Summoned by Mistake - Yu taki
Demon AU – Soft Paranormal Slow Burn | Yuma x Taki
The circle was definitely wrong.
Taki knew it the second the mist curled too low, the candles flickered inward, and the faint scent of ash turned to something sadder. Something like rain on old stone.
Then the air split.
A pulse of red.
And him.
The demon stood there barefoot on the dorm rug, soot-streaked, looking like he'd just stepped out of a centuries-old nightmare. His horns curved back like shadows and his eyes were... not glowing with wrath, but with something worse:
Exhaustion.
He blinked at Taki. "You summoned me?"
Taki, still holding his beginner's grimoire upside down, froze. "Uhh. No?"
The demon sat down.
On his floor.
Cross-legged.
And sighed.
Scene 1: Naming the Demon
"You're not going to eat my soul?"
"I wouldn't know where to start."
"...Okay. That's kind of worse."
Eventually, Taki names him Yuma—because his real name is made of thunder and fire, and Yuma says he's tired of people using it like a curse.
Scene 2: Rules of the Pact
Taki, flipping pages: "So, like, I technically own you for a lunar cycle—"
Yuma: "Please don't."
Taki (blushing): "I wasn't going to make it weird!"
Yuma, softly: "Good. I'm tired of being a weapon."
Scene 3: Quiet Moments
Yuma sleeps curled in a pile of blankets like a cat, tail twitching, wings twitching more.
Taki learns he likes warm drinks, the sound of thunderstorms, and watching cartoons where nothing bad happens.
One night, Yuma reaches out and touches the edge of Taki's sleeve and asks: "Why aren't you afraid of me?"
Taki, quiet: "Because you look like someone who's been alone too long."
Scene 4: The Almost
They don't kiss.
Not yet.
But one night, when Yuma's magic slips and he's flickering between forms, shadowy and firelight both, Taki steps forward and doesn't look away.
"You don't scare me," he says.
"I should," Yuma whispers.
"But you don't."
Scene 5: The End of the Pact
The full moon comes.
The bond breaks.
And Yuma... stays.
Not because he's bound, but because he's found something soft in a world that always made him feel like a blade.
Final Scene:
Taki wakes to find a new summoning circle etched in silver ink—not to summon a demon, but to welcome one.
He steps over it and finds Yuma in the kitchen, burning toast but smiling.
"You're still here," Taki says.
"I am," Yuma says. "And I'm not going anywhere."

"Bound by Choice"
Demon AU | Yuma x Taki | Protective!Taki, Found Family Energy, Emotional Magic
It starts with the mirror cracking.
Taki notices it first—barely a hairline fracture in the glass, running like a splinter across his reflection's eye.
Then the air gets colder.
And Yuma won't stop glancing at the windows, even when they're closed.
Scene 1: The Rift Opens
They come at night.
Not in fire and brimstone, but in silk-black robes and cold smiles. Two demons. Older than Yuma. Familiar.
"Took you long enough to get soft," one sneers, curling a claw around the edge of Yuma's half-finished mug of cocoa. "The Realm wants you back."
Taki doesn't even let him finish.
He steps between them. His voice shakes, but he doesn't.
"You don't get to take him."
Yuma's eyes widen. "Taki—"
"No. You said you weren't theirs anymore. You chose to stay. That means something."
Scene 2: The Pact Remade
"You think this mortal can protect you?" the taller demon scoffs. "You were made to destroy. To command."
Taki slams down the grimoire. "And I was made to flunk math, but here we are."
He draws a new circle, not in salt or ash—but ink, pressed from the pages of every memory he and Yuma made. Warmth. Laughter. Late-night ramen.
A bond carved not in fear—but in choice.
"I won't let you take what finally feels like mine."
Scene 3: Yuma Fights Back
They force Yuma's hand.
His form cracks. Horns shimmer. Flames rise—but they don't lash out.
Instead, he reaches for Taki.
"I'm not a weapon," he growls, low and sure. "And I'm not coming back."
Together, they cast a spell—part shield, part declaration. A flare of protective magic and raw emotion.
The other demons retreat, burned by something they can't touch anymore: care.
Scene 4: Aftermath
Taki's shaking when it's over. Yuma wraps his cloak around him.
"You really would've fought them all," Yuma says quietly.
"I did," Taki mumbles into his chest. "Now shut up and hold me. You're warm."
Final Scene:
Later that night, Taki carves a sigil over the door—home.
Not for summoning.
Not for defense.
But because they're safe here.
Yuma runs his fingers over the mark. "You protected me."
Taki grins tiredly. "Get used to it."
And Yuma, once a creature of smoke and sorrow, just whispers:
"I already am."
