CALIA SAT BY HERSELF, at one of the tables, watching everyone else around her mingle with others. Everyone looked overly happy to be there. She wish she felt the same.

Calia scrolled through her camera roll, her finger presses on a picture. The photo was of Sky, her and Riven.

They were in the boys room, they we're supposed to be studying, but instead the boys decided to playfully attack her as revenge for dropping them into the lake at training. Riven took a picture as evidence of their attack.

Calia looks at the picture sadly, before she turns off her phone and stuffs it into her pocket. She let her eyes roam over the room once more, this time her eyes catch sight of a heated Riven and a heated Terra going at it. A boy next to them, who Calia noticed was Dane trying to calm them. He couldn't.

Calia quickly got up and made her way towards them. She kept her distance, she wasn't going to interfere if not needed. She listened to Terra speak. "No, no. I've got this. People always think that they can treat the big girl like shit because we're-we're sweet, and we're harmless, and we should happy that you're even talking to us. But sometimes, we've had a really, really bad da, and some scrawny little arsehole says the wrong thing at the wrong time, and suddenly we're not happy you're talking to us, and we're not sweet, and most of all, we are not harmless."

Terra's eyes glow and her hands stick out. A few seconds later, vines are slithering around Riven's neck. He lets out a strained groan, Calia's eyes widen, she rushes forward. "Terra! No! Let him go."

Terra doesn't even glance her way. Calia groans. She pushes Dane out the way and moves to go in front of Terra. "Terra, let him go, okay? You've made your point and now don't kill him for being a dick, it's his personality. You-You could ruin yourself and your reputation."

Terra doesn't say anything in response, only making the vines around his neck tighten. Calia groans and turns towards a struggling Riven. She places her hand on his neck, ignoring the tingling sensation she felt throughout her body.

Calia's eyes glow their white sparkling color as she focuses on breaking the vines from around the boys neck. Riven just stares into her eyes, it was drawing him in. He snaps out of his when he was suddenly released and dropped to the floor.

Calia takes a step back and places a hand on his shoulder, checking him over. "Are you okay?"

"What do you care?" Riven holds his neck before he storms off.

Calia sighs sadly watching him walk away from her. She turns towards Terra, when Riven is out of her sight. "Learn to use your voice as your power, not your actual one's. You could've killed him and you would've never been seen again."

Terra goes to speak, but Calia walks off. This was not what she expected for her first day back. She expected everything else, but this.

"Have you seen Bloom?" Aisha asks Stella as she, Calia and Musa walk into their room.

"Not recently." Stella answers, her focus on the camera in her hand as she takes pictures of herself.

"Lies." Calia could feel the waves of guilt and worry coming from the blonde. "You're putting on a nice show, but I can feel the guilt coming from you."

"I can, too." Musa pipes in. "So calm for someone racked with guilt."

"You're a mind fairy." Aisha looks at the girl on the other side of Calia.

"A mind fairy." Terra comes walking in. "What's your connection? Memory—."

"Save this discussion for later." Calia rolls her eyes. "We have a roommate to find. Stella, fess up."

"Stella, where's Bloom?" Terra questions, worry on her face.

Stella sucks in a breath, looking between the four. "She was feeling homesick, so I did a nice thing, and I lent her my ring, so that she could go back to the First World."

"Doesn't it only work outside of the Barrier?"

"Yes, and there's a gateway in the old cemetery."

"That's deep in the forest, Stella!" Calia exclaims. She didn't know Bloom, but she wasn't going to let the girl die because of Stella's foolish ways. "Her life is at risk out there. If she dies, that's on you."

Calia turns to walk out, but Musa catches her arm. "Where are you going?"

"To go make sure our roommate, who doesn't know anything about our world, doesn't die." Calia states. "I'm going to help. I know the outside like the back of hand. You guys can stay, I don't want to have to be responsible—."

"We're going." Aisha steps next to Musa. "We wanna help too."

Calia takes her arm out of Musa's grip. She looks between them all before she turns and walks away, motioning for them to follow. She hoped her magic was strong enough to protect them all.

"Bloom!" Calia calls to her, she stood next to Ms.Dowling, in the middle of an old abandoned building used for the gateway. Bloom was running towards them, a burned one not too far behind. Calia could hear it and feels it's dark energy, she pushes Bloom to run again. "Don't stop now. Go!"

Bloom runs and the Burned one what was following her jumps down in front of her and Ms.Dowling. With a nod from Ms.Dowling, Calia throws her hands out, her white, bright magic releasing from her hands. Dowling wanted her to knock it out, she wanted to see the power the girl held. She hasn't seen it in a while, Calia had no objections. She was doing something good, for her roommate.

She throws the creature at the wall, holding it up with one hand, the other lifting towards its head. She was trying to get into its head so that it would knocked out. She groaned as the dark energy coming from the Burned one slowly consumes her and combines with her energy.

The Burned one, whispers her name. She ignores its calls before her eyes snap open and the creature falls to the ground limp. Calia looks to Dowling who gives her a proud look. "Great job, now go with your roommates."

"But—."

"Calia." Dowling gives her a look. "Your father would kill me if he found you here with me."

Calia huffs, she went to walk, but instead she stumbled forward. She was drained and she could now feel it. Calia basically has to drag herself outside.

"What the hell was that thing?" Calia hears Bloom ask as she gets outside.

Calia feels her knees weaken, she over exerted herself. "A Burned one. That's what they're called."

The girls turn to her, Musa is the first to rush towards her. She grabs the girls arm and wraps it around her shoulders, Aisha does the same with her other arm. Together they hold the girl up.

"You okay?" Musa questions.

"I feel like shit if that answers your question." Calia answers. The girls chuckles.

"Guys." Bloom gets their attention. "That-That thing took Stella's ring."

"Good." Calia remarks. "Maybe it'll teach her to use her brain next time."

"What we're you thinking?!" Saul shouts, giving his daughter a hard look. "Over using your magic in order to kill a Burned one? Why were you even next to one?!"

"I was saving my roommate." Calia mutters. The girls brought her straight to his room despite her protests, they all spilled about what happened, when she didn't.

"By trying to get yourself killed in the first place?" Saul crosses his arms over his chest.

"Nothing was going to happen, Dad." Calia tries, her tone calm. She couldn't tell him about how the Burned knew her name. She couldn't. He would go insane.

"You didn't know that, Cal." Saul takes a seat next to her on his bed. He brings her into a hug. "I could've lost you and I just got you back."

Calia felt her heartbreak. She didn't think of it like that. She hugs her father tighter. "I'm sorry, Dad. It won't happen again."

Saul says nothing. He only holds onto his daughter. Calia allows him too, she hasn't seen her father in months. She was going to relish in the moments they had. Calia looks up at him. "Dad, I promise I'm not leaving you."

"I love you, kiddo." Saul kisses the top of her head.

"I love you, Dad." Calia says into his chest. The father and daughter duo, holding onto each other for a while longer.

Calia was currently walking through the halls, headphones in. She just left her father's office and somehow she wandered in front of Sky and Riven's room. She didn't know what she was doing. It was late, even though she doubted that they were asleep, she forced herself to try and believe they were and she couldn't bother them.

Calia wanted to feel a sense of peace after the day she had and she knew they would do it, but it wasn't the same. They probably didn't want anything to do with her..well Riven didn't.

Calia lifts her hand up and goes to knock on the door, she inhaled a breath before she forced herself to knock her fist against the door. She could hear rummaging in the room.

The Silva girl waiting a couple seconds before she turned to walk away, but freezes when the door opens and a voice calls to her. "Calia? What are you doing here? It's late."

Riven

"I know, I'm sorry." Calia looks to him. "Never mind, I'm just going to—."

"You're here for a reason." Riven interrupts her sentence. "Spill."

"I don't want to bother, Riven. I shouldn't have came here." Calia stuffs her shaky hands in her pocket, to hide them.

"You going to leave? Again?" Riven tilts his head at her. Calia only stays quite in response. "Once again with no explanation."

"Riv? Who is it?" Sky comes up behind the shorter boy. His gaze immediately lands on Calia. "Calia? What are you doing here? What happened?"

"She was just leaving." Riven speaks before she could open her mouth. "Again."

"Cut it out." Sky tells the boy in a rough tone. He looks back to the girl. "Is it about Bloom and the ring?"

"How did you—?"

"His bitchy ex girlfriend told him what she did." Riven leans against the door frame. He lets out a sigh. "Did-Did you get hurt?"

"Almost collapsed, but other than that I'm fine." Calia answers. She looks between the two boys. "I'm sorry for bothering you both. I'll just go. Goodnight."

The two boys at the door watch as she slowly walks away. They two look towards each other, they share a knowing gaze. Sky calls after her. "Calia, do you want to come in?"

"I don't want to bother." Calia says softly shaking her head. She wanted nothing more than to go with them.

"You never are a bother." Riven whispers. Calia was his weak spot and the only one who knew so was Sky, why? Because she was his weak spot too. "Come in, Calia. You know you want too."

"If you don't, I'll grab you and bring you into this room myself." Sky says causing her to smile. Inhaling, Calia walks forward, both boys move out of her way, allowing her to walk in.

"Be easy, on her." Sky mumbles to Riven. Riven only gives in an eyeroll and nod in response.

"You should've had my daughter kill it, if you were going to use her to knock it out." Saul stares at Farah's back. "She was already halfway."

"I said I was sorry." Farah looks out her office window. "And I couldn't leave it in the human world."

"Then you, not my daughter, should've just brought it back here and killed it." Saul takes a step towards her desk. "You're lucky it didn't break Calia's and your skin."

"I know." Farah slowly turns towards him. "I've got Ben to make up some oil from the Zanbaq flowers in the greenhouse. I've dozed it. It won't be conscious for at least half a day, thanks to Calia."

"Farah..."

"I need to get into its head." Farah claims. "We need to know if this is an isolated incident or something more."

"Something more?" Saul looks at her, his eyes wide slightly. "Like what?"

"I found a changeling in the First world. And-And there's more to your daughters magic." Farah looks down at her desk.

"More?" Saul runs a hand over his face. "And a changeling? What is it about my daughters magic that tells you there's more and-and a changeling, I haven't heard of one of those in centuries."

"And yet there she was...left 16 years ago. You're daughter was only year old when she tapped into her powers, that's not possible." Farah looks back up at Saul. "Both of these were around the time the last Burned one was spotted."

"You think it's all connected." Saul says in realization.

"I'm struggling, Saul." Farah admits. "Rosalind kept so much from us. I'm worried about your daughter...the students. The Alfea they know is very different from the one we attended. They have to much life to experience. Even if this world was safe, what they're going through can feel impossible. But this world isn't safe, and I don't know how long we'll be able to protect them from it. I know you feel it. The...shift. It's why you had your daughter come back, so that she was safe by you're side. None of them know what chaos feels like."

"They might soon." Saul states, thinking of his daughter . "We have to try our best to protect them."
