It's been five years. I haven't seen Simon since, you know...things happened. I did my exams and started working for my parents in their marketing company. I know I said I became the CEO but the day I arrived, they said I needed to "earn it" like the others, so just like the other employees, I had a cubicle in a room filled with co-workers, working silently.

What shocked me the most is that Jane never knew about Simon and I, not until I showed up at her doorstep crying. Jane is currently studying Criminology in university and lives 3 hours away from me. I planned to spend some time with her for my birthday but right now I needed to focus on the object in front of me, my computer screen, filled with assignments due by the end of the day. My head was full of cobwebs as I finished my work. I printed the files and then submitted them to the Co-CEO, my mom.

Finally, my shift was over, it was currently 6pm and I drove my way home. When I arrived, I dragged my large, white suitcase from under my bed. I sorted out my underwear, shorts, skirts, shirts, swimsuits, bathroom necessities and my blanket. I then took out my matching duffle bag and packed it with a jacket and a hoodie, my laptop and chargers, Some shoes and my wallet. When I finished packing, it was 8:17pm and I placed my stuff into the car and drove off.

The drive took longer than expected since there was traffic and constant roadblocks. It took an extra hour to arrive because of it. I parked my car and stepped out, there she was.. JANE. she looked different, instead of her long black hair, she chopped it short, causing it to drop right after her shoulders and instead of her gorgeous makeup she usually wears, she had her face wiped, all natural.

"Oh my gosh, Rora" she smiled and hugged me

"Hi Jay" I said softly, still shocked by her change in appearance.

She took me inside and Placed my bags in her bedroom, she told me how excited she was for my birthday, she was updating me about her life when she received a text,

"Oh sorry, I forgot to tell you but my boyfriend is coming over to pick up something," she told me.

I just nodded. The doorbell rang, she answered and went upstairs. A tall broad-shoulder man stepped in. Something about his different coloured eyes seemed so familiar, he looked at me and his face made an expression like he knew me, but I just couldn't put my finger on it. Jane returned from upstairs and gave the man a plastic bag with something inside. Jane then spoke,

"Babe, this is my best friend Aurora, and Aurora, this is my boyfriend"

"Nice to meet you" I lend my hand out for him to shake.

He still had the 'I know you' expression on his face but he probably mistook me for someone else. He shook my hand and kissed Jane goodbye. Jane then told me how they met in a club and he funded her the house. Wow, so he's wealthy.

After a while of talking and munching on snacks. We both dressed for bed and slept. Although Jane's boyfriend bothered me. Who was he? Do I know him? Does he know me? I guess I will just have to wait to find out...
