NEW YORK. THE CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS. Also known as the Big Apple. New York was beautiful, but as beautiful as it was, it came with it's downfalls.
The smell of cigarettes, piss and alcohol followed you wherever you went. The large rats, that crawled over your feet. Beatrix hated it, but besides that, she genuinely loved living in New York. Kinda.
It's been a year and a half since the last Ghostface encounter, meaning a year since they left Woodsboro. The thought of leaving the only place and home she knew, scared Beatrix, but she knew it was for the best. She couldn't live in a place where she was scared to even step out of her house. She had to live and that's what New York was all about.
Living. That's what she's been trying to do. Emphasis on trying. It was hard to move on from not only your mothers death, but almost your own. How were you suppose to live when the one person who was supposed to guide you, isn't here to do that anymore?
Living is even worse when you're stuck in memories of the gruesome events that happened to you. Without Chad, Beatrix would've lost herself, a long time ago. She thanked those above for giving her Chad. They just knew she would need him.
Currently, Beatrix walks into a huge frat house, adjusting her top. Music, fills her ears and she could feel the vibration all throughout her body. The smell of weed mixed with alcohol fills her nose, practically burning her nostril hairs.
Her eyes roam all throughout the room as she moves into the house farther, she searches for her person. She hears his familiar laughter, making her eyes snap to where he was. Not too far from her, she saw Chad and Ethan, Chad's roommate and a very close friend of hers, talking and laughing.
She smiles and walks towards them, she reaches up and covers her boyfriend's eyes, giving Ethan a wink. He winks back, watching as Beatrix leans forward to whisper into Chad's ear. "What's your favorite scary movie?"
"That one movie where the guy is terrified of his girlfriend because he didn't want to match her halloween costume." Chad answers, Beatrix and Ethan let out a laugh.
"Good movie." Beatrix says as she removes her hands from his eyes.
Chad turns to her, his arms take their rightful place around her waist, he looks her over, a wide smile on his lips. "You matched me!"
"We had to do a couple's costume somehow and since you hated my Wednesday idea. I decided to be your cowgirl." Beatrix wraps her arms around his neck.
"Every cowboy does need their cowgirl by their side." Chad gives a small shrug, the smile never leaving his face.
"I figured." Beatrix smiles back, before leaning up and planting a kiss on his lips. Beatrix pulls away from Chad and looks over at Ethan, she nudges him. "I love the costume."
"You better, you helped me make it." Ethan nudges her back.
"And I did an amazing job." Beatrix applauds herself, she looks to Chad. "Don't you think, babe?"
"You're amazing at everything you do." Chad retorts, reaching towards her and bringing her into his chest.
"That's my cue to go." Ethan salutes them before walking off.
"Bye!" Beatrix waves at him, turning in Chad's arms, so that she could look him in the eye. "You look so handsome."
"And you look beautiful." Chad let's his hands roam up and down her sides. He leans his forehead against hers. "So, beautiful."
Beatrix places her hands on his abs as she pulls him into a kiss. Beatrix quickly breaks it and drags Chad over to the dance floor. Chad was going to protest until Beatrix started dancing, hating the eyes on her, he follows in pursuit, Beatrix laughing as she moves closer to him, now dancing on him.
Beatrix loved the way Chad's hands felt on her body. It felt like sparks, with each touch, she would become more alive. It was such a great feeling to feel. She wanted to feel that for the rest of her life.
The couple were quickly interrupted by Anika, Mindy's sort of lover. She gets in between the two and looks at both of them. "You two are needed."
Chad takes Beatrix's hand in hers, the two follow Anika towards the entrance and she didn't even need to explain. Just the sight of Tara with Frankie, said it all. Chad let's go of her hands and crosses his arms over his chest, calling out to Frankie. "Hey, partner."
"Tara's good down here." Beatrix finishes for him.
"Sorry, princess." Frankie smirks, placing a cupped hand over his ear. "I didn't quite catch that."
Chad clenches his jaw, moving Beatrix behind him. He lets out a fake laugh. "Yeah, you did."
"No, guys." Tara stomps down towards them, clearly drunk. "It's fine. I want to."
Beatrix moves and takes a hold of Tara's arm. "You can't make decisions for yourself right now, not like this."
"She's fine." Frankie pushes Beatrix back, making her fall into Ethan, who steady hears, he grabs Tara, harshly. That was it for Chad.
"Don't fucking touch my girlfriend." Chad goes up a step and grabs Frankie from behind, pulling him down and throwing him into the wall behind them. All eyes were now on them.
"Get the fuck off me." Frankie pushes Chad back.
"Chad!" Beatrix goes to walk toward him, but Ethan holds her, shaking his head.
"That's a bad idea. Chad wouldn't want you to get involved. I don't either." Ethan tells her.
"Ethan, please." Beatrix gives him a look, Ethan sighs and lets her go. Beatrix sighs and rushes towards the two, she pulls out a taser from her boot and tases Frankie on the side, making him let out a loud groan as he drops to the floor. The house goes silent.
"Never fucking try to take advantage of a female ever again." Chad bends down and picks Frankie up. "And never place your hands on my girlfriend again or even fucking look at her! You got that?!"
Frankie only nods, Chad goes to repeat himself, but he was interrupted by Sam, who appears out of nowhere. She could see the heated look on her sisters face. She grabs Chad and pulls him back, she shared a look with Tara as she moves to put her taser back.
Sam moves towards Frankie and knees him in the balls. He grunts on the floor, as she looks down at him. "Don't ever touch either of my sisters again."
"Fuck you!" Frankie curses at her.
"Sam." Tara grabs her attention. "Are you fucking kidding me?"
"Are you following us now?" Beatrix asks.
Beatrix grabs Chad's hand before following Tara out of the house. She could hear people whispering about her and Sam. She scoffs as she walks faster out the house. She hated the eyes on her, maybe tasing Frankie wasn't the way to go.
The group now walked the streets of New York. They listened to Sam and Tara argue, she may not have drunk, but she had a headache. Tonight was supposed to be a good night, but it turned out to be the exact opposite.
"If I want to hook up with an asshole, that's my decision!" Tara exclaims as they all
come to a stop. "It's my decision!"
"Tara, don't you get it?" Beatrix let's go of Chad's hand and moves towards them. "It's not your fucking decision! Not now! You're drunk! He was going to take advantage of you, you would've woken up clueless and regretful! That can ruin you! He knew what he was doing, you didn't! I get that you're mad at Sam, but at least be mad at her for the right reason!"
Tara stays quiet, not knowing what to say. Beatrix hasn't went off on anyone in a long time, they knew she meant every word that came out of her mouth. Beatrix never took sides. The two knew that. Tara looks back to Sam. "It's not about you! You're out of my life for five years, and then you can't leave me alone for five minutes. Beatrix either! You just found out she was your sister and won't let her be."
"You two aren't dealing with what happened!" Sam looks between her two sisters. "You two haven't even gone to see a counselor."
"Here we go." Beatrix takes her hat off, running a shaky hand through her hair.
"I'm uninterested in living in the past like you are!" Tara shouts.
"And I have too many problems, a counselor won't be able to fix. It's clear it's not working for you, so why would it work for us?" Beatrix question, sighs. She looks to Tara. "And you need to watch how you say things, because all are trauma's are different. You don't have to live with the fact that you're constantly disgustingly talked about in social media, we do!"
Beatrix looks at everyone before she storms off. She couldn't take anymore stress than she was feeling. It drained her and she hated the feeling of her heart dropping constantly. It hurt her. It made her feel less sane.
Chad follows after the girl, the others watching the two walk off. Chad moves and wraps an arm around her shoulders, Beatrix immediately leans into his side, allowing Chad to press a kiss to her forehead, her body relaxing.

Beatrix that night, found herself in her own small apartment. She was happy that she didn't have to live with Tara and Sam, she would've probably killed herself if it came to that.
The one thing Dewey did right was help her pay for the rent of her apartment. It was mostly with the money her mother left her, but he also helped with the appliances and school. The two have never spoken, he called Sam through all of it. She didn't care though, not anymore.
Beatrix sat on her bed, she had on just a sports bra and and shorts that belonged to Chad. Speaking of the devil, Chad comes into the room with water and a bottle of painkillers, for her head.
He takes out two and passes them to her, Beatrix swallows them down with water. Chad takes the cup and places it on her nightstand before sitting down next to her on the bed. Chad reaches forward and moves a piece of stray hair behind his girlfriend's ear.
"I'm okay, Chad." Beatrix tells him, leaning into his touch. "I got what I needed out. I can't back track."
"I know you're okay." Chad rubs his thumb back and forth against his cheek. "I was just going to say I love you. So much. You know you always got me, right?"
"I know." Beatrix gives him a small smile, she leans forward and places a soft kiss on his lips. "I love you so much more."
"That's a lie." Chad scoffs, pecking her lips again. Beatrix chuckles as Chad tackles her back onto the bed. He moves her to straddle him. Beatrix lays against his chest, listening to his heartbeat. Chad plays with a piece of her hair. The two would always be content if they had the other person by their side.
"You ever think about what it'll be like if we brought our own kids into this world?" Beatrix asks Chad, her finger tracing over one of his scars.
"Why? You want to start making some?" Chad jokes, letting out a laugh.
"I'm being serious!" Beatrix pinches him, chuckling. "We'd probably need to make ourselves invisible, right?"
"That's if Ghostface comes back." Chad states, running a hand through her hair. "But no matter what, I'm protecting you and if we have kids, I'm protecting them too. No one is going to hurt you. I promise you that."
"Love a man that keeps his word." Beatrix looks up at him, before kissing all over his face. Chad letting out a laugh.
