{The Princess and The Queen}

"AEGON WAS BORN on Dragonstone to Lord Aerion Targaryen and Lady Valaena Velaryon. He had an older sister, Visenya, and a younger sister, Rhaenys. As the tradion was Aegon married within the family. However, instead of taking only one sister to wife, as had been common, he married both of them. It is believed that he married Visenya out of duty-because as his elder sister he needed to wed her to secure his succession-but he married Rhaenys out of love. Aegon had claimed the dragon Balerion for his own prior to his marriage."

"What are you doing, Aestra?" said Alicent taking her daughter's book in her own hand.
"Mother! I just started it, I want to find more about... Targaryens." explained Aestra with a scared face because she knew her mother, the queen, would scold her again about her debts.

"You just started. You are a princess, a Targaryen one, and you have-" "Responsibilities to this kingdom and to this family. I am aware of that, you know. Isn't Haelena enough?" Aestra cut off her mother before she could continue her entire speech again and again.
"So, now you are being rude" quothed Alicent walking slowly at the window as her daughter watched her closely.

"Rhaenyra gave birth to a son..." spoke Alicent from the window with a cold and furios voice.
"How is she?" asked the blue-eyed princess raising from her bed.
"Recovering" Alicent told her daughter knowing that this will give her a motive to do something.
"I shall go see her" walked Aestra to her door room happy that she will see her new nephew.
"You spend to much time with Rhaenyra's sons and you know that they are not who they claim to be." that was the only thing Aestra could hear from her mother's voice before she closed the door leaving the queen still staring at the window of her dorm.

Rushing through the castel corrindors, with her brown flowery gown and her little footsteps being heard as an echo, to Rhaenyra's dorm just to see little Joffrey. She did not care what her mother said about them, she loved Jace and Luke, she loved playing with them, laughing with them, even crying was a common thing. And she loved Rhaenyra so much, she adored her not just as a mother, but as a person, an important one.

They were her family, not that she did not love her brothers and sister, she tolerated them, Aegon was hard to support. Even if he is the oldest, he is acting like a cunt just because she is the youngest and he can mess with her. Haelena was the most tolerable, they did not talk much, Haelena was catched into her dreams and lonliness ,but they had a normal sister-relationship. Aemond, her twin brother, mother says, wants to bond with a dragon more than anything because he does not have one. Viserys, her father, was to occupied with his duty as king to have time to spare with his children. Alicent, her mother, hates that Aestra is closed with Rhaenyra and her kids and wants her to be the perfect princess to be a back-up for Haelena.

So yes, you could say that she has a messed-up family, nothing is good enough for them especially for her mother.

Caught out of her thoughts when she was standing before Rhaenyra's dorm more time than it's proper, they would say that she is insane now.
With a little knock the door opened and there was standing ser Harwin Strong holding a little beautiful baby.

"Aestra" began Rhaenyra's voice from the couch "How lovely to see you."
"Princess. I am very happy to be here and to see your new born child" smiled Aestra looking at the baby that the soldier had in his arms.

"You want to hold him, your majesty?" asked Harwin Strong smiling to the little one that was already sleeping.
"Oh, no. He is already sleeping" answered Aestra forming a smile on her face.
"He is sleeping in front of the commander of the city watch. How impolite" said Harwin looking at Rhaenyra as she smiled and in the same time being tired.

"Jace and Luke are with the dragons, dear Aestra. Jace asked if you will go too." told Rhaenyra to the blue eyed princess.
"I will not let them await for me then." lifted Aestra and with a goodbye to Princess Rhaenyra and ser Harwin Strong before she was out on the corrindors again.

The thing with dragons is that every Targaryen can bond and ride a dragon, just not Aestra yet, it was not such a huge problem because Aemond did not have a one yet, twin flaw, Alicent says. It did not matter anyway, her time with bonding will came, she was sure of it. Her thoughts flew away as she entered the dragon pit, and there he was, Jace, and his little brother Luke with her brothers.
"Es, you came." said Jace seeing the girl approaching them.
"Of course I did. How could I miss it?" smiled Aestra at the two boys.

"Sister. I did not notice your presence. How maltreat of me." smiled Aegon at her youngest sister just to annoy her, that was his way.
"Brother. I almost forgot that you existed. Rude of me." smiled back Aestra to return his game. Aemod cackled at his sister joke, just for Aegon to hit him in the arm.
"Ouch. What?" asked Aemond grumpy. "It was a bit funny what she said."
"Oh shut up." said Aegon before looking forward to see Vermax coming out in the pit.

"Let him come!" said the keeper to Jace before he could take another step. Vermax was a magnificent dragon, an adorable one actually, but when he will grow older he will be powerful, that is what Aestra told herself everytime he sees it. She likes Sunfyre and Dreamfyre obviously, but Vermax was something else, since she did not claim a dragon she was thrilled that she could at least admire them from afar.

Vermax came closer step by step and Jace went a little further saying "Serve!" just as the keeper told him to. Jace faced his dragon so intense as did Vermax before hissing at him.

Aestra swallowed watching the dragon and the prince eye-contacting each other while Jace faltered backwards "Halt".

Vermax retired in his place whilst the keeper congratulated "Well done" as Jace smiled to himself looking back at Aestra who returned the favour.

The gate keeper came inside with a white fatty goat that was the thing that caught Vermax's attention. Jace smiled to his dragon, Aestra could see the expression that Luke had on his face, a frightened one.

Jacaerys began to speak and the dragon approach the goat "Vermax" yet it did not listen continuing to bear down on that goat. "Vermax"

The keepers stoped the dragon just in time. The man near Jace spoke in valyrian, Aestra could catch a few words fron his mouth just as the woman translated "You must hold mastery over your dragon, my young prince."

The old man continued explaining and the woman made a gesture towards Aegon "Just as Prince Aegon did with Sunfyre."

Aestra rolled her eyes knowing that Aegon did not give a shit about what was happening at the moment after putting her attention to the keeper who spoke again in old valyrian. "Once they are fully bond to you, they will refuse to take instruction from any other."

The curly silver head caught her breath thinking of when she will bond with a dragon herself and if she will not, if she was cursed to cannot bond with these creatures. She is a Targaryen for Gods Sake, she will do it someday...

All the attention went again to Vermax who did not leave the goat out of its side. Jace smiled looking back at the keeper "Can I say it?"

The man approved with a nod and with a glace back at Aestra who smiled at him again, Jace spoke bravely "Dracarys, Vermax."

After whizzing gently the creature breath fire, penetrating squeals echoed in the pit as the goat was burned alive. Just so Vermax could catch the animal and tear his teeth into it.

Aestra was caught in her dreams when Jace approached her by taking her hand "Es? Aestra?"
The girl shingled her head before looking straight at Jace "Apologize. My head was into another world." "Just as always." laughed Jace knowing that Aestra is always dreaming of another places and never in full attention.
"Diverting really." Aestra rolled her eyes.

"How was I today?" asked Jace out of nowwhere.
"Good, but I liked that goat, why did you have to kill it?" asked Aestra making a sad face to Jace.
"It was not me. Vermax did it." aswered in deffense Jace.

"That is the whole point of it. I wonder how it is, how does it felt to be bonded with... dragons." asked shily Aestra before placing a hands near the superb browny gown.
"I want to say magical but you will say that I am stupid." said Jace looking at Aestra who answered with a laugh "No, you are not."

"Dear brother, me, Jacaerys and Lucerys have a surprise for you." said Aegon from the other side of the pit.
"Jace? What surprise?" asked Aestra concerned about this surprise they had for her twin brother.
"It will help you ride." continued Aegon just as a fat pink pig with wings and horns came into the pit for Jace, Luke and Aegon to start laughing.

Aestra looked at Jacaerys not believing why he would do that, and Luke, he was the sweatest boy in the castel.
"Why so grumpy, little sister? We can get you one too." laughed Aegon to the curly haired girl who was chocking back her tears. The thing is that Jacaerys and Lucerys looked at each other and did not laugh.

"Oh come on. Are you going to cry?" asked Aegon to annoy his sister much more.
"Aegon-" but before Jace could say anything Aestra came in front of her brother and slashed her palm on his right cheeck "Go to hell." That was all she sayed before she rushed to her room leaving the boys with their mouth full open.

Yes, Aestra Targaryen, the 8 year old princess slapped her oldest brother, she knew her mother will make a scandal out of it but she did not care, better to say is she did not regret a tiny little thing of it.

Helloooo foks!!! I wrote the first chapter and woww! Aestra is a little baddie already, her relationship with Aemond will be interesting (they are not twins tbth) ... and she will be a lil upset on Jace but they will make it up. I JUST CANNOT WAIT FOR THAT😍
