Jimin's pov
I couldn't believe my ears. Could it really be that Dahyun was missing? All the hate and disgust I had for Minjun vanished without a trace, leaving me with nothing but sympathy. Minjun's mother cleared her throat. Her eyes were dangerously teary as if her tears would spill over any second.
"We're going to have dinner soon, would you like to stay?" She looked at me. Her eyes piercing but fragile. "No thankyou. I'm alright. I should probably get home actually." She nodds and I wait for Minjun to drive me home since he insisted.
The drive home was silent. The faint sound of crickets chirping broke the silence. "Jimin, I'm sorry about before." Minjun's voice was shaky. I didn't reply. Instead, I just nodded my head silently.
Reaching my apartment complex, I thanked him for the ride. He got out of my car, and called an Uber for himself. I waved him 'goodbye'. The only face left in my mind was the sweet face of Dahyun. I remebered how we met on my first day. The way she smiled when Taehyung entered the cafeteria, it all came back to me.
Stepping inside my warm apartment, I was greeted with a warm embrace. A back hug. "Taehyung-ah.." I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. My hurting seemed to stop when Taehyung's voice filled the quiet room. "You're back"
I turned around pressing my hands against his chest. I pecked his lips. "Dahyun's missing". He face grew pale. His soft expression turned into a worried one. I wasn't jealous because I trusted Taehyung. I knew how much he cared about Dahyun, though.
I cupped his cheek with my palm. "We'll find her, okay?" He nidded quietly. "Let's watch movies and order take-out. I'm tired." We spooned on the couch. "Oh, I got you something." I smiled excitedly as Taehyung continued to search through Netflick. His eyes met mine expectantly.
I got up, leaving my warm place next to him on the couch to go back to the car. I felt bad realizing how cold it was outside. How could I leave the puppy there? Unlocking the car, I welcomed the small dog into my arms. He jumped into my arms as I carefully, carried him inside.
When Taehyung saw him, his face lit up like a little kid on Christmas. "Surprise!" I passed the puppy over to Taehyung gently setting him in his lap. "Do you like it?" He nodded cutely. His eyes were shiny with excitement. It made me feel good that he was happy.
"I love you." He looked me in the eyes sincerely. "I love you too." I pecked him on the cheek. "What's his name?" I thought for a moment. "He doesn't have a name yet." I frowned realizing I got him a nameless puppy.
"Hmm...how about.....Yeontan?" He asked. I nodded. He ordered Chinese takeout while we cuddled on the couch with our new puppy watching 'Back to the Future'.
Taehyung's pov
I woke up and checked the time. 4:37 am. My head felt like it had been run over by a million tanks a million times. I grimaced and left the couch making sure to cover Jimin up with the blanket. I stumbled into his kitchen not bothering to turn the light on.
I grabbed a cup and opened the fridge pouring some cold water into my glass. I downed the water in one go enjoying the feeling of the cool liquid sliding down my throat. I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath.
I knew it was useless. I wouldn't be able to sleep anymore. Sighing, I returned to the couch slipping in next to Jimin as if I had never left. I tried sleeping, but was tossing and turning nonstop. I didn't want to wake up Jimin, so I trued being as still as possible.
I tried everything, but I still wasn't able to sleep. An eerie feeling was eating at me as if it knew just how paranoid I was. I couldn't shake the guilty feeling tugging at me.
Dahyun
It was probably my fault she was missing. If I hadn't broken up with her, maybe she'd be okay right now. I would have protected her. I pulled at my own hair as beads of sweat rolled down my forehead. Where could she be?
Something inside me, told me to go to the door. I was breathing heavily feeling nervous, but proceeded to leave the peaceful Jimin anyways. I crept to the front door. I breathed deeply again before opening the door.
I was met with the silent night sky accompanied by faint chirps of crickets. A chill ran down my spine as the wind picked up. Something just didn't feel right, and I had a bad feeling it had to do with Dahyun.
Kind of a filler, but I have big plans for this story! I hope you guys ill enjoy it in tye future!
