Time skip to February 2023

The filming had already finished due to the pain in Jane's heart because she had to say goodbye to all her friends from the set, not knowing when they'll see each other again. And return to her old miserable life, don't get me wrong, Jane loved to stay at home, spend time with her family and most of all write new songs. Yet when it came to her social life, school life, things weren't really that amazing for the 13 year old girl. The only person beside the cast from Percy Jackson and the Olympians, who Jane could call friend was Emma, a girl with blue diamond eyes and short blonde hair who always supported and stood by Jane's side no matter what. However there were few which didn't really like Jane, which always had to mock her when they were at school, which made her life a living hell and Jane being a bit too soft type of person never found the courage to stand against them, deciding just to ignore but sometimes it was too hard to do that aswell.

Jane, Mike and Amanda were friends since they started kindergarden, always playing together with the toys and fighting with food until they would get in trouble and their parents would resolve the mess but beside that, their friendship was unbreakable, at least that's what Jane hoped. Sadly it turned out to be exactly the opposite since the day Jane's talent in music was known by the world. Of course like any other young girl of 10 years old she would have a crush on one of her boy friends and in Jane's case that would be Mike, she was stupid and foolish in her childhood and made the mistake to spill her secret love to her only girl friend, Amanda, not actually thinking that three years later she would be betrayed. In other order of things because of the backstabbing, Jane had the luck to meet the most loyal and sweet best friend that she could ask, Emma Myers, a blonde girl with blue eyes and the most precious smile that could light the whole room including Jane's heart.

JANE'S POV:
It was monday morning and the first day of school after almost nine months of filming Percy Jackson and the Olympians, I was not here when school started in september so today was basically my first day of that year, my last year of middle school. Surely I hadn't lost anything, had a teacher there on the set to keep me up with everything plus I got my schedule from Emma because we practically had the same classes, only biology and history were different, to my relief. I could not survive a day at school without Emma due to me being too introverted, I just did not like to talk so much with people, except the ones I felt veryyy comfortable with.

"Oh my god! It can't be, can it?" I heard a voice approaching me as I was organizing my notebooks in my locker for today.

"Jane Riordan has returned to us, everybody!" the insufferable thin tone of Amanda made me close my eyes in attempt to calm my nerves down, I didn't want to deal with her not from the first day!

"Good morning to you aswell, Amanda" I muttered closing my locker and facing the redhead, she was standing right in front of me with her pink sparkling purse on her left arm and her two minions, Nora and Tracey, behind her giggling at me. Amanda was always a fashionista, always wearing expenssive jewerly and clothes almost every day at school, like a Regina of Mean Girls except she had red curly hair and was more irritating.

"I seriously need a vacation such long as yours, staying izolated in the house and editing fake photos to post for five months?! I wonder how you managed to remain... you" she grinned glancing at Nora and Tracey to make them laugh, I sighed rolling my eyes and holding my math notebook tightly to chest.

"And you seriously need to take that weird purse away, scary the kids who watch My little pony and like Pinkie Pie. They'd have nightmares. Ugh!" my best friend, my saviour uttered after walking to me and wrapping her arm around me. Amanda rolled her eyes at Emma before flipping back her hair and walking away with a scoff.

"Thank you" I whispered looking at Emma more relieved than ever. She smiled softly before pulling me into a tight hug that last long, we hadn't seen each other,only through facetimes, for months and I missed her so much.

"You'd be dead without me, love. You must learn to defend yourself" she said after breaking away from the hug. I knew she was right but I was not so strong, the only thing that would make me be at peace was listing to music, mostly Taylor Swift, through my headphones while writing lyrics that instantly came into my mind.

"Also one day I'll punch that Barbie's wanna be face and I'm gonna make three years of jail" Emma added making me laugh like crazy.
"I'd help you escape, babe" I smirked at her leaning against my locker with my back as I looked around the hall, spotting Amanda and Mike at the end of the hall very close to each other, flirting.

"So it's true?"I asked with a deep sigh swallowing nervously while watching the two of them making eyes at one another. Emma told me all the tea that happened at school while I was away, through facetime and messages and when it came to my ex best friends being together I didn't want to believe it but it seemed to be correct.

"Jane..." Emma looked at me with an apologetic face, the crush I had for Mike didn't actually disappear, he was my first ever crush so it wasn't going to fade away quickly.

"It has been three years, Jane" Emma added as I looked at her, biting my lips and checking my schedule. My first class was math with Mrs Gresley, a strict middle-aged lady who was not so sweet when you'd be late at her class. The bell rang as all the students rambled towards their class. "I know. We'll talk later" I told her with a faint smile and hugging her before walking away to the first floor where the math was expecting me... how amazing...

Problems and equations were both hard and easy in the same time, I know weird, but there were types I got correct and others I'd try my hardest until my brain would start pumping but it won't solve. I was seated in the back seat watching as Mrs Gresley was explaining to us the equations when my phone suddenly buzzed a notification from dumb bumbler (Walker)

Talking to Walker was one of my favorite
things to do everyday, even if we all spilt up after the filming was over we still kept in touch like daily and even made a group chat plus all our parents became like besties and we turned into a whole family.

"Miss Riordan!" Mrs Gresley cleared her throat making me look up at her standing right before my desk, I think I made a bit too much noise while laughing with Walker.

"If you know the equations so perfectly then you'll get an A+ on friday. You can go chat in detention, miss" she grinned evilly, this lady always wished to annoy me and it usually worked. I put my phone on the desk and continued writing as the teacher returned to her explaining.
