( HER EMOTIONS ARE
THE LOUDEST WHEN
SHE'S SILENT. )

BEATRIX'S HEART BEAT IS CURRENTLY beating faster than ever before. Her hands were shaking so bad that Stacey had to force her to put them in her pockets so she was able to maintain herself a little better.

She sat in her mother's car, looking out the window as tears streamed down her face. She watches as the medics bring out Wes's body on a stretcher, his mother just passing by moments before, also on a stretcher.

The two were dead. A couple nights before she almost lost Tara and her own life, now she had lost one of her closest friends since young and she didn't even know how to process such a thing.

Her and Wes were all over the place when it came to another, but when they needed each other, they were there for one another. Her friend died and it was because of her. It was all her fault...because of her last name.

She sat up when she saw Sam rushing towards the house, only to be stopped by the officer. Her face drops, as she breathes heavily. Ignoring her mother and Dewey's protests, Beatrix, rushes towards Sam.

"Sam!" Beatrix calls her name, wiping tears off her face.

Sam turns, bringing the girl into her chest, letting out a relieved sigh. Beatrix hides her face into her chest. Sam whispers sweet words to her. "It's okay. You're okay. Just breathe and relax."

"Wes...Wes is dead, Sam." Beatrix whispers to her, clinging to her. Sam holding her, not knowing what exactly to say in the moment.

They stood like that for a couple moments, Stacey and Dewey watching the two girls embrace each other. It was clear they both needed each others comfort in the moment. They two had so many emotions running wild.

"When are you going to tell her that her father is—."

"When the time is right." Stacey cuts Dewey off, not letting him say the name she dreaded to hear.

"The time isn't right?!" Dewey exclaims, taking his eyes off his niece. "That girl is already starting to suffer. Ghostface is coming after her and it isn't just because of the Macher last name, you know that? That thing knows—."

"I know, Dewey."

"Do you? Because keeping something like this from her is only going to hurt her more. She doesn't know why this guy or girl is coming after her, all she knows is that her life is on the line and so are her friends. She already lost one. How many is she going to lose before you tell her?"

Stacey looks down at her hands that were tightly wrapped around the steering wheel. She looks up at Dewey. "I'm going to tell her, okay?! I don't want her to stay out of the loop. She-She doesn't deserve that. I just—I don't want her to turn out like me, being related to them ruined me."

"But at least you knew and you weren't left to wonder..."

Beatrix takes her now sweaty hands, out from around Sam and turns when she hears footsteps approaching, Sam quickly putting her behind herself, also hearing the footsteps.

"Excuse me." The soft, yet familiar voice spoke.

"Oh my god." Sam gasps. "You're..."

"Gale." Beatrix looks up at her in shock, her slightly red eyes shocked. "You're-You're—."

"I'm back." Gale smiles at the girl, opening her arms. "Hug?"

Beatrix gave her a hot look. She didn't like the woman for what she did to her Uncle, but this woman was a role model to her when she was younger, that she would never deny.

"Of course you know her." Sam mumbles as Gale puts her arms down, going back to her side.

"Are you guys okay?" She looks between them. "You guys seem like you're having a bit of a moment. Did you know the Sheriff?"

"Sort of. She didn't like me very much."

"Her son was one of my closest friends."

"Oh, hun." Gale moves forward to rub her arm and this time Beatrix let's her.

"I'm Samantha. Sam Carpenter." Sam introduced herself. "Me, my sister and Beatrix were all attacked."

"Jesus." Gale gives her a sympathetic look before looking at Beatrix. "Are you okay?"

"Fine. We're both just fine." Beatrix lies through her teeth. "Look, my mom is over there if you want to talk to her."

"Is Riley—."

"They're together. Watching over me and all." Beatrix finishes for her, shrugging her hand off. "Go."

"Excuse me." Gale tells them before running off.

"You just know everyone from the original's." Sam glances at the girl.

Beatrix shrugs, not verbally responding anymore. Her tolerance for talking was no longer there. She was exhausted and worn out. The thought of losing yet another person, haunting her mind. Sam excused herself, going to call Richie.

"Come on." Sam grabs Beatrix's arm, making her flinch, but nevertheless allows the Carpenter to drag her with her.

She rushes towards a group of cops. In the group of cops was one of the cops that was assigned to watch Tara, meaning right now the girl was on her own.

Beatrix felt her hands get cold, staring at the cops as Sam spoke. "Who's at the hospital?"

"Who's watching Tara?!" Beatrix snaps, the cop hesitating to speak.

"I-I just heard about the Sheriff." He tries, but Sam scoffs as Beatrix starts to panic. The memory of Tara almost dead in her kitchen filling her head.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?!" Beatrix shouts, her eyes meet with her Uncle's. "Tell mom we had to go."

"No! Don't—."

It was too late, the two girls had run off to Sam's car. Ignoring both Dewey and the cop's words, that were coming out of their mouths. Beatrix removes her hand from Sam's, rushing towards the passenger's seat.

The Macher's light brown hazel eyes, meet her mothers green ones. She was next now to Dewey, the two watching the girls buckling into their seats. Stacey cursed at herself for deciding to stay in the same place she herself had almost lost her life.

Beatrix's eyes widen when she sees Dewey and Stacey running in their direction. She taps Sam's shoulder and points to the two adults, who were now closer to the car. Dewey opening the door for Stacey, allowing her to get into the back seat before he did.

"Mom, Dewey, don't try to—."

"Drive!" The two cut her off. Sam didn't have to be told twice.

"I know I can't stop you from stepping foot into that hospital..." Stacey starts, leaning forward to meet her daughters gaze. "But promise me that no matter what you will stay by us and allow us to deal with this-this thing. You and Sam will worry about Tara and Tara only."

"Mom..." Beatrix says under her breath. "I don't know. I-I can't. I'm your daughter and niece, I have a right to protect you too."

"Your life comes before ours!" Stacey grabs her hand. "It always will, so promise me."

"Uncle Dewey, tell her—."

"Promise her, kid." Dewey gives her a pleading look. "Please."

Beatrix felt her eyes water, she lets go of her mothers hand. Her eyes going to the world behind her window. She nods slowly, whispering. "I promise."
