chapter fourteen, Jasper?

NOVA AND CLARKE CONTINUE TO RIDE AROUND until the horse gave out and needed a break. Clarke and Nova stopped and tied the horse to a tree to give it a break while they sat down on logs.

"We can't stay long" Clarke says and Nova nods. "I know. We have to just give her a minute" Nova says as she pets the horse's leg. Clarke bounces her leg up and down and Nova gently places her hand on her leg.

"It's okay, we'll make it to Skaikru" Nova reassures and Clarke nods her head. Silence fills the air until Clarke clears her throat. "I heard you say that Iris killed Naira... is that true?" Clarke asks and Nova tenses up and cracks her knuckles.

"Well, Iris told me she did, and she didn't look like she was lying the slightest bit so... yeah... it's true" Nova says with a sad tight-lipped smile. "I'm just so tired... tired of losing people I love because all I think about is revenge now. I don't want to grieve I want to kill. Kill the person who killed them" Nova states and Clarke places a hand on Nova's shoulder.

"I don't know if I have ever said this to you but- I am so sorry for killing your mother. I thought I was doing the right thing. I bared the pain of killing her, so you didn't have to watch her be tortured. I wanted it to be merciful and quick, no pain" Clarke says and a tear slides down Nova's cheek, but she quickly wipes it.

"I never stopped loving you. Even after a while of hiding, I understood why you did what you did. I've never admitted but I do. I understand Clarke" Nova says looking over to Clarke who has a sad smile on her face. Clarke pulls Nova into a lovingly hug and rubs her back.

"Clarke, you may bare the pain so no one else has to but-" Nova says pulling away from the hug and cupping Clarke's face in her hands. "You don't have to bear it alone" Nova says as she pushes Clarke's hair out of her face and leans in and places a soft kiss on her lips.

Once the kiss was over, they exchanged one last hug before getting back on the horse and riding back to Skaikru lands.

While riding and getting closer and closer to Skaikru land they heard loud gunshots in the distance. "Let's leave the horse here" Clarke states as she jumps off the horse as does Nova. Nova ties the horse up and fixes her weapons belt.

"We can make the rest of the way on foot" Clarke says and Nova nods before running off behind Clarke to make it to Arkadia. Once they finally make it to Arkadia, they see a rover crash through the gate and continues driving but stops when they spot 2 people in front of it.

Nova and Clarke get a good look at the guy and notice it's... "Jasper?" Nova questions squinting her eyes.

"Nova? Clarke?" Jasper wonders in complete shock while Clarke and Nova jump in the rover.

"You don't understand I need to see Lincoln-" Clarke starts off getting in the front seat while Nova gets in the back quickly shutting the door to block the gunshots coming her way. When Nova turns around, she sees Raven laying down unconscious in the back of the rover.

"You don't understand Lincoln is dead and we will be too if you don't get in now!" Jasper shouts which grabs Nova's attention quickly and she moves up closer to the front sliding past Raven.

"What do you mean Lincoln's dead?" Nova questions eyes wide automatically wonder how's Octavia.

"That can't be" Clarke states and Jasper scoffs as he starts the river back up. "Suddenly, you don't understand what dead means?" Jasper argues and Nova looks Jasper up and down not recognizing that person, but can she blame him. It's been 3 months and people change. A lot.

"I need him to take me to Luna. He's the only one who knows her" Clarke states and Jasper hits his hand on the dashboard and looks to Clarke angrily. "Shut up! I don't care, okay? You really are the angel of death, aren't you?" Jasper shouts and Nova places a hand on Jasper's shoulder harshly.

"Watch it" Nova says and Jasper looks back cautiously before calming down and drives the river through the woods.

JASPER DRIVES THE ROVER THROUGH the woods and Clarke tries to talk to Jasper, but he ignores every time. "Look for the cave. Sinclair said it'd be around here somewhere" Jasper says without saying another word.

Nova looks at Ravens unconscious body in the back of the rover, looking at her up and down confused and wondering what's wrong with her. "What's wrong with Raven?" Nova asks and Jasper sighs.

"You'll see" Jasper mumbles as he pulls up to a cave and quickly gets out opening the back.

"Nova, help me" Jasper says and Nova nods helping Jasper carrying Raven out the rover and into the cave with Octavia, Bellamy, Kane, Sinclair, Miller and Fio. Once Nova sets Raven down, she notices Fio and a smile is now on her face.

Fio is standing and looks a lot better than the last time she saw him.

"Fio.." Nova breaths out as she rushes towards him and embraces him in a tight hug. Fio stumbles over but he catches himself and spins around once while hugging Nova then sets her down.

"Are you alright? I heard about Lincoln. I'm sorry" Nova says placing a reassuring hand on Fio's shoulder. "Blame Bellamy" Octavia says sharpening her knife while sitting on a rock and she looks different and is definitely not okay.

"What the hell happened to her?" Sinclair wonders as he kneels down by Raven. "I told you on the radio. Raven is not Raven anymore. None of them are. Jaha's been chipping everyone" Jasper says and Nova looks to Fio confused before walking closer to everyone to join the conversation.

"Jaha is using the chips to control everyone. You swallow it and it changes you. You forget who you are, and then you see this thing, ALIE. Only, she's not really there. She made Raven slit her own wrists. She was trying to get it out of her head. I was trying to help her but--" Jasper explains without barley taking a breath until Sinclair finally stops him by putting his hand up.

"Ok, so let's help her now. Did she say how?" Sinclair suggest and Jasper sighs shrugging his shoulders.

"She was working on building something. She needed one of our old wristbands, but Jaha destroyed all of them" Jasper states and Nova furrows her eyebrows. "Wait Clarke. The flame" Nova says and Clarke takes out the flame and shows it to everyone.

Raven out of nowhere runs out the cave. "Don't let her go!" Clarke shouts and Nova quickly rushes out the cave and Nova and Bellamy grab ahold of her, but she fights back while looking around.

"Hey. It's just woods. I can't see anything!" Raven screams to herself as she fights the restrain of Nova and Bellamy.

"If Raven finds out where we are, so will ALIE. She'll come for her" Jasper says as Nova drags Raven inside the cave and roughly sets her down and Jasper quickly sedates her, knocking her out cold.

"Reaper stick, last dose" Jasper says taking deep breath and throwing the last empty dose on the ground. "We have to go" Clarke suggest and Fio looks genuinely confused.

"Why? This ALIE doesn't know where we are" Fio states and Clarke sighs.

"Because I know where we can get a wristband" Clarke states and everyone glances at each other determined to help Raven out. Except Nova... who doesn't care weather Raven lives or dies in this moment.
