CALIA HAD NEVER BEEN so nervous in her life. She hid behind a tree as she sent her father, who was underwater, having been shot at by Andreas as soon as he saw Silva run for safety.
She gave him the water bubble and hoped it covered his face, allowing him to breathe and stay under long enough for Andreas and the other specialists to leave. She hated doing this to Riven, but this was her father. He would always come first no matter the risk.
"He's calming down." Musa spoke from behind her. "We're good."
"How long do you think you can keep him down there?" Bloom questions, standing next to her, Aisha on her other side. The four hiding behind the trees, across from where the specialist were.
"As long as I want." Calia answers. "My wind powers help give him more oxygen. They aren't going to stay for long."
And that's exactly what happened. It only took Andreas and the rest minutes before they left, probably going to the stream below to find his body. As soon as they were out of sight, Calia with her powers, brought her father up and dragged him towards the shore, where the girls all joined him.
"Dad!" Calia cried out, practically threw herself onto him, still being careful of the arrows on his back. She dug her head into his shoulder. This is the comfort she needed. Her father's loving touch was everything to her and having been deprived of it, was the worst thing to ever happen. Her father was her everything and being without him, absolutely destroyed her. She lost a part of herself when he left and she was feeling the spark ignite in her again. "Dad, I-I missed you. So much."
"My sweet girl." Saul holds his daughter like there was no tomorrow because not too long ago, he thought he would never see her ever again. "Oh, sweetheart. I love you so much."
Calia let out a small cry. "I love you more, Dad."

"This has to be the most reckless thing you have ever done." Saul scolds his daughter, Tara now healing his two wounds. Emotions were all over the place with the two Silva's. He was now angry at her for putting herself and her friends in a position like this.
"We both know that's not true." Calia rolls her eyes playfully, holding on to her father's hand tightly, scared that if she let go, he would somehow disappear. "This is nothing compared to last year or the beginning of this year."
"Yeah, she went one on one with Andreas." Musa smirks. Saul's eyes widened, scared of her next words. "Calia totally kicked his ass."
"Thanks to my amazing skills taught to me by my amazing father." Calia kisses the back of his hand. "I've adapted to my powers more. You'd be proud of me."
"I'm always proud of you." Saul brings her into his chest, kissing her head repeatedly. He never wanted to let his little girl go. She's the reason he's fought for so long. She's his reason for everything. She is his everything.
"I'm sorry to break up this." Bloom starts. "But, what do we do now?"
"Take me to Blackbridge."

They ended up in Sebastian's shop. The shop was owned by the one person that helped Saul take down Rosalind. He was the one person her father trusted to hide him. The only person. He was going to have a target on his back now. More than he ever did.
Currently, Saul sat on a couch, his arms wrapped around his daughter, the two have yet to let go of each other. He sat simply admiring his little girl, taking in everything that has changed about her in almost a year.
Her eyes were darker, deep bags under her eyes, yet she smiled like everything was okay. Her smile was still the most precious and gorgeous thing ever to him. Her hair was longer and lighter, but she was slimmer. He immediately knew that after he left, she would shut out the world and not care about anything and it showed. At least, he noticed. His little girl still held light and that was everything him.
"Precious girl." Saul mumbles, kissing her head yet again. Calia leans into him, relishing in her father's touch. "How's Sky?"
"Dealing." Calia answers. "He needs you, he just doesn't want to admit."
"He'll come around." Saul sighs, thankful that he was still in her life and she hadn't drove him away.
"When you were at the Capitol, did you hear anything about Dowling?" Bloom asks, leaning against the doorway. "We've been trying our best, but the Solarian Army, they're giving up."
Saul shakes his head. "I wish I knew where she went—."
"Most likely dead." Calia says bluntly, earning a small nudge from her father.
"We're not going to give up hope just yet." He looks over at his friend. "Sebastian here has a knack of finding things."
"Mm-hmm." Sebastian hums. "I'm, uh, I'm like a terrier. But, like, you know, cooler. Actually maybe a different dog. What dogs are cool?"
"That totally wasn't cool." Calia for the first time in a while laughs. This makes Saul's face brighten. He missed her laugh. They all chuckle in response. "Okay, but on a serious note, are we supposed to let it go and act like everything is normal?"
"No." Saul responds, eyes on his daughter, who could see the exhaustion in her father's eyes. "Because everything's...it's not normal. You both need to remember that, 'cause Rosalind and Felicity will try to wear you down, and you will forget what normal used to be like. Meanwhile, it would appear that Luna allowed Rosalind access to the Royal Archives."
"Shit." Sebastian curses.
"What is it?" Bloom frantically asks. "What's in the Royal Archives?"
"Ancient texts. Powerful relics." Calia lists. "It's everything you can think of. They're definitely working together."
"Yeah." Saul nods. "They're planning something. Something big."
"This is all my fault." Bloom scoffs. "All of it. Dowling. You. Everything that's happening at Alfea...it's all...because I was selfish and I wanted answers. If I didn't let Rosalind out—."
"It is your fault." Calia tells her, not sugarcoating anything she was about to say. I warned you and yet you still did it. You did let her out, if you would've just listened—."
"Look, somebody else would've let her out." Saul huffs, knowing how his daughter could get and right now, Bloom didn't need this. "She couldn't stay down there forever, Bloom. But you're right about one thing. Whatever she's up to, it started 17 years ago. And it started with you and you, sweet girl."
"Makes sense why Felicity is always following her like a lost puppy."
Calia and Bloom stood for a few more moments before it was time for the two girls to leave and suddenly Calia's heart ache. She didn't want to leave him. She just got him back. Everything felt okay with him.
"I don't want to leave you, Dad." Calia's eyes go watery. "I-I've missed you. I just got you back. I-I can't go."
"You have too, my sweet sweet girl." Saul brings her into his embrace. "I'm going to be okay. You're my rock. You're what kept going and I will continue to fight and I need you to do the same. Be strong and fight for me okay? I know you can do this."
"Why does this have to be so hard?" Calia felt tears slide down her face. She hugged her father as tight as she could. "I love you, Dad."
"I love you more, sweetheart." Saul mutters against her head. "I wish this could all be different."
"I wish I didn't have to let you go, right now."

When Calia got back to the school, she immediately went looking for Sky and Riven. She hasn't been in contact with them all day and knew how worried they would be. They might even kill her for not answering, but she wanted to spend every moment she could with her father.
It didn't take long to find them, they stood in the specialist training field, Sky was training as Riven sat on the floor watching him do so. This was Sky's way of blowing off steam. He was letting go of all the stress he's been holding back.
When she saw Sky was taking a breather, she decided to rush behind him and jump on his back, placing soft kisses all over cheek. Sky smiles as his hands go under her thighs holding her up. Riven jumps up, rushing towards them, ready to scold the girl. That was until, she moved onto him, wrapping her arms around the neck with her legs around his waist. His hands go to her ass, holding her up. He let her shower him in kisses, but he was still going to scold her.
"Why didn't you tell me you were going to break out your father?!" Riven asks, his voice stern yet in a whisper, knowing if anyone found out...she would no longer be here.
"Because I knew you'd be the one to stop me." Calia says innocently. "Don't be mad,
okay? I had to do this. I had to help him. He's my father and—."
"I know. I know." Riven sighs, placing her down. "You had us worried, darlin'. We thought...We thought something went wrong and you go hurt or worse."
"I'm sorry. I am." Calia apologizes, grabbing both of their hands in hers. "I just didn't want to be distracted. I wanted to spend time with him and relish the moment. You guys know how much it destroyed me not having him and finally getting him back and leaving again, hurt me even more. But he's okay and that's all that matters. I just...It's been so stressful."
"It's okay, my love." Sky runs a hand through her hair, soothing her. "We know. Trust us, we know. How about we all just relax for tonight? Star gaze a little, yeah?"
"As he tells you the story on his he almost beat Dane's ass." Riven giggles, Calia's eyes widened.
"You what?"
"He had it coming."
"It was so good. I wish I would've had popcorn for the show actually."
And just like that, everything felt okay again. Her boys always knew how to make her day. Make her smile. They were always there for her. She only wished her father could be here with them, laughing and not worrying about his life being on the line.

"Stella, you in here?" Calia calls out to her as she walked into her room. The boys behind her. She couldn't find Stella anywhere, since she didn't show up for the plan and hoped the girl would be here. She always spoke about how comfortable and safe she felt in Calia's room.
As she walked further, she heard the sound of cries and instantly, she was on high alert. She turned to the boys quickly. "Go to my room."
They did as told and as soon as they were out of sight, Calia rushes into her living area and falls to her knees when she sees Stella silently crying on the floor, knees to her chest.
"Stella, baby!" Calia was quick to bring her best friend into her chest. "What the fuck happened? Please, talk to me. Tell me what's wrong?"
Stella only cried harder, she finally had someone to hold her and care for her. She wasn't alone anymore. Calia cupped her face as gently as she could, wiping the girls tears. "Breathe for me, Stel. I need you to relax and breathe, so you can tell me what's wrong. Maybe I can fix it, I just need you to talks to me."
Stella leans into her hands as she starts to calm down. "I-I didn't mean to leave you guys. I was on my way and-and Rosalind called me..."
She falls silent. She knew what she would say would make Calia explode. More tears falls down her face. Calia wipes them. "Please...Stel. What did she do?"
"I haven't been discreet with my magic. My mother gave your mother something to stop me from using my magic..." Stella trails off. She sits up, taking her pink cardigan off and turns her back, just enough for Calia to see the pink brooch in her back. That brooch doesn't allow Stella to leave alfea or use her magic .
"No..." Calia gasps. "Who...Who put that in Stella? Was it Felicity?"
Stella remains silent again. The look in her eyes told Calia a different story. Calia kicks the flower pot next to them on the floor, successfully breaking it, causing both Sky and Riven to rush out of the room.
"What happened?
"What's going on?"
"Stay with her." Calia walks right past them and towards the door. "I'm going to have a talk with mother dearest."
"Calia, no!" Stella tries, but the door already slammed shut. She shares a look with the two boys. "I'm sorry..."
"None of this is your fault." Sky moves to
comfort her. As much as they tried, they heard every little bit.
Calia barged into her mother's room, Felicity sat up from her bed and before she could say anything, she was lifted off the bed, holding her neck as she gasped for air. Vines wrapped around her hands, stopping her from being able to retaliate.
Calia was not holding back.
"You are fucking sick." Calia says, her tone full of disgust. "Whatever chance you thought you had of being my mother again, has gone out the window. I don't understand how crazy in the head you have to be to do that to a child, but you did and I will never ever trust or forgive you again. I despise you more than ever. You are an absolute psychopath, a pathetic one at that."
Calia throws her into the walls behind her. "Stella is my best friend! The one person you should've never messed with! I don't care if it was just orders! You are a fucking puppet! You're being used and it seems like you like it. I hate you and I mean that from the bottom of my heart and soul. I hate you and nothing will ever change that!"
Calia lets her go, watching as the vines disappear before she left the room, using her magic to slam the door closed behind her. Calia was so over everything.
It was time to fight back if they wanted everything to go back to the way it was.
Without Andreas.
Without Felicity.
And more importantly, without Rosalind.
They were going down. Calia was going to make sure of it.
