•The end •

Jungkook's Pov

I hang-up the call with Y/n almost half an hour ago, so I expected her to already be here but I couldn't spot her car anywhere in the parking. So I thought to go inside and meet the inspector till she arrive. After asking for permission I headed towards his office with a quite knock on the door I went in.

The Inspector stood on his place and stretched out his hand, a silent invitation for trust as he said "Mr. Jeon, you finally here..." He looks behind me expecting someone "Y/n didn't join you?" I reached out and clasped his hand firmly and stared at him for referring me as Mr. and was casually referring Y/n by name.

"I am really sorry it's just, She doesn't like being referred as Ms. lee" matter of fact, I politely shook my head "It's alright ." I smiled "So what was the thing you called me here for?"

"Actually it's about Sam's recent confession-" He was cut as the cop's radio interrupts us, he adjusts the volume with a quick turn on the knob to loud and clear enough to be heard.

Officer:
"Dispatch, this is Unit 24, Reporting a traffic accident at the crossroad on Highway 1 near Gwangjin Station."

Inspector:
"Unit 24, go ahead with details."

Officer:
"Highway 1 near Gwangjin Station. A black Mercedes-Benz sedan, license plate 21 나 8342, is stuck after colliding with a delivery truck. The vehicles are blocking the intersection, causing significant Traffic Jam. The Mercedes is on fire, and there may be injuries. EMS is required. The roadway is completely blocked. Requesting immediate tow truck, traffic control assistance, fire department, and EMS response. Additional units needed for scene management. Over."

As the radio goes off officer bow "I am sorry, give a movement please" he said and heads toward the exit. My breath was stuck in throat at the mention of A black Mercedes 21 나 8342, it is Y/n's car... "That's... that's Y/n's car" I said turning towards the exit to face Inspector..

The Inspector turns facing me and stares in shock..."WHAT???"

I nodded my head slowly " Yes 21 나 8342 is Y/n's Mercedes"

Fuck that's the last thing the Inspector mumbles before rushing out of his cabin, I followed him feeling my world crash, Losing Y/n would be the darkest of my nightmare and losing her on the same day ever we met each other was horrifying to death.

I watched the Inspector made frequent calls, coordinating with the officers as they prepared to leave. I moved toward my car, but before I could open the door, he stopped me. "You should stay back"

I froze, staring at him as my vision blurred,"Freaking no... I am coming there with you" my voice cracked, barely above a whisper. His voice softened, and he offered me a handkerchief.

"You don't look like in a condition to drive please" He said, I felt the wetness of my tears already slipping down my face.

"I- Ok get in my car, I can't let you drive" Inspector said and I hopped in his car, location was not that far which make sense that she met an accident on the way to police station that's why she couldn't make it there.

As we reached the location, the smell of burnt rubber and scorched metal hit me first, sharp and suffocating as I stepped out of the police car, my breath hitching as I took in the scene. My eyes darted to the blackened license plate of the Mercedes 21 나 8342 and my chest tightened. The sight of it was like a punch to the gut, confirming my worst fears. A plume of black smoke spiraled into the sky, The black Mercedes-Benz, its once-luxurious curves Y/n loved a lot, now crumpled beyond recognition. It's shattered windshield glinted under the bright sunlight, fragments of glass scattered like fallen stars across the asphalt.

The delivery truck was parked by the side of the road with a crashed front. Two men, likely the truck's driver and passenger, sat on the open step of an ambulance, their faces pale. A paramedic crouched beside them, carefully wrapping a bandage around one man's arm while the other held an ice pack to his forehead. Their injuries appeared minor, but their dazed expressions spoke volumes about the shock of the collision. The air was filled with the wail of sirens, the shouts of officers, and the hiss of the fire as responders doused the flames.

I stood at the edge of the chaos, unable to breathe, my mind stuck on one agonizing loop: Where is she? My eyes darted from one ambulance to the next, scanning every figure, every face, but I couldn't find her. My chest tightened, the knot of fear growing heavier with each passing second.

The Inspector placed a firm hand on my shoulder, as if sensing the storm building inside me. 'Stay back,' he urged, his tone carrying both authority and concern. But his words barely registered. My mind reeled, imagining the face of Y/n I knew to be inside that wreckage. Was she alive? Was she—
I shook my head violently, refusing to let the thought take root. My feet moved on instinct, but the Inspector's grip tightened. 'We're handling it,' he said, though his expression betrayed doubt.

Somewhere in the distance, paramedics were setting up a stretcher, and officers were waving down traffic. The fire crackled ominously, a cruel backdrop to the chaos. Each second stretched endlessly, my heart hammering in my chest as I stood frozen, helpless, at the edge of devastation. Then, a sharp voice cut through the noise.

"Over here! There's someone in the bushes!"

My heart leaped into my throat. Without thinking, I broke free of the Inspector's grip, ignoring his protests as I sprinted toward the officer who had shouted. The officer knelt in a patch of tall grass by the roadside, gesturing anxiously to paramedics. I pushed past him, my breath catching as I saw her.

Y/n lay crumpled among the leaves and dirt, her hair a tangled mess around her face, her skin pale. A small trickle of blood ran from a scratch on her temple, and her chest rose and fell in shallow but steady breaths. Relief flooded through me like a tidal wave, nearly dropping me to my knees.

"She's alive," the officer said, his voice steady but urgent. "Looks like she jumped before the crash. Just unconscious."

I barely heard him as I dropped beside her, my trembling hands brushing her cheek. "Y/n," I whispered, my voice breaking. "It's me. Your kookie, Please open your eyes."

Her eyelids fluttered briefly, a faint groan escaping her lips. "Paramedics are on their way," the officer added, stepping aside as Paramedics hurried over with a stretcher.

I wanted to scoop her up in my arms and shield her from the chaos, but I forced myself to step back, my hands clenched into fists to keep them from shaking. As they lifted her onto the stretcher, her head lolled slightly, and for a moment, I thought she'd wake. But she remained still, her expression soft, as if in a deep sleep.

The Inspector placed a hand on my shoulder, grounding me as my knees threatened to give way. "She's going to be fine," he said, his voice firm. "Let them do their job."

I nodded, swallowing the lump in my throat, i followed them with my gaze not leaving her as they carried her to the ambulance. The fire in the Mercedes had been extinguished, and the officers had begun directing traffic again, but the scene still felt like a surreal nightmare I couldn't wake from.

Not soon after they took her in ambulance started checking on her, my phone buzzed, pulling me from the haze of panic. Notifications flooded the screen—headlines, news alerts, and endless tags on social media: "Breaking: Ms. Lee Y/n involved in major car accident."

The vibration was relentless, but I couldn't bring myself to answer any of them. I didn't want to talk to any reporter out here. I didn't want to explain. I just wanted her to open her eyes and tell me she was fine.

But when Jimin's name flashed on the screen, I hesitated. My hand trembled as I swiped to answer. His voice was frantic, barely letting me speak.

"Where are you? What happened? Is it true—Y/n?!"

"They're taking her to Seoul Medical Center" I managed, my voice barely audible. "I'm going with her."

"Jungkook—" Jimin started, but I cut him off. "I'll call you back. See you all there, okay?"

I hung up before he could reply and shoved the phone into my pocket, not trusting myself to deal with the barrage of calls and messages. My legs moved on autopilot as I climbed into the ambulance, before the doors closed, I whispered under my breath, a promise only I could hear. "I'm not losing you. Not today. Not ever." taking the seat beside her.

Her hand was cold when I took it in mine, the faint warmth of her pulse the only thing keeping me from unraveling completely. The paramedic worked methodically, cleaning the cut on her temple and checking her vitals, but my eyes were fixed on her face.

"Please you stay alive." I whispered, my thumb brushing over her knuckles. My words were meant for her, but it felt like I was pleading with the universe itself. "Please, Y/n... you have to be okay."

The siren wailed above us, the city flashing by outside the ambulance window as we headed towards the hospital, but it all blurred into the background. All that mattered was her.

<<< A Month Later >>>

It's been a month since that accident, and Mia was arrested and charged for lifetime imprisonment for attempt to murder and Sam also spent a good time of his life in prison for helping Mia. The album launch also happened pretty good, But everyone was upset about Y/n's absence. Today was is the first concert with the songs from new album.

The evening started with how old hits of BTS and the most popular once....

After multiple breathtaking performances, the lights dimmed namjoon's voice echoed from the pitch dark "Tonight is going to be special, with a exciting surprise waiting for you all" The crowd broke into cheers, some shouting guesses. Namjoon stepped aside walking backstage to change outfit, just after Namjoon left, another voice took over the mic "Army~" she said in the microphone "This past month has been one of the most challenging in my life, but your love and support helped me get through it." spotlight fell on Y/N's in an elegant outfit that shimmered under the lights. For a moment, the world seemed to freeze. Armys stared and stunned silence, processing the impossible... Y/n, the same Y/n they thought was still recovering was now standing before them, Looking as angelic as ever again the stage got covered with pitch dark.

The beats started to play again starting with the hit from the new album,  after that the beats dropped and some slow melody started to play, it didn't take much for the Armys to guess it was the background music from the romantic duet of Jungkook and Y/n.

Jungkook's eyes glittered in the dazzling lights around the stage with a sign of tear.

Jimin came near and gave a pat on jungkook's shoulder and Jungkook started with his part and as his part was about to end a suspicious smile formed on the lips of all the members as armys made a pin drop silence with the beat drop.

As the beats started to take its pace. Jungkook got in the center stage with everyone else taking their position towards right and left, just then the curtain dropped as Y/n walked on the stage in her Shimmering long dress singing "You were the heartbeat that kept me alive, the reason I never gave up the fight."

Y/n kept her look secret from everyone for the day so when she walked up not only the fans but everyone's eyes were locked on her, when Jimin noticed how Jungkook was so lost in staring at y/n and his microphone hung loosely in his hand, Jimin whispered teasingly, "Jungkook, sing!"

Snapping out of his daze, Jungkook joined her, their voices harmonizing beautifully as they performed their duet. The members stood to the sides of the stage, exchanging knowing smiles as they watched the magic unfold. As the final notes of the song faded, the stage lights dimmed, leaving a soft glow, Y/n turned to smile at the members as they all joined Y/n and Jungkook on center stage enjoying the rest of the the concert with a series of stunning costume was on display with every change in theme of the song, with the costume the mesmerizing choreography and the heartfelt lyrics, made the evening unforgettable. Yet the biggest surprise of the night was still to come.

After the magical performance. Every song was charged with emotion, the energy of the crowd feeding into the performers on stage. As the final notes of the encore faded, Jungkook approached Y/n, who stood at the center of the stage, visibly overwhelmed.

Jungkook turned toward Y/n, his voice trembling with emotion. "Do you know what I've realized this past month? That life is terrifyingly fragile. That in one moment, everything you thought you had forever could slip through your fingers."

His words hung in the air, and the crowd seemed to collectively hold their breath. He reached out, gently taking Y/n's hand in his, his thumb brushing over her knuckles.

"I've spent ten years pretending that being your best friend was enough. That standing beside you, sharing laughs, tears, and moments of success could fill this... this space in my heart that only you could. But it's not enough, Y/n." His voice cracked, raw and full of yearning.

"When I heard about the accident, my world stopped. The thought of losing you... I couldn't breathe. I couldn't imagine a life where you weren't by my side. When I thought I might lose you..." He paused, his eyes glistening as he fought back tears. "It felt like the sun had set on my world. Like there'd never be light again. And I knew then, without a doubt, that my life doesn't make sense without you in it not as my friend, but as my everything."

He dropped to one knee, pulling out a small velvet box as a wave of gasps rippled through the crowd. His hands trembled as he opened it, the diamond catching the light and sparkling like the stars above them.

On the left side of the stage, Jimin's jaw dropped, his eyes wide with disbelief, but the soft smile tugging at his lips betrayed the sheer joy he felt for both his younger brother and best friend Y/n. V, standing beside him, clasped his hands together dramatically, his signature boxy grin lighting up his face as he whispered something to J-Hope, who was practically bouncing on his toes with excitement.

Jin, ever the proud hyung, had a hand over his heart, his expression a mix of surprise and emotion as though he were the father of the bride, while RM stood tall, his dimples deepening with a knowing smile that said he'd been waiting for this moment for far too long.

Even Suga, usually composed and reserved, had a glint of pride in his eyes, his arms crossed over his chest as he nodded approvingly, a faint, affectionate smirk playing on his lips. as jungkook said "Y/n," he said softly, his voice steady despite the tears streaming down his face. "You've been my greatest joy, my strongest inspiration, and my truest home. You've taught me love without even trying, and now, I want to spend the rest of my life showing you how much that means to me. Will you marry me?"

The six of them exchanged glances, their expressions varying from over the top excitement to quiet emotion, but all carried the same unmistakable look of brotherly support and happiness. They knew this was more than a moment it was a lifetime they have waited for in the making of years of friendship and unspoken feelings are finally the said Love.

Tears spilled down Y/n's cheeks as she looked at him, her hand covering her heart like she was afraid it might burst. She nodded, her voice trembling with joy as she finally managed to whisper, "Yes. A million times, yes."

As she said yes, the members subtly stepped back to give Jungkook and Y/n the spotlight, V couldn't help but whisper to Jimin with a teasing grin, "Guess we'll have to compete for best speech at the wedding." Jimin chuckled, nudging him lightly, their eyes never leaving the emotional scene unfolding before them.

The crowd erupted into cheers, but for the two of them, it was like the world had fallen away. He slipped the ring onto her finger, then rose to pull her into his arms, holding her like she was the only thing that mattered.

"Forever," he murmured, his forehead resting against hers.

And then, with the world watching, he kissed her.

It wasn't just a kiss; it was a promise, a declaration, and a celebration all at once. As confetti rained down and the fans chanted their names, he leaned close, his voice barely audible over the roar of the crowd. "Forever, Y/n. You're my forever." Her arms wrapped around his neck as he held her close, their love shining brighter than any spotlight.

As they pulled apart, their foreheads still touching, he whispered, "This is just the beginning."
