I find Marie frantically looking all around her, trying to find Maverick. I can see him, easily, but Marie needs to do this on her own. Translucent doesn't stop blood from running through his veins... just as it doesn't make him invisible, simply translucent to light and to the average eye.

She swings a piece of metal at him, knocking him visible and unconscious and I smile smally, impressed, before turning to see if Andre's still talking to Cate... only to find her strolling down the sidewalk.

That's it. I'm done wasting time.

"Where's Andre?" I step in front of her bringing her to a stop. "Where. the hell. is. Andre?" I repeat.

She tilts her head. "Why don't you ask Sam?" She speaks so innocently.

A light laugh escapes my lips. I squeeze my fingers together, wrapping sun tendrils around her throat. "Why don't I ask you." I seethe.

Cate lets out a chuckle. "Do it, Iliana." She baits me. "I know you want to. I know they asked you to kill me. Do it." My nostril twitches. "Are you gonna give them what they want, Golden Girl?" A scream rings out and I glance over my shoulder, fuck. Jordan falls to their knees, quickly switching to their male form to protect them as one of The Woods Supes blasts them with their laser eyes. Fuck, fuck, fuck.

"What's it gonna be?" Cate asks.

"Shut up, shut up, shut the hell up!" I scream at her, tightening my hold around her as my body heats up, she lets out a grunt.

"Is your anger towards me stronger than your love for them?" She chokes out.

"I'm a great multitasker." I grit my teeth. My pulse quickens as two other Supes swarm Jordan. "Fuck you." I spit out, throwing her back I release my grasp and Cate falls to the ground, gasping for air. I wanna fucking scream.

I turn my attention to Jordan. I suck in a breathe through my nose, holding my palm out as I close my eyes for a split moment before swiftly throwing a sun ray spear across straight into the Supe blasting Jordan, giving them an opening to punch of the ones holding them down. Jordan begins choking the Supe as the other one disappears.

"Iliana!" Marie hollers, running over.

"I got it, get Cate." I tell her.

"Il, the helicopter!" Jordan yells as the Supe that disappears in and out moves towards it.

Everything falls silent. Luke. Shetty. Sam. The Woods. It can't all be for nothing. Hollywood. The Seven. Jordan. Andre. Tears. Drugs. What was it all for...

If not this?

"You're right." Marie runs up to Cate as she stands, the skin around her neck raw. "Okay?" Marie throws her hands up. "I agree. Fuck Shetty. Fuck our parents."

"Marie, they asked you to kill me." Cate says calmly. "Iliana didn't get the job done. So if you don't, what's gonna happen?"

Marie has to buy Iliana time to save the helicopter. "They'll still try to kill you." Marie answers, blocking Cate's path. "And they'll try to destroy me. And I'm sure they'll keep using Iliana." Marie shrugs.

"Then what choice do we have?" Cate asks her.

"I don't know." Marie exasperates. "I just wanted to be a hero. Someone my sister could be proud of, but I don't give a shit anymore." She speaks truthfully. "I just want to be a good person."

"But, Marie, you're not a person." Cate stresses, raising her voice. "You're a product to them. A freak. I'm trying to save you. I'm trying to save Iliana."

Marie scoffs. "Fuck you."

Iliana holds up her hand, a loop sun streams down and she lassos it around the Supe charging towards the plane. Her eyes darken as she forms another loop, letting the sun burn the Supe's skin, making him suffer for putting his hands on Jordan. The Supe screams before Iliana pulls her hands in together then apart and the sun loops rip the Supes body in half, blood turns into specks of sunlight before splattering on the helicopter window.

"Fucking Christ!" Bourke shouts.

Marie's eyes widen, damn. She'd never seen Iliana do anything like that before.

"You're the most powerful person here on this campus. Do you know that? I can't imagine how deep your talents lay beyond what you're allowed to do."

"She's one the most powerful Supe's to ever exist. She has no idea what she's truly capable of. She hasn't even begun to grasp her fullest potential."

"Marie. Her abilities are some of the rarest I've ever seen. She too doesn't understand how powerful she really is."

Marie notices one of the students from The Woods charging towards Iliana and she raises her hands up. Flashes of her cutting her hand, practicing her powers, and her sister looking at her in bathroom where she killed her parents flash through her mind. Blood raises from the spores of dead subjects of The Woods shifting into knives and with the flick of her hand she sends them into the Supe's back, exhaling sharply.

Iliana turns around, eyes falling upon the dead Supe before shifting to the blood splattered on her leg. "Keep Marie close." Victoria Neuman's words whisper in the back of Iliana's mind.

"I'm putting both in my next movie!" Bourke yells out of breath.

"Sorry about that." Marie points to Iliana's leg.

"Don't worry about it." Iliana waves her off before glancing over her should at Jordan releasing their hands from the Supe's neck and beginning to stand. She looks back at Marie who nods for her to go.

"Jordan fucking Li, don't scare me like that again." Iliana breathes out, chest tightening and untightening.

Jordan smirks, walking towards her. "You could've killed Cate."

Iliana shakes her head, in disfuckingbelief at the words coming out of her mouth right now. "Something else was more important." Something else was more important.

Iliana realizes that something else actually fucking mattered to her more than killing Cate... that her love for Jordan cut deeper, bleed stronger, than her hatred towards Cate.

Fuck.

Jordan's smile widens as they slow when suddenly Cate approaches them, frantic desperation on her face, left arm stretching out. Jordan's head rears back, shock and betrayal flashes through them. Marie gasps as rage burns in Iliana's veins and her eyes turn to slits, fading into the darkest shade of gold that grazes black.

Hello, hellooo... and welcome back to Golden Facade... in an ACTUALLY timely manner/fashion lmaooo.

We are officially down to ONE more chapter after this... dun, dun, dunnnn... yes you read that correctly, ONE!! I actually thought this was going to be the final chapter, as I didn't realize just HOW little of the episode I had left lol, but it go SO long (that's saying something too bc this is still a longer chap) that I split it in half!! AND LEFT Y'ALL ON A CLIFFHANGER OFC ;)

This chapter Iliana goes ALL THE FUCK OUT with her powerssss & HOLY SHIT have I been so fucking excited to write them for this part of the episode & y'all finally get to see why she is truly the most powerful b!tch and Supe in the game ;)

I also gave Marie her momnenttt in finding Maverickkk (since a few of her moments in the show were cut in the book lol) AND HER BADASS BLOOD SCENEEEE IS STILL HEREEEE, WHOOP, WHOOP!! I thought her doing that to help Iliana would be a nice call back to what Victoria told Ilianaaa, ahhh it's all coming together y'alllll!!!
