" am i really that weird? "
ᯓ📼ˎˊ˗ "IS THAI FOOD FINE WITH EVERYONE?" Bang Chan yelled around half an hour after the live was over. The idols were getting a lunch break before they were going to film another long-form video for YouTube.
He received different forms of approval from all of the idols and then passed everyone his phone to order takeout.
He wasn't very picky with food, as long as it wasn't very spicy. We all know the consequences of that. And to be truthful, he chose it because he knew it was her favorite.
So of course he was surprised when he noticed that she only had a few bites of one of the appetizers the group ordered. But he didn't say anything, because it wasn't his place to say it. Not anymore, at least.
"Okay, you guys ready to film?" the manager announced after the food was mostly finished.
Saewon looked around before nodding. "Yeah I think so."
"Okay, great!" the manager said as he gave a mini whiteboard and marker to Saewon. "We are going to have each person ask two to three questions about themselves and the rest of the idols will guess the answer. And Saewon, you're going to start," he said as he motioned to the whiteboard in her hands. "After you ask the question, you will write down the correct answer on the whiteboard. Don't show it until everyone has guessed." Saewon nodded.
"Okay, and we're rolling in 3, 2, 1... action!"
"Hi STAY and LYRIC, we are LYRI," the 8 girls said, "and we are Stray Kids," the other eight boys added. "And today we will be seeing how well we know each other!"
"I'll go first!" Saewon declared as she sat separately from everyone else. "My first question is... how many years did I spend as a trainee?" She asked before scribbling down her answer on the whiteboard.
"It's a trick question! You were never a trainee," Dahye exclaimed.
"Yeah, you were somehow chosen magically to lead our group even though I never saw you as a trainee before," Janghee nodded.
"Wait, wait, weren't you a trainee at some other company before though?" Yeona quizzed and Han almost jumped out of the loveseat he was sharing with Yeona. "Oh yeah! I think I saw you on a survival show somewhere before your debut with LYRI, no?"
"And KQ wouldn't choose someone without training or experience to lead a group," Chaemin added on.
Saewon just shrugged and the guys started shouting out random amounts of time.
"3 months," Changbin shrugged. "27 weeks, 3 days, and fifteen minutes," Hyunjin guessed, the confidence oozing out of him as though he knew her in and out, and Saewon sent him a side eye.
"Seven years," Chan said, with a little too much certainty in his voice than usual. "I think! I'm not sure," he added hastily when some of his friends sent confused looks his way, surprised at his sureness.
"Eight years," Minho speculated with a shrug. "From your performances, I can see you are strong in all aspects, and it's impossible to just be born with so much talent."
As all of the idols finally said their guesses, Saewon revealed her answer. "It's seven and a half years," she announced and all of her friends groaned. "So I guess both Minho and Chan are correct."
"How were we supposed to know that? I feel like I never saw you as a trainee at KQ though," Namra pondered.
"That's because I wasn't a trainee at KQ," Saewon answered. "I was a trainee at another company before I was invited to the survival show for LYRI at KQ."
"Ooooh," Minji realized. "That makes a whole lot of sense."
"Okay, second question. What is my weirdest fear?" Sae read off of the screen behind the camera. "Huh? That's such a strange question. But give it your best shot guys," she said as she spun around on her chair to face the other idols, who all had confusion etched on their faces.
"Lamps," Minho guessed.
"What? That's... definitely not a fear," Soomi laughed. "Reptiles is my guess."
"Getting sick," Chan murmured absentmindedly, quiet enough for none of the idols to notice, but the camera was still able to pick it up.
"Spiders?" Felix said as his guess.
"What? That's a very valid fear, I don't think it's weird," Jeongin replied, confused. "Tape is a weird fear."
The girls also threw out their assumptions. "Meeting new people." "Having to socialise." "Winking." "Hiccuping." The guesses got weirder with each time, and Saewon couldn't contain her laughter.
"Am I really that weird?" she wheezed and everyone around her nodded. She pretended to act extremely offended, but her giggles still showed through. "Anyways, the answer is probably getting sick. Not like fatal chronic disease, but like a common cold. They give me the eughs," she shuddered.
"I don't think anyone got the answer though..." Namra said as she looked around.
"Uhm actually, we are reviewing the footage and Bang Chan did," one of the guys behind the camera corrected. Saewon turned to the mentioned guy and her smile dropped, eyes widened in surprise. What the hell?
"What?" Chris looked up from fidgeting with his hands. "Oh, I guess I just said the first thing that came to mind," he laughed awkwardly. Fuck fuck fuck.
Noticing the awkwardness and confusion in the room, Sae turned to the camera, plastering the biggest fake smile she could muster. "So I guess Chan is two for two, while Minho is in second place with one point! Who wants to go next?" she turned to the other idols.
"I guess it's my turn then," Bang Chan said as he grabbed the whiteboard and marker from Saewon and they switched spots.
