elaine quickly turned to the blonde hair boy, "yeah? is everything good?"

"yeah, of course! i just um... if it's not too nosy i was wondering if we could talk about marissa a bit." rudy said softly, eyes still on the road.

elaine's chest tightened just at the mention of marissa. why was rudy so curious about her? did he like her? more importantly why would elaine care if he did. they're just friends... friends.

"um, sure. what do you wanna know?" she finally managed to get out.

"i just want to make sure that you're fine with her being apart of the show and all. from what you've said she's done some pretty messed up stuff. you know i'm sure we could talk to the producers and-" rudy started to ramble.

"rudy, rudy," lainey cut him off, "i'll be okay, i promise."

rudy let out a loud sigh and visibly eased into his seat. neither of them realized but he was clutching into the steering wheel.

elaine didn't know why he cared so much, but she couldn't help do admit that it made her feel loved. she and rudy had met only a mere 3 days ago but they had grown so close.

"pinky promise you're okay?" he asked as he held out his pinky.

lainey smiled as she locked pinkies with him, "pinky promise."
