classically, even roon herself has difficulty sifting through herself enough to find a distinction.
she has no pattern and acts based on what benefits her. roon can manipulate situations, people, events, for personal gain.
this could be described as self-centrism but her sense of self is extremely skewed. underneath the collected intellect, the snide remarks, the confident presence, there is mania.
controlling her own impulsivity and temperament is a feat in itself due to her habit of switching quickly from one mood to another with seemingly no warning.
with an alluring aura and a thirst for the wild, it is easy to find yourself infatuated with her.
she also has a fascination for terrifying people.
any form of genuine emotional expression is buried deep inside her and drives her mad when it rises out of the ashes. if she feels herself getting too close to.
her underlying traits are contradictory because they are both self-serving and self-destructive.

𝓵𝓲𝓴𝓮𝓼
hallucinogens/drugs/mood changers; any she can get her hands on, she will take. she cultivates her own drugs or buys it off someone else. this includes forms of crystal, herb, and serum. ex:

dressing up; in fancy clothing and shifting skins. this is a way for her to control how she presents herself. since she often has difficulty controlling her actions, at least she can look however she wants.
parties; the crazier the better. the goal is forget she is sentient.
alcohol; getting absolutely hammered and passing out is a so normal it's almost boring but she's the girl to go to for a killer hangover remedy
dare devil activities; jumping off things, taking too many drug, picking fights, anyway she can gamble her life away

𝓭𝓲𝓼𝓵𝓲𝓴𝓮𝓼
shapeshifting; the deeper the lies go, the harder it is to decipher it from reality, and she hates reality
silence; it gives her an itchy and irritated feeling
stillness; something has to be happening at all times and if nothing is, she makes it happen
the hallucinations; and nightmares due to the nasty combination of drug, alcohol and shifting
being alone; however, she often is
vampires; she was taught that they were the enemy

her two fathers, the rulers of the shifter district, artificially inseminated one their sperm into a whom chosen by them. roon lived there for a few months then was vacated and brought to her fathers. they loved her but had little time for her and pawned her off into the care of someone they hired like nanny/teacher/guide.
the person never had the same face or used the same name but she knew when it was them when she saw them. once she was 14 she was virtually on her own and they were unemployed as her mentor. with no guidance from her mentor or fathers, she spiraled into self-destruction. got mixed in a group, some might call it a cult, and went under the alias "helix." this was when she lost most of her personality. she was shifting all the time to avoid people recognizing as her as royalty to the point of physical pain. after that, shifting became a drug. and then she started using actual drugs as a substitute or to distract her but she was already too far gone.
the group went up in flames, literally, but her taste for crazy never left. she went to parties, drank, threw her body through anything that would make her adrenaline spike. all while being groomed to bare the weight of the crown one day.
her fathers pay little attention to her and so everyday she pushes the bar to get them to. her reputation as royalty became tainted with gossip of her insanity. however her fathers care little about this.
