JANE'S POV:

On the way to get to the party, I mostly chatted with Dior and Leah, all three of us being beyond excited for the Percy Jackson and the Olympians premiere that was going to be held in December. We literally couldn't stop giggling and picturing how we were going to be interviewed and photographed by reports. What scared me the most were going to be the questions the report would ask me, like if I got asked about something I was not prepared for I would have no idea what to answer. When Leah and Dior already told me about their dresses, I played dumb wanting to make a cool entrance and surprise everyone with the outfit I had already prepared that suited with the character which I played. Emma was on the other hand talking with the boys, explaining to them where we were going and who was her friend Mindy. I had heard that name before and seen Emma talk with that girl at school, she was a cheerleader along with my ex ginger best friend and her two minions, I had never talked to Mindy in person but if Emma believed she was a good girl than so be it, my trust in Emma was like an unbreakable vow.
Sometimes I would quickly glance back to see what Walker was doing, I was confused since he hadn't really spoken to me any word that evening, I was a bit scared that he may be upset or angry with me because maybe he didn't want to go the party, yet after all that was not my fault but Emma's, or maybe he thought I forced Emma to invite them too... why the hell was I overthinking so much, it felt weird and the moment we arrived before the noise house I shook it off

THIRD PERSON POV:

It was like the bombshell of music was inside the house, when Mindy's opened the door Jane was stunned at the sight of so many teenagers.
"Mindy!" Emma opened her arms and pulled the cheerleader into a tight hug, the girl smiled as she embraced the blonde right back without hesitation.

"You made it, Emma!" Mindy said joyfully, her accent of a french girl draw attention to Jane and the others.

"Oh, these are my friends: Dior, Leah, Aryan, Charlie, Walker and my best friend Jane" Emma introduced the crew who just smiled and waved.

"Wait—! Oh my god! I know you!" Mindy pointed at Walker, her tone increasing a bit because of the shock on her face.

"Who doesn't?" Walker laughed amused, he was not very used to fans just yet but he knew he was obligated to be one way or another.

Mindy invited everyone inside and grabbed Emma's arm to go talk about something related to the cheerleader squad while Mindy kept telling Emma how she managed to bring the kid from The Adam Project in here, Emma just shook her head and chuckled wanting to keep the secret.

The Percy Jackson cast entangled into the crowd of teenagers, Dior and Leah running towards the DJ of the party because Dior's taste in music was way better than what the DJ was presenting, Charlie and Aryan managed to find the snacks and candies, some kids looking suspiciously at Charlie because he seemed to old to be a freshman in September.

Jane stood in the living room, looking around the house as the social anxiety came at her outside again, she felt her palms sweating again at the sight of so many people whom she did not know who they were or if they were going to her school.

"Jeans" Walker suddenly said though he was standing beside Jane but she was too scared to notice. "You okay?"

"Yeah... I mean... I don't know... probably.. not..." Jane stammered facing Walker who couldn't help but burst out laughing, yet he didn't mean to laugh at her he laughed because of her cuteness then he stopped shaking it off unsure why he was thinking that.

"You'll get used to parties, jeans. They're not so bad" he responded with a slight nod smiling down at her, she was so small and he couldn't help it to find it to be the cutest thing about her. Just in that moment, two girls same age as Jane passed by her and Walker, giggling and chuckling while glancing at the curly haired boy, Walker quickly smiled before returning his attention back to Jane.

"Oh, so you've become more confident with the girls who think you're cute?" Jane said with a small smirk peeking up at Walker.

"I've always been confident with the ladies, jeans. You were just too preoccupied to notice how cute I was" Walker smirked looking down at the brunette, Jane rolled her eyes and shook her head as the scene from last summer when they were buying a cake for Dior in that shop popped up in her mind.

From the back of the room, Amanda and her two friends were gossiping about how they are going to be the leaders of the cheerleader squad in that new year of school, when suddenly Nora tapped Amanda's shoulder.

"Is that Jane?!" Amanda asked disgusted and angry noticing the brunette girl standing twenty feet away from her and laughing with a boy whom Amanda never knew about.

"Who's that? Since when your ex best friend has a boyfriend?" Tracey asked while Amanda gave her a diet look, the red head sometimes losed her patience and easily got furious over any stupid things.

"That dumb fake bitch doesn't have a boyfriend! No boy would look at her! And I don't know who is that one... but I'm gonna find out" Amanda scoffed crossing her arms glaring at Jane once more before going to find Mindy to get information.

After almost an hour since the party had started Mindy, with the idea coming from the red headed fox, decided to take a new round and invite everyone to play spin the bottle, it was a typical party game in which someone would spin a bottle and had to kiss or hug the one where it landed. Jane thought that she was going to faint when she heard what they were about to play, there was no way that she was going to kiss someone just like that because of a stupid game, but nobody could deny it.

"I'm going first!" Amanda suddenly exclaimed raising her hand up before taking the bottle from the floor, they were all sitting in the living room in a pretty big circle, Jane seated herself between Emma and Leah while praying she would not get picked in this.

Amanda took the bottle from the middle of the room and spun it, the tension was higher as all the teenagers waited to see who would be the one where the bottle would land on... and when the bottle stopped everyone's eyes widen especially the Percy Jackson crew because it was pointing towards Walker. Amanda stood up on her feet, a superior smirk across her lips as she slightly glared at Jane who was too surprised to say or do anything and she couldn't notice Walker glancing at her while he got up aswell.

"Have you had your first kiss already?" Amanda whispered softly looking up at Walker with fake cute eyes.

"Nope" Walker answered looking back at his friends for help, Aryan and Charlie tried to keep themselves steady to not die of laughter , Walker wanted to die in that moment, he was praying for a bomb to strike the earth or Mindy's house and this game would have to end, he wished to add "And I'm not gonna have it with you" but decided it was smarter to keep his mouth shut even that annoying girl kinda deserved it. Instead Walker was intelligent enough to quickly hug Amanda right when she leaned in to kiss him, she was taken aback by his act, then he returned back to his place between Charlie and Aryan.

"That's not how it should be played!" Amanda screamed hitting the floor with her foot looking like a spoiled little child in the eyes of all the people.

"Technically we can either kiss or hug and I chose to hug you" Walker shrugged his shoulders not really caring about what that girl whom he had never seen, thought was fair or not, he was glad nothing had happened because he'd die before kissing a random girl.

The bottle went over and over, happily none of the cast got picked, but then it was Mike's turn, the boy who Jane had the biggest crush since she was 10, and as he spun the bottle ending up towards her Jane froze, she noticed Mike's small evil, you could say, smirk as he stood up and walked into the middle of the circle.

"Emma, I'm not doing this..." Jane whispered to her best friend, who nodded slightly, she understood Jane better than anyone, it felt all like a stupid joke and Jane would not fall into it, but if she would refuse everyone will think about her as a looser. She slowly stood up and stepped into the circle holding her head down, she wanted to burry herself into the floor, she wanted to become so small and get out of there, that was the most embarrassing moment she had ever been in.

"Looking good, Riordan" Mike said with another smirk checking Jane out, she wished to punch right then and there straight in that big nose of his.

Walker on the other hand felt like he was going to burst out any second, he had no idea why but he didn't like that guy looking at Jane in that way, she was his friend and some random guys had to earn her respect before they could even be in her presence. The moment Mike started to lean in, Walker suddenly stood up drawing everyone's attention, he started to cough again and again as both Jane and Mike looked at him aswell.

"Sorry— Got something in my throat" Walker put his hand out while the other was on his chest, he seemed like he was choking, Jane narrowed her eyebrows seeing him in a bad state.

"Think I need one of those drops, jeans" Walker added, Jane raised her eyebrows not understanding what he meant at first, she would usually carry a package of  strawberry drops especially when they were filming Percy Jackson and she succeeded in winning everyone's hearts with them because they were made by herself.

"Oh, yeah... yeah sure.." Jane nodded walking out of the living room and into the hallway where her handbag was, she pulled out a drop and gave it to Walker who immediately took it.

"Much better" he smiled tasting in the sweet strawberry flavor making Jane chuckle slightly.

"You're seriously very good at acting, dumb bumbler" Jane shook her head looking up at him with a serious expression, she knew he had been faking it the whole time and if he did it for her she could not be more grateful.

"Thanks" she added with a soft smile, Walker smiled back, she was his dearest friend and he felt the need to protect her, he couldn't say why, it just felt right in that way.

Emma, Dior, Leah, Charlie and Aryan joined them into the hallway, all taking up their jackets and shoes.

"Wait, we're leaving?" Jane asked confused.

"The music here is so bad" Dior said while Leah nodded.

"Also the food" Aryan added.

"We're gonna make our own party, guys" Charlie said standing at the door, Emma agreed with them all, she had talked to Mindy and told they will be leaving even the cheerleader felt sad about her friend not staying any longer she understood the reasons.

Jane was more relieved than ever, she was going to spend the rest of the evening with the only people beside her family whom she felt comfortable with, and she could not be thankful enough to have friends like them.

HELP THE DROPS IDEA IS SO WEIRD BUT I COULDNT THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE AND I THOUGHT IT WOULD TURN OUT CUTE😭
