Nandini:
"Then let me show you what heaven looks like."
I gasped breathlessly as his hand grasped my garment, and the next second, I knew it was thrown away carelessly in some dark corners. But at this moment, neither of us cared about it. My back arched as he leaned forward, digging himself in my neck.
"Ah..."
My nerves exploded as his bare chest came in contact with my breast. I could feel him shuddering in my embrace as our skin came in contact.
"You're making it difficult for me to breathe, bache." He breathed out while my hands caressed his nape to calm his raging breath down when my lungs exploded with the need of oxygen. "Irony is, it's also difficult for me to breathe in the air in which you aren't there."
"Damn you, Manik." I fisted his hair and pulled him to slam my lips on him. His actions weren't helping, and his words now did no better. I bit his lips, allowing him to grant the access. I had no control over me anymore. I kissed him like never before. His hands cupped my cheeks while mine caressed his hair.
But it dint last longer, as my attention completely diverted towards the fact that his hand which was on my waist now glided upwards, through my stomach, brushing past my nipples followed by shoulder and finally my palms.
The shiver ran down my spine at the mere sense of his palms on my skin. I gasped as he intertwined our hands and pinned it above. My other hand on his nape was also caught brutally, restricting my every action. This time, he kissed me. Kissed me like I'm his only salvation. Kissed me like his life depended on it. His hold tightened while I shuddered under him helplessly.
I shut my eyes, feeling his lips moving over mine endlessly. We needed air, but we needed this even more. After it felt like eternity, he detached himself and rested his forehead on mine. Our harsh breath mingled. My chest heaved heavily, eyes still shut, taking it all in.
"May I." I knew what he was talking about. Heat rushed up my cheeks, and I nodded, yet having no courage to open my eyes and look at him. "Open your eyes, Nandini. Look at me while I worship you." I shook my head, adamant enough to not open my lashes. I felt him lowering himself even more, breathing near my earlobe, "Open baby, or else I have my own ways."
Goosebumps erupted over my skin, but it felt as if I wanted to play with fire. I chose to keep my eyes shut. Feeling his lips curving upwards, he whispered, "Your choice."
"AHHH..."
I gasped, my eyes fluttering immediately as I felt a sting on my buds. My eyes went down to see him with his eyes shut and tooth over my skin. He hovered me and opened his eyes, smirking, "That wasn't difficult." I couldn't form words.
He chuckled and leaned down to nuzzle his nose with mine, "I dint see you Nandini. Now I will, but I want you to have your eyes on me when I'm devouring you. Yeah?" I merely nodded, unable to form words.
He slid down, kissing my collarbone, midriff, and finally, my cleavage. My hands were still restricted. Thus, I could simply gasp for my breath and moan senselessly as his lips worked on my skin. My throat dried as he licked between the valley of my breast.
I felt him going down, closer to my areola. "Oh." I moaned as he bit the skin just above my bud and sucked harshly. I wriggled under him to free my hands. Having some mercy on me, he left my right wrist, which subsequently grabbed his hair to pull him closer. He struck his tongue out and licked the skin.
I gulped down my saliva, breathing heavily as he palmed my right mound. "Man... oh." I slumped down as he latched his lips to my left bud. I couldn't express the pleasure I was feeling as his tongue gently teased the erected petal and breath just over it. My eyes went down to him, breathing heavily, just when his eyes came up to mine. I caressed his hair softly before passing him a small smile.
Taking it as a cue, he sucked on it ever so softly. My heel grazed the couch fur, and my toes curled at the pleasure this man was providing me. His other hand pressed me softly while his mouth continued his work. "Mm.." He groaned, and I felt him increasing his pace.
He suddenly hovered properly, his lips still stuck to the part, and increased his pace to another level. I rolled my eyes and arched my back while he toyed with free bud, rolling them between his fingers and sucked harshly.
I was under him, him pinning my hand above my head, his hand molding my mound, lips attached to the skin, my back arching back at his every movement. I bit my lips to control myself from making such sinful sounds just when he bit on my skin. I gasped at the sting, "Manik."
"Hmm." He merely hummed, his attention solely on my skin. He released my skin only to latch on the other one. My palms could simply caress his hair as he suck on my breast. I looked down to see his eyes shut, hands wrapped around my waist, my hands caressing his nape, pulling him closer.
At that moment, I realized that it was no longer erotic, but romantic. His shut eyes depicted the relief from the stress of the day. He was tired. And he needed this.
I blinked my eyes and smiled softly. "Manik." I called him out ever so softly, caressing his nape. His eyes came on mine hearing my normal voice. "Let's go to bed. Yeah?"
He frowned and immediately nodded in a no while his lips continued to suck my skin. I exhaled shakily at the movement, "You can continue there, baba. You need to sleep."
And the next moment I knew, he picked me up and placed me on the bed. He took his place beside me to continue his deed. I pulled the duvet over us till my chest and let him be. He shifted forward and again latched his lips on my bud while I just let him be. My heartbeats were erratic, but this was equally blissful.
I smiled softly, looking at the baby man, until my eyes felt heavy and his breath fell evenly.
Manik:
Sun shone across the room through the curtains only to disrupt my sleep. I groaned at the disturbance and snuggled deeper into something. Something lavender. It did not help, causing me to open my eyes. It took some time for me to adjust to the light around. Nevertheless, I opened my eyes and stretched my arms tight to overcome my laziness.
But next what caught my eyes was the girl beside me. Wrapped in duvet on her back, her arms around me, while I was sleeping on my stomach with my hands around her stomach and face snuggled into her hair.
I sighed in content, and a small smile took its place as I witnessed our condition. Yesterday, we started in heat, but gradually, I fell into the realization that I needed this. And she understood it without even me having to explain.
I caressed her cheek slowly, having my eyes stuck to her face. They gradually moved down to her neck, which had several marks, then followed by her breast, which again had several marks. I felt strange things erupting in my stomach seeing my marks on her body.
I smiled at the sight before leaning down and placing a chaste kiss on her cheeks. I felt her wriggling a bit under me until her lashes flashed open, slowly and steadily, and met mine.
"Good morning." I nuzzle my nose on hers and slid down whispering the same.
"Good morning." Her sleepy voice reached my ears as my eyes fell on her. I was hovering her, unknown to both of us.
"Thank you, Nandini." I couldn't stop myself. "You gave me a layer of yourself." She smiled and caressed my cheeks before humming. "You've changed my life, Nandini. To an extent that, it's impossible for me to return to my old self."
"Then don't." She shrugged. "I don't know what your old self was, but this Manik is more dear to me." We stayed in silence, absorbing the depth of words we uttered. My heart felt heavy with unsaid words, but lips had no courage to word it out.
"I like you."
Her eyes snapped at mine, probably taken aback by my sudden confession.
My eyes felt wet as my hands came to hers to caress her back side of the palm, "I don't know what love or like is Nandini. But if wishing to have meal with you, having you beside me every night, seeing your face every morning, having myself to keep a check on dates for you, remembering small details, sharing everything you counts in that. So be it." I let it out. Whatever I felt. I like you Mrs. Nandini Manik Malhotra, and thus, you aren't allowed to go away from me. I need to by my side. Every day every second"
"Forever Till Aeturnus."
Tear from my eyes trailed off and fell over her eyes. She shut them immediately with a smile adorning her lips. A string of tears slid down the side of her eyes as she opened them to reach mine.
She slid her hand to my nape and pulled me down, pecking my lips ever so gently, answering every question. I shut my eyes and stayed there until her lips moved against mine while I followed her. She cupped my face and deepened the kiss. I let her take the lead.
Pulling apart, I snuggled down in the crook of her neck before she murmured.
"The moon was beautiful yesterday, isn't it?"
Anurag:
"Dad, please!" I whined and huffed seeing him sipping his tea, clearly unbothered about my whine.
Well, it was for the nth time I was pleading him to permit me for a day off, but this man who appears to be my father is just so adamant to not let his single son get a girl.
"May I ask why?" Dad asked, sipping his tea and raising his eyebrows.
I gulped down my bite and looked at mom for help, who just ignored me.
Great!
"Um...dad woh..."
"He has plans, dad." Came a voice from behind. My brother. "He was busy all these days. So finally his friends and him have decided to go out." He spoke sitting on his chair while bhabhi stood beside him to serve him.
"That will be in the evening, right? Why does he wish for an entire day off?" I sighed in defeat and hung my head down.
Mere pyar ke dushman mere papa!
"Oho. Don't be such a Hitler Raj." My eyes twinkled and snapped at mom, who supported me.
Dad sighed and nodded in disbelief, "Okay, fine. Aise bhi meri kaha chalti hai aapke samne."
[Anyways, my words are of no effect in front of you.]
I chuckled, "Not just you, dad. All men are whipped." I said and gestured towards the couple who were busy in their own world. We collectively chuckled at the sight.
Bhai was pulling bhabhi, who looked reluctant but nevertheless occupied the seat. He served her and himself, followed by the juice. Her nose scrunched at the sight of matar paratha and almost glared at her husband.
"Manik..."
"At least try, baba." He interrupted even before bhabhi could start her crib.
She scrutinized her gaze and used her bramhastra, "Mom!"
Mom chuckled and shook her head in disbelief before getting up from her seat and passing her a plate that had some other paratha, may be aloo. "Here, have this."
Bhabhi sighed in relief, "Thank you, Maa." She twitched her lips at Bhai and had her breakfast, who sat there looking at the unfolding drama dumbfounded.
"Matlab mere ghar mein meri yahi izzat hai?"
We laughed, "Correction, brother, there was no izzat." Bhai rolled his eyes while we continued laughing at his expense.
As the session came to an end, my father, who was winding up his breakfast, spoke, "You can take a day off, Anu. But don't expect the same until next month."
My eyes gleamed, "Thank you, dad!" He nodded and moved away from the dining table followed by mom. My eyes then fell on my brother and bhabhi, who looked at me as if expecting something. "Sidha sidha pucho na."
"Why day off?" Manik was the first one to shoot the question.
"Because I'm tired." I shrugged and lowered my eyes to my plate, having nothing but traces of the food which was in my stomach now.
"Yeah? When was the last time you took a day off because you were 'tired' because of work?" He asked, quoting that word using his fingers. My sight oscillates between Bhai and bhabhi, who were not in the mood to let this go.
I sighed internally and glared at my brother, "When you know I'm lying, you shouldn't ask me questions, right?"
"Trust me, my brother, I know the answer too." I read the smirk in his words as he uttered them.
"Hello, sir?" Bhabhi waved trying to interpret what we are talking about.
She was successful enough when Bhai averted his eyes from me and concentrated on his lady love, "Kuch nahi bacche, your devar is going to bring you a devrani." And he dropped the bomb in most unexpected way.
I nervously glanced at Bhabhi, who widened her eyes and snapped her head at me, "Sach me?" I coughed at her question and chose not to look at her. "Okay, I got my answer." She giggled, "But at least tell me who the girl is?"
My throat dried at her question. I looked at Manik, who was leaning on the chair with his hands crossed, enjoying the situation I'm in with a smirk. Understanding that this man is of no use, I gulped nervously and glanced back at her, who awaited my answer, "Uh, bhabhi..." I chuckled and rubbed my nape nervously. "I'll make you meet her soon. I promise. Please?" I tried showing my puppy eyes.
"Sahi me kutta lag raha hai tu."
I glared at the man who found it important to comment this between my crisis. Bhabhi narrowed her eyes but nevertheless nodded with a huge smile. "All the best, Anu."
I exhaled in utter relief before responding with a smile.
Manik got up, dusted his lap, and glanced at bhabhi, "Chale?"
She frowned, "Kaha?"
He rolled his eyes, "Chalo." He held her wrist and pulled her up before dragging her with him. I chuckled loudly at the sight and nodded in disbelief. Who will believe this guy was the same who used to run away from marriages.
But retrospection of the series of events, the change in subsequent scenarios resulted in several other upswings. The girl I rebuked on the very first...second meet turns out to be the most vital missing puzzle of my life.
And now, when things are where it should belong, there must be no delay in deciding something you always wanted to. A part of me is nervous to core. What will it lead to? Several questions were pacing in my mind, and I had no answers to it. Sighing in helplessness, I simply got up dialing someone on my phone.
"I've texted you a few things. I need everything to be ready by 5." I ended the call without waiting for the opposite person's response. I quickly grabbed my keys and ran out of my house to my car.
As time passed by, my eyes desperately searched for that one precious possession I was yearning for. Weirdly, my self-consciousness was unaware of the thing I'm searching for. It simply longs for the sight of that one thing that screams us.
My eyes desperately moved everywhere in the market before it chose to land on one such object. Evicting any sort of second thoughts, I quickly purchased it along with some other things and made my way to the location. I would be a total lie if I say that I wasn't nervous. I was driving just when my phone rang. A small smile creased itself on my lips as the name of the contact shone bright.
I quickly attached my bluetooth and picked up the call, "Kahiye madam."
"What should I wear, anu? At least give me some hint. You'll be all dressed up like some geek god, and I'll make a fool out of myself. This isn't don.." Her rant was interrupted when the doorbell of her house rang.
I bit back that sly smile, "Problem solved?" She sighed in defeat.
"You're impossible."
I chuckled, "I know minion." She stayed silent. I shook my head, imagining her with a pout, "Don't be upset baba. I've texted you the location right. You'll come to know once you come here..." Words stayed back as a question lingered, "Aaogi na?"
"Who knows." She replied. Of course she will. Ignoring my thumping heart, I gulped down all my second thoughts.
Of course she will come. I reminded myself until she chose to speak, "Ab me phone rakhu?"
Nahi na..
"Acha suno." I called out.
"Haanji?" My heart!
"Wear those same earrings." I whispered slowly, my hands busy with the steering wheel but mind completely occupied by a tiny girl.
She giggled, "Bye anu."
"Aana Minion. Please." I couldn't stop myself.
A pregnant pause erupted the volcanos of doubt, "Tumhare paas hi aaungi. There's no question mark to it."
I blinked my eyes while my breath heaved, "Pakka?"
"Sau takka." She replied confidently. "At least in this life." Her murmur did not fail to reach my eardrums.
I shook my head, "Seven lives promises are always cliché. What I can promise you is that you'll always find me beside you no matter what."
"Acha?"
"Hmm hmm."
"Toh agar we are in different countries?"
"Phone." I shrugged.
"If you're upset with me."
"That does not define the strength of thread that binds us."
She went silent, yet spoke everything. "You're something Anurag." She sighed for the nth time.
"If you say so." She giggled from the other side. "Now go and get ready. You have exactly, " I quickly glanced my watch that showed four PM, "One and half hour."
"I'll see you."
"Yeah.."
None of us ended the call.
"Bye." She whispered.
"Bye."
Yet, no one did.
"Acha bye." I laughed at her chuckle and finally ended the call.
Sukoon
***
Clock struck five fifteen PM and my heartbeat rose to its maximum pace. I had no idea what I'd say to her. But her presence was enough for me to decide what will further go on. I glanced around the arrangements for the nth time, making sure nothing goes wrong. Nevertheless, it was abnormal for me to feel abruptions in my stomach at the mere thought of her walking to me in that dress, those earrings and her.
I was decked up in a white shirt, black jacket and jeans. Informal but I wanted to bring myself just like she'll bring herself. I rubbed my palms nervously and exhaled deeply.
"Calm down Anu. It's just her." Yeah it's just her. With whom, the chances of judging is nil. Yeah!
Glancing my watch for the nth time, that ticked twenty five. Five more minutes. My heart thumped nonchalantly, aware of the moment that she can be here any moment.
Will she like it?
Does she feel the same?
Will things go how I planned?
She will come right?
Several questions rang in my ears but my consciousness chose to push away all the insecurities.
She will come.
I know.
I exhaled shakily and nodded in affirmation. The cold gust of wind struck me and the sky fell dark welcoming the onset of the end of another day. My eyes shifted to the clouds above which were darkened, depicting the signs of rainfall. My throat dried. I sipped some water just when my phone rang.
Alarm
It's five thirty.
"She isn't here yet." My subconsciousness screamed.
Might be due to traffic. Yeah!
I tucked into my jeans pockets and stood out of the location, leaning against the the door. My eyes did not budge from the path that was meant for her to walk on. It desperately searched for one glimpse of hers. My brain searched for that subtle smell of her perfume that reaches me before she does. The sound of her heels, the movement of her hair across the wind, her smile, her mere presence.
I trust her. She will come. Yeah!
"Tumhare paas hi aungi. There's no question mark to it."
Affirmed by the sudden echo of her words, I held my heart tighter and glanced at the watch...again. Six.
"Sir.." Taken aback by sudden call, I turned around abruptly shocked to find the men who helped me standing there. They glanced each other nervously, "Sir it's about to rain."
I understood the intention of hesitation behind their words. They have to rush back home to prevent the danger of water clogging. I gulped down the weird sensations, and nodded, "Yes. You may leave." They passed me a smile and muttered a thank you, before leaving the venue.
There was no one left here, except me.
My eyes wandered around the location that spoke the intentions of the evening. Of the plans I made. Of the efforts I put in. Of those feelings.
The empty dining tables. The untouched movie cassette. The blank projector that was set up along with sleeping arrangements and duvet.
Six turned into six fifteen.
Six thirty
Seven
Eight
The heaviness my heart felt couldn't be expressed in words. I held back those streams threatening to escape depicting my defeat. My heartbreak.
She dint show up.
She never came.
