Nandini:
Do listen to dil se dil tak from bawal till Nandini's POV
"Everything packed madam?" My husband shouted from our room, and I was down, here looking after last minute checking.
"Ji baba." I shouted back, ruffling through the number of bags. Two suitcase, my hand bag and one tote bag. Done. I sighed before looking up, around this one place.
Forks, our house. I blinked my eyes to push away those pearls, but I was unsuccessful. Our moments, which I've only read in books, saw in television movies. I lived those moments here. With him. This place, Forks. Manik.
I gasped when a hand out of nowhere embraced me from behind and nudged me slowly, "What are you think my madame?"
I smiled, before tightening my hold and leaning myself on him, "Din kitne jaldi bit gaye na." [Days passed so quickly na.]
"Hmm. But not even a single day I'm regretting." He mumbled and I smiled wide.
"So, back to normal lives?"
I felt him nodding slowly and spoke, "I can't wait for it."
"Me neither." He chose not to reply and turn me towards him, holding my hand in his. I looked up at him, and he bore into me.
He stepped forward and palmed my cheek before caressing it slowly. "I want to leave a memory here, Nandini. Will you allow me to?" My heartbeat rose abruptly, recognizing the meaning behind those words.
I gently stepped forward, and tip toed on his foot. My eyes shut as his hand caressed my waist and other, that was leaning on my cheek. I felt shiver running down my spines as I felt his breath fanning over me. I gasped inaudibly, clutching his tee and just when, his lips gently brushed mine.
"Hmm." A nonchalant moan escaped as he slowly captured my lower lip. His hold on my waist tightened to prevent me from collapsing right away. A tender spark was ignited that surged through our souls.
I release a shaky breath, and I find myself melting under his touch. I parted my lips, and he swirled his tongue around. The kiss deepened, and I encircled my hands around his neck to pull him closer.
He mirrored my actions, and leaned forward to intense the touch. I jump on my place as he slowly bit my lower lip, before sucking it to sooth the pain. I smiled amidst the touch, and caught hold of his upper lip, before pressing it against my teeth.
I shivered as I heard him releasing a groan, while I sucked it to sooth the pain. My hold tightened as he captured both of my petals and gave it a suck. I shivered endlessly before the intensity came out, and our breath rose heavily ones we parted ways. He rested his forehead on mine, and we both breathing insanely heavily.
My eyes slowly opened, to look up and meet his. His hand never left my cheeks. He caressed it, ever so softly. "This is a good goodbye." I whined and dashed myself into the crook of his neck. My cheeks heated up and skin burned in fire. It was, insane. "Mere se, mere me hi chup rahi hain madam?" I shook my head, still in his crook, before wrapping my hands around his waist and resting myself there. [You're hiding in me, from me?]
He placed his chin on my head, and wrapped his hands around my back to reciprocate my hug. No words were exchanged for a few minutes. It was peaceful. Bidding bye to the budding stage and entering into a blossomed married life, where things are going to be different.
I want it to be more than what we are. A connection that connects everything around us into one thread. A door that leads to the same path and destination, unbothered about the rocks in between.
The willing efforts the we put into to lead a life ahead. I want our marriage to be about us, not just a grand event. It its love, I don't want to lose sight of why we're doing this. I want our love to be at the center of everything, not the wedding. Not just Forks. Beyond what it is.
Now when we depart this country, and I look down from the sky at the world, I take back a huge suitcase of n number of memories. A hand reached mine and entwined ever so softly, and a smile touched my lips before leaning on that on shoulder.
I looked at the man beside, who placed a chaste kiss on my head before I snuggled into him, "To a huge life ahead."
Amen

Manik:
"Nandini baba, I've checked everything." I said, yet for another time as I saw her counting the luggage for the nth time. We were standing beside the car, on Mumbai Airport and my beloved was checking for the count of the bags. I've lost the count for how many times.
"How Manik, there was suppose to be a tote bag too." She said, panicking.
"You're having it baby." I said calmly, and saw her stiffening. She hesitantly looked at the bag she was carrying and passed me a nervous smile. I sighed and stepped forward, before holding her hand and pulling her closer.
"Kya hua?" [What happened?]
She blinked her eyes, before her lower lips pulled out slowly, "Shadi ke baad wala nervousness ho raha." [I'm nervous, just like I was after marriage.]
I smiled, and gestured the driver to keep the bags in the car before turning towards my wife, "Nobody will eat you there. Dekhna, mere se zyada they'll be waiting for you." [You wait and see. They'll be eager to meet you, than to me.]
"Kuch bhi." She murmured and I shook my head indicating that I'm serious.
"Chale?" She nodded. I took tote bag from her as she was already carrying her own bag and kept it in dikki. She held the door open for me. I climbed into the car followed by her.
Even though my heart won't admit, I was indeed nervous. I realized that probably the real story of our marriage starts now. The entire journey to the Mansion was silent, a comfortable silence.
As the car skidded along the friction, we got down the car and helped the driver with the luggage. As the house help came forward to help, my wife slid her hand across mine and we made a move towards the house. And as expected, before we could enter, I was engulfed by a huge person. Unplanned boy. I chuckled and hugged him back, and side eyed my mom who embraced my wife.
"Tu hatt." I said, gently pushing him away and moving towards my maata shree. "How are you mother India." She smiled and hugged me, while Nandini moved inside, giving us our space. As usual. [You go.]
"Chal andar aa." She held my hand and pulled me in. God, the smell of my house. I sighed in contentment as the smell of my house reached my nostrils. I'm back to my place.
"Feeling home, Mr. Malhotra?" I heard my wife whispering beside me. I passed her a beautiful nod, and received a heart warming smile.
"Humse bhi mille Tillu." A foreign voice completely took my attention. My eyes widened at the sight. [Meet us also, Tillu.]
"Dadi?" I blinked my eyes to make sure it was her.
"Manik." My mom smacked my arms to pull me out of my thoughts. I nodded, before stepping forward and bending to touch her feet, along with Nandini. "Namaste." She said, while my Dadi blessed us.
"She's Nandini, Dadi." I introduced, while Dadi nodded, smiling slowly.
"Pata hai. Iske aane se pehele hi bohot kuch pata hai iske bare me." I smiled. "Bohot sonhi kudi laya hai." [I know. I've listened a lot about her even before she came here. You have a very beautiful wife.]
"Woh toh hai." I winked at my wife, who widened her eyes and nudged me slowly. [That is true.]
"Hi Manik." This time I face palmed.
"Tina." I laughed nervously, before shaking my hands with her. Basically, she's my Dadi's far cousin's daughter's nephew.
Difficult to understand nah?
Mujhe bhi 25 saal lag gaye yaad rakhne mein.
Hifi
"Nandini, Manik. Beta freshen up and have some rest." My mom said.
"Tune, mujhe room tak chod ke aa zara." And with that, Dadi moved towards her room, leaving four of us alone.
"Anu, tu mere saath aa." My mom asked Anurag. [Anu, you come with me.]
"Kaha Maa." Not Anu, but I asked [Where Maa?]
"Chugal khor aunty. Ja na." Anurag poked, while I glared him. [Poky aunty, go no.]
"Unplanned one, shut up."
"Manik." My wife's voice immediately came out and I looked at her with those scrutinized eyes.
"Aap issi ka side lo." I huffed. [You take his side only.]
"Of course. Meri bhabhi hai." He grinned, before side hugging Nandini and hifi-ing with her.
Great.
I glared him and pulled my wife towards me. "Biwi hai meri. Gale lagane ke liye khud ki dhund tu." [She's my wife. Find yours to hug.]
"Chup kar jao dono. Sach me beda garg ho mera. Kitna jhagdte ho kutto ki tarah." My mom angrily said, leaving us sulking and my wife laughing her guts out. Wait till we get into our room Mrs. Manik.
[Shut up both of you. You both fight like dogs, seriously.] I don't know the translation of beda garg๐ญ
[He is going to Murthy house, to get and deliver some things from and for Shweta ji. Ho gayi panchayat?" I bobbed, making her glare at me. I giggled, and she shook her head laughing slowly. Maa left, followed by unplanned one.
Finally
Now I tuned towards my wife who was looking at all thus with a cute smile.
Her attention diverted towards me, feeling my gaze over her. I raised my eyebrows, before stepping towards her. She evidently took a step back. "Bohot hasi aa rahi hai aapko? Ha?"
"Ha?" Came out her immediate response. I came another step forward, and taking the cue, she shrieked and ran on her toes. "Nandini." I called out, running behind her. She fastened her speed and reached our room.
How did she get so energetic suddenly?
I followed her to our room, to find...no one? I frowned looking here and there, just when a hand wrapped my eyes.
"How did you manage to reach my height?" I chuckled and almost felt her frowning.
"Manik." She whined, slapping my shoulders from behind. I turned towards her, to find her standing on the bed, with that small pout. I grinned and wrapped my hand around her petite waist, to pull her closer. Her face was closer to mine and her legs loosened up to my hold. I leaned forward slowly and pecked her pouted lips. "I'll eat you up one day. Sachi mein." I murmured slowly. She giggled and I sighed at the sound of it.
Yeh jaan legi meri
I picked her up from her waist and placed her on the ground before asking, "Amma se baat hui?"
[Did you talk to amma?]
"Ha. I talked to Mannat too. And you know what, her book is all set to be published. It'll be done next week." She broke news to he excitedly and I smiled at her, before something struck me.
"What was the name of publishing house again?"
"Hachette publishing house." I fell silent, calculating something else in my mind. "All okay?" Her concerned voice came out, and I nodded.
"Yeah. Freshen up nah, I'll use the guest room." I said, and she nodded before making a move inside the bathroom. "The towel in there isn't soft. Use the one in our bag. Rashes aa jayenge warna." I shouted from out and received an 'okay'.
My thoughts were still lingering over a point.
I'm not sure
But if that is
I need to ask Anurag something
End:
Anurag:
"Ha baba." I sighed, as my mom continued to give me n number of instructions.
"Get things properly Anu. Those are very important." She said again and I nodded. I shook my head before stepping forward and pressing a kiss on her forehead and murmuring a bye.
I drove away in my car towards the Murthy house after placing every single thing in the backseat. It felt weird because something in me signaled that, something isn't right. It's the same feeling I had, an year ago. Before I came across her. I gulped down a good amount of saliva before slowly caressing my heart above my chest to calm it down.
I don't have to be scared. Things are falling into its places. Office is fine. Bhai bhabhi are happy. Mumma dad is healthiest. Mannat. I do not need anything else. I muttered to myself and calmly took deep breath.
My car halted in front of Murthy house. I stepped down, and there were few house help that helped me get down the stuffs mom sent. It was already seven evening. I picked some along with another special parcel, followed by house helps. We entered the Murthy house to be welcomed by the sweetest lady herself.
"Areh Anurag, araam se." Uncle came forward to help me, but I denied softly and kept the things down slowly.
"Namaste." I joined my hands for the same, and they greeted me back.
"Kaise ho beta?" Uncle asked, folding his newspaper and keeping it aside.
"I'm fine uncle. Aap dono kaise ho?"
Aunty came back with a glass of water and passed it to me. "No formalities aunty." I softly said. "Maa ne kuch samaan lane kahe the?"
"Ha ek minute. Mannu." She raised her voice to call her out, and in a minute, there she was. My gaze met hers, and found a sweet smile taking over our lips. "Give him those stuffs nah." She nodded at aunty's instructions. I followed her lead, and entered into her room, that had several things. A bed, with soft fur carpet all over. Study table with her accessories all over and walls decorated with her's and bhabhi's pictures.
"No wonder it's your room. Look how haphazard it is." I commented, looking at the crumbled bedsheets and study table messed with some, jewelleries and accessories.
I chuckled as she hit my arms slowly, "Shut up jerk." Her eyes fell on the parcel in my hand and then at me, questioning.
"Uh, this is for you. Mere Jane ke baad kholna." I said, passing her the parcel.
"Bomb hai?"
I winced. "Shit, you came to know?"
"No wonder, you hate me." She giggled.
"Surely." I lied, chuckling. She moved towards the table to keep the parcel. She turned towards the bed to pass me stuffs, which resulted some of her accessories to fall down.
"Mannat." I called her out at it. "Rehene do Anu." She waved her hands off and got back to sorting out the things.
I shook my head at her tactics and bent down to pick up the fallen accessories.
Neck piece
Some band
Bracelets
Anklets
Earring
More earrings.
God, she can open a store. I chuckled at my thought before placing all the collected things on the table. Before I could get up, another piece behind the chair caught my eyes.
I stretched my hands to reach for it, but was unable to. I knelt down and pushed myself further some more.
Yeah
Got it
I pulled it out and looked at it with those triumphed eyes before standing to keep it on the table. But for some reasons, my movements halted.
I looked at the piece in my hand, that was wrapped in a small plastic zipper and my movements halted. Memories rushed through me, at the sight of a familiar piece of earring.
Her earrings
My breath heaved, as my hands reached to my pocket and pulled out my phone. I blinked my eyes to push away those visions and scrolled through the gallery. My shoulders dropped as I found it similar.
Exactly similar
Those were hers.
Mannat's.
She knew it
All this while
No, this cannot be..
"Anu, keep these things different okay, color lag jayega." Words bounced over my head, and my consciousness pondered over the new discovered fact. "Anu, sun na." I exhaled, and turned towards her. Her eyes met mine, and immediately lost all its smile seeing what I held.
I swallowed down my saliva, and held up the packet. "Is this yours?" I managed to ask. Her eyes shifted and again found its way to mine.
"Anu.."
I showed her my palm to stop her from taking any step towards me. "Ha ya na Mannat?"
I saw a flicker in her eyes. "Mannat?"
I licked my dry lips and sighed, "Yes or no. Answer me."
She exhaled shakily, and gaze moved down.
"Yes."
I stepped back, unwilling to believe everything that happened in the span of last few minutes. I couldn't utter a word other than,
"Why?"
Lump in my throat betrayed my body, and for the first time in front of her, my eyes chose not to show up those pearls. Nevertheless, her eyes shone brighter, with tears shining and lips betraying to convey what's needed.
"I.." She started, but halted.
I wished, prayed and desperately wanted her to explain me. To shut down every doubt arising. But her lips, they quivered. As if, having a lot to explain, but words are failing.
"Bol do Mannat. Bhagwan ke liye. Please."
I exhaled shakily, whispering those words. "You knew all this while. Haina?" She closed her eyes, and sniffed slowly, words still failing to come out of her lips.
She nodded.
"You chose to hide it, haina?"
She again nodded.
"You were the girl I was talking about. You knew it, haina?"
Another nod.
I breath in and stepped forward to harshly cupped her nape to make her face me. Our heavy breath were falling on each other. Another hand cupped her cheek, my eyes spitting fire, "Kyu?" I breath out raging. Hurt.
She sobbed, shutting her eyes and nodding in no slowly. My consciousness fought to understand her, but the pain in me was many folds bigger to accept anything else.
My hold on her loosened. Her eyes opened, and looked up to me. I dropped my hands to my side and stepped back. Running my palms across my face and hair to wipe off all of the tears and sweat. I saw her breathing heavily and stepping forward, "Anu." But this time, I held her hand slowly and placed the packet on her palms.
The next moment, my other hand was in my pocket, pulling out the other pair I always have with me and placed it on her hand. A drop of tear immediately fell on my hand, as it touched hers. Her eyes never left mine, and mine did not find courage to look up at her and break down.
"Aapki amanat. Mere paas rahegayi thi. Maafi."
She stepped forward. Her eyes depicted that fear.
"Anu.."
I bent forward to pick up the things I came here for, and left the room without any word.
"Anu..."
And that word from her sounded so foreign.
Yet again, I was unfamiliar with a so much familiar feeling.
***
"Kuch hua hai Anu." I flinched a bit, on hearing a voice from the door of my room. Manik. He walked upto me, to the balcony where I was standing, and stood beside me.
I chuckled, "Nope, nada." Another lie in a row.
He sighed beside me and looked up to me, "Matter of heart?"
Heart and soul. I wanted to yell, but something pulled me back. What was it, I'm unaware. The feeling towards her, or the indescribable pain in me.
"Hmm." He hummed beside me.
"When things are going perfect, why something has to just come up and spoil everything?"
He chuckled and nodded, "So I was right." I did not answer but continued to look out. "Par pyar agar samajh me aa jata, toh yeh zimmedari dil ke paas kyu hoti?"
[But if love was something to be understood, then why would this responsibility be given to a heart?]
I nodded, "It's not love."
"That is why it's hurting you?" I fell silent. It was burning inside. I wanted to understand her, listen her, tell her. But somewhere, I wasn't ready. And that moment, when I saw her.
I couldn't find my Minion. I was unable to distinguish between that girl I met an year ago, or the girl who helped me to move on from the girl I never met?
"This too shall pass Anu." I nodded before speaking, "Not easily this time."
"Time baba. Most patient and beautiful thing."
End:
Mannat:
My knees gave up and I collapsed on the floor at the sight of him walking away with those tears in his eyes and pain in his heart. The thing I feared the most, it came true today. He came to know. And I couldn't explain why.
He would've wanted to understand
And this author, who has her way with words, went silent in front of him. My gaze dropped to the packet of earrings in my hand. Something dropped on my palm.
Tears
I blankly touched my face, to realize that I was crying. Those earrings in front of me. I clutched them closer and sobbed bad. I did it. It is all because of me.
I found myself alone in her room, tears streaming down my cheeks as I cried for that boy. It wasn't just a few tears; it was an outpouring of emotions that had been building within me for far too long.
My heart ached with the weight of unspoken feelings, I had for him, but couldn't bring myself to express. Every memory of our time together, every stolen glance and shared laughter, played like a bittersweet symphony in my mind.
I cried
Not only for the feeling she felt but also for the fear of losing him, for the uncertainty of what will come ahead. The thought of a world where he might not be a part of my life was unbearable.
I felt my tears were a testament to the depth of my emotions, a silent plea to the universe to somehow make him understand the situation she is in.
I exhaled shakily, before getting up slowly. My gaze fell upon the parcel he left. I took seady steps towards the table and lifted the parcel to open it.
A book
"๐ฉ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐๐"
๐ฉ๐ ๐ด๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ด๐๐๐๐๐
Along with a note which spoke;

And a rose
I shook my head vigorously and picked up my phone. With a tinge hope, I dialed his number only to shatter it down brutally. I wiped my tears slowly, and moved to keep the parcel safely in my cupboard. I glanced at the parcel, and then at the earrings in my hand.
You came for me Mr. Malhotra, when I was at worst.
And now, you'll know what way Mannat Murthy has with her words and actions.
I'm talk, apologize, and understand.
Be ready, Mr. Malhotra

"I know. But ab I will have to solve this thing no." I whined.
"Ha toh you do it. I'm going to sleep. Good night." He yawned, and moved away.
