elaine sighed and took a sip of her drink, "he's just some guy i used to date for a few years. we still talk and are on decent terms, but i feel like he wants to be more than that..."

"well, if you don't mind me asking, why did you guys break up in the first place?" madison asked, scooting closer to the other girls.

"both of our schedules were busy and we had been doing long distance for what seemed like ages... and don't even get me started with the marissa knight situation. she was supposed to be my friend but got with nic practically days after we ended things" lainey explained.

elaine hates to admit it, but she still has feelings for the guy. nic was one of her first loves and no matter how hard she may try, those feelings will never disappear.

madelyn finished the rest of her drink and stood up, "well then fuck them both. tonight, however, we are having fun! let's go dance!"

the two other girls laughed and quickly finished their drinks before taking madelyn's hands and following her to the dance floor.

𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲. nah this chapter is actually dog shit- it'll get better lmfao. i needed a little intro in on the whole nic and marissa thing which FYI the next chapter intros marissa. she is obvs not the same actress as carlacia grant but will be playing the character of cleo. soooo don't get confused when it's a dif actress. i did this to distinguish my oc who plays cleo aside from carlacia who plays irl cleo! yes- confusing lol. i promise it'll make sense. anywho vote and comment hehe🤭
