transpired last night.
It's still hard for me to believe it happened.
First, kissing Jungkook. After that, Jimin, my best friend.
"So, what do you say?" she asked.
"I'll think about it."
