JANE'S POV:

"Why are you acting like nothing special has happened?" Emma asked as I was putting my english notebooks back into my locker, it was one of those tough days from my schedule and ever since two days ago when the incident from P.E class occured I had not had the courage to face or even talk to Walker. My mind was overthinking what I had witnessed the moment I was into his arms, maybe I had been hallucinating but I could swear on my songs notebook, the most dear object in my life, that I spotted Walker glancing at my lips, like he was staring at something below my nose, perhaps I was making it all up in my head.

"Because nothing has happened, Em" I answered with a stern expression glaring at her while closing the locker with a bit of a loud sound, why was I angry? because I didn't have the guts to go and talk to him, probably yes.

"You're stupid, Jane. With all the love and respect I have for you, my dear, you are VERY dumb in handling this situation" Emma said to me shaking her head in disappointment, but honestly what did she know? She wasn't like me, having only a friend in this entire damn city and school, being too anxious to make a freaking move to start something with the boy I love. No, she wasn't, Emma was better, she was the kind of person I had always dreamed to be, confident and self-respected, and a girl who would always stand up for her friends, that's why I loved her more than myself.

"I'll see you after class" I told Emma quickly hearing the bell ring, I had math with Mrs Gresley, wonderful, the day couldn't become more upsetting than I had already been.

THIRD PERSON POV:
Walker was a good actor, one of the best of his age many would say so he knew perfectly how to fake romantic feelings in a movie or tv show but when it came to reality he sucked really bad, especially when it came to lovely Jane. Since 6th when he befouled her by accidentally splashing tomato sauce all over her clothes in front of the entire school, he wasn't able to forget her face and the coincidence was for him to meet her again a year later and become friends. Yet, for Walker the feeling of friendship began to develop into something more the moment he came to vacation in Boston last summer. It lasted for six months now, so Walker had to tell her today or until the end of the week while he will still be here because he won't have the courage to do it when they would be split up again. Even if he was sure he will ruin the friendship and Jane will hate him for life, Walker was willing to confess to her because a girl like her deserved to know that she was loved so much...

Wandering around the center of Boston in attempt to find a jewelry shop to buy something pretty that has been on his mind the last two days, he had spotted it on the internet and now he needed to buy it for her. Boston was a crowded and big city so it was kinda hard for Walker to find a shop, plus the fact that his phone died a few minutes ago didn't help with anything.

"Walker!" he heard a loud girl voice shouting at him right when he wanted to take the left road, he slightly looked over his shoulder thinking it was a fan, it certainly was someone who loved him very much.

"Huh? Who are you?" Walker asked confused as the girl quickly walked over to him, a bright smile on her full of makeup face.

"Last summer... party... spin the bottle... you should have kissed me, silly" the girl informed him, she was slightly flirting and Walker could tell that, he choked back his vomit because curly redheads with bitchy attitude were certainly not his type, Olivia being the only polite one he had ever met.

"Yeah, okay... I gotta go, so... bye..." Walker mumbled scratching the back of his neck, this was so awkward for him, what did he do to end up in this situation?

"Wait... I didn't mean it like that. I'm passed that, doesn't mean anything" Amanda suddenly grabbed his arm, Walker was taken aback glaring at the hand on his left arm, the fangirls were certainly less crazy than this girl.

"I know you have a thing for Jane" she mumbled with a grin looking into Walker's eyes which widened shockingly, how this girl knew about him and Jane and why was she being nice about it were the questions echoing in his mind.

"Me and Jane are good friends actually. I can help you if you want to give her something special" the redhead whispered giggling slightly while checking around the street to see if anyone was watching. "Fine" he sighed knowing he had no other option then to let himself be helped by a total stranger.

"Ugh! I need to think of a good intro for this song!" Jane scoffed sticking her head on the open songs notebook from her desk, for some strange reason she had been chosen to sing at the opening of the lacrosse game from Friday.

"Babe! I CANT WAIT TO WATCH YOU SING!" Emma exclaimed jumping from Jane's bed and embracing her tightly from behind, the brunette hugged her back softly chuckling at the blonde's excitement and trying to ignore the echo in her mind which was freaking out because she will show her voice in front of so many people; knowing Emma, Jane was sure her best friend had already chosen an outfit.

Emma's phone startled the girls making them giggle amused, as the blonde went to grab it and check the notifications she received, it was a post from Boston News on Twitter, but the sight of it made Emma's mouth drop.

"Wtffff is that bitch doin with my girl's man???" Emma's thoughts were loud and clear in her head, she was so angry that she was able to break something.

"What's wrong, Em?" Jane asked from her desk turning around to look at her friend, Emma knew she had to hide it so Jane won't see so she took the brunette's phone from the bed, holding both phones in her hands.

"What are you doing?" Jane asked confused watching her friend suspiciously pacing around the room with both phones in her hands.
"Nothing" Emma answered with an awkward laugh, the Jeambler operation wasn't running good.

"Give me my phone back, Em" Jane demanded getting up from her seat and pulling her hand out to take her phone but Emma won't handle it back.
"No no! Go back to writing! Passion, Energy, Rainbows, Unicorns, Inspiration!" Emma cheered putting the phones in her pocket and zipping it up.

Jane narrowed her eyebrows trying her best to not burst out laughing before running out of her bedroom to her brothers room.
"Patrick! Hayley! Give me your phones!" she uttered running into their room, Patrick was watching TikToks on his phone while Hayley was playing at the computer, without saying anything Jane grabbed Patrick's phone, the boy protesting about it. After a few minutes of searching Jane finally found the post from Boston News on Twitter, she was stunned for a moment, both her brothers looking at her with worry as she dropped the phone from her hands down on the carpet. And right then the door bell rang...

Jane ran down the stairs into the hallway, opened the door and wanted to scream at Walker who was standing outside her door with his usual cute smile on the lips.
"What do you want?" she knew it was mean how she asked but feeling her heart breaking inside didn't help her attitude.

"What..? What do you mean?" Walker asked confused, noticing her cold tone and strange look on her face, he couldn't tell if she was furious or upset.

"Why are you here?" Jane asked again this time more stern, digging her fingers into the skin from her palms to hold herself from crying.

"Well... Jane, listen... I really got to tell you something very important..." he stammered because of the shyness, it was now or never going on in his mind, he had to tell her the truth, he searched in his pocket for the little gift he had for her.

"Oh... I know what you want to tell me" she replied coldly digging the nails deeper until she felt that it would easy her pain because she had no control over it. If he meant to inform her of his new girlfriend, Amanda, she wished to be spared of the details.

"You do?" Walker asked hopeful, his heart was beating out of his chest, if she felt the same their friendship will not be ruined and Jane won't hate him for life.

"Walker, this is not a right time... please, just leave.." Jane mumbled before quickly closing the door in his nose, she let the tears fall like a waterfall down her cheeks, it hurt so bad that she wanted to throw up because of the pain, she ran back into her room, closing herself there and worrying her brothers and Emma. Good thing was that she found an intro for her song...

"But... Jeans?! Jane! Wait! What is wrong..?" Walker was beyond shocked when he was met with the brown door right in his face, he knocked again on the door but it was no use, even if they were in the house none of them would open the door for him again. Walker took out the golden necklace with the "J" initial which had a heart next to it, he played with it in his fingers deeply disappointed of whatever happened.

"I love you...." Walker whispered to himself putting the necklace back and looking at Jane's house again before walking away to his lacrosse practice.
