FEBRUARY 2024

JANE'S POV:

It passed almost a month since the premiere took place, Percy Jackson and the Olympians got the popularity that it deserved and I was extremely proud of everyone from my cast. We all became pretty famous and it felt scary, for me mostly, people at school would ask for my autograph which I was more than pleased to sign, but there were some that requested Leah's, Aryan's, Charlie's, Dior's number which was very weird and I did my best to avoid that kind of situation. And there was something more, Walker became extremely popular especially for the girls who were crazy in love with my co-star, I mean the 1.B views on TikTok and millions of edits were saying something about him. I totally got it, like he was kind, intelligent, absolutely fantastic actor and yeah... he was handsome... ocean blue eyes and curly blonde hair was the perfect combination for a boy to make the girls go insane. What was the worst in my case was that it turned out that I like him a lot, like a lot... I had no idea how it happened but since the premiere when he said those amazing words about me playing in the show I felt something, as a sort of warmth overwhelming my body and little butterflies flying in my stomach whenever I thought of Walker.  The thing was that I had no intention in liking him because I knew I shouldn't, we had been friends for almost two years, we built a beautiful friendship which I didn't want to ruin with my stupid crush, it was not just a crush, for him plus maybe he didn't and could never see me more than his friend, the daughter of the author of the character he plays.

"Attention, students! Please come outside in the backyard! The principal has an announcement to make!" Mrs. Gresley uttered into the microphone from the radio station, so her voice could be heard everywhere in the school through the little mics placed all over the walls. I narrowed my eyebrows wondering what could be so important that the principal wanted all of us in the backyard, he had never summoned everyone unless it was something that involved the typical fire alarm or earthquake exercise which was usually done once a year and we have already done it two weeks ago.

I ran outside after quickly closing my locker, there were already hundreds of teenagers standing in little groups, none were paying attention to the principal and Mrs. Gresley standing on the stange, but what caught my attention was the lacrosse school team being next to the stage along with the cheerleader squad, they were all dressed in their cheerleader and lacrosse uniforms.

"Jane!" Emma waved at me, she was few feet away from my position and just close enough to the stage to hear what the principal was going to inform us. I quickly headed towards, hugging her tightly while asking if she knew what this was about, Emma gave me a small smirk saying that she had no idea which I believed it was false because she was acting weird again, since I told her about my feelings for Walker she always acted like that whenever it was something that included him.

"Dear, students. As you all know next week we will be celebrating almost twenty years since lacrosse was initiated in our school. Moreover our team has succeeded in making it into the finals which will be held at our school the next coming week. I want you all to be well-mannered and threat the Fairview lacrosse team exceptionally because they will be our guests from monday until friday. Thank you for your presence. You can go back to your classes!" the principal announced sternly, I felt
like I was about to faint due to the fact that I knew Walker was playing lacrosse in his school, I felt my cheeks go pink a bit as I thought about him coming here to visit.

"Jane... you're blushing" Emma whispered in my ear with a slight giggle, I quickly shook my head before glaring at her because I hated when she was doing these things to me.

"OMG! OMG! OMG!!!" a girl started to scream while jumping up and down drawing everyone's attention towards her.

"You said Fairview?! From Pennsylvania?!!" another one shouted before started to scream aswell, the principal and Mrs. Gresley looked at the girls with a disgusted expression.
"Yes, miss Davis. You don't have to act like a wild animal, young lady. This is a school!" Mrs Gresley snapped with her usual firm tone while arranging her jersey and keeping a steady position.

"But you don't understand, professor! Walker Scobell is going to be HERE!" the girl shouted as millions of groups of girls started screaming and jumping, some literally began to cry and one of them faint because of the shock, Mrs Gresley got scared and took the girl to the infirmary as fast as she could.

I was trying my best to hold my laughter, this was the funniest day I've ever had at school, I somehow expected for some girls to act like that because now almost half of America knew maybe more about Walker than Walker himself which I truly hated, I got that people (girls mostly) liked him but he was a human being too just like everyone else.

"Well... this year's game is gonna be funny..." I mumbled smiling at Emma, she nodded putting her arms around my neck and hugging me, it looked kinda cute from a distance, me brunette and really small while she was blonde and taller than me. Suddenly I felt something in my pocket, my phone had just buzzed, I opened it and checked to see notifications from dumb bumbler.

Whatcha doin, jeans?

Nothing, just laughing my ass off because girls are kinda going crazy coz you comin at my school on monday 😂

I smiled before closing my phone but I could notice the grin on Emma's face as she looked down at me.
"Shut up!" I snapped at her putting my phone back in my pocket.
"I didn't say anything!" she said back as a made my way to my next period, secretly I was very excited for the new week to come.

I'm actually SOOO excited for these next chapters😝😝😝 y'all don't know what I'm preparing;))
