Old Age
FLASHBACK-- JAZZ CLUB, 1919
Rebekah and Marcel walk into the Jazz Club and approach the bar together as Elijah and Klaus watch from a nearby table.
" Look at these two pretending to be apart while so clearly a pair." Klaus stands up, but Elijah puts his hand on his arm to stop him from making a scene.
" Niklaus, not now. Why must you cause trouble?" Klaus shrugs out of his grip and grabs two glasses off of the table.
He clinks them together to get everyone's attention before raising his hand to gesture to the band to stop playing for a moment. " I'd like to take this opportunity to draw attention to two people who have been sneaking around behind my back together. As we move into a new era, we require more progressive attitudes to match. So, to my loving sister and my right-hand man and best friend Marcel, may they find joy in each other."
Everyone drinks. Marcel and Rebekah are equally startled by Klaus speech.
" Enough talk...Music!" The band starts again and everyone returns to their party as Klaus approaches Rebekah at the bar.
" Over the years, I've thwarted your loves simply to protect you. I knew if we had to run again, your heart would be broken, but we don't have to run anymore. We've found a home." Klaus kisses her cheek. " Be happy, my sister."
END FLASHBACK
Klaus turns his head slowly to look at his daughter in the present day. " I'd let my guard down and given in to happiness-- more fool, I. But ever since I got you back, you've been my one and only happiness and it's gonna start like that."
" Until that baby is born. Then you have the both of us." Aliza smiles softly helping her dad sit up in bed and button up his shirt.
Klaus smiles back softly taking over and buttoning his shirt. " Turns out, they'd already betrayed me, and brought to town the one thing I'd been running from for centuries... my father."
" I know, remember. He's sadly my grandfather." Aliza raises an eyebrow.
" I know." Klaus laughs and lays back down.
" Elijah implied Rebekah and Marcel could be anywhere in the world by now. Do you think so? Because I don't." Aliza
Klaus nods. " Yeah, I'm not so sure about that either."

FLASHBACK-- JAZZ CLUB, 1919
Marcel and Rebekah are sitting together at a table, holding hands and generally looking content.
" Can you believe we're sitting out here in the open bold as brass?" Rebekah looks up at Marcel.
Marcel smiles down at his lover. " No. Ah, it feels like heaven."
" You know, it's been over six months since Genevieve summoned my father, and nothing. Her spell must have failed." Rebekah shrugs.
" Hey, if so, we dodged a bullet." Marcel smiles, and they kiss.
" Right." Rebekah nods with a smile. " I am off to speak at the Women's Temperance Society meeting to make sure the wives of this city urge their husbands not to drink."
Marcel laughs. " Aren't you all in the booze biz now?"
" Yes, but the more one tells you you can't have something, the more you crave it at all costs." She kisses him again. Marcel laughs as she heads for the door. A gentlemen at the bar watches her go.
It is Mikeal...

Marcel and Rebekah are sitting in Rebekah's car at a crossroads, considering their options for leaving town before Klaus and her other two brothers long with her niece will find them.
" They'll chase us to the ends of the earth, and they'll find us. No one can hide forever, especially not from a couple of angry Mikaelsons." Rebekah crosses her arms over her chest.
Marcel nods. " Then we go through with the plan. There's only one way that we'll truly be able to hide from Klaus and the others forever."
Back at the compound
" They'll need a cloaking spell, and for that—."
" They'll need a witch." Aliza cuts her father off who nods.
At the fork in the road, Marcel and Rebekah are still talking in her car.
" Davina is our one shot. If we go back and get her-"
" It's a suicide mission." Rebekah shakes her head.
" It's our only hope. We resurrect her, take her with us, and get out of town. Then, she can hide us from Klaus and the others, so they'll never find us." Marcel explains.
" We don't even know the right witch to kill to bring her back." Rebekah shakes her head. " And she'll be in their side. She has Jeremy, Kol and Aliza."
" Then we'll kill them all." Marcel tries.
Rebekah looks at him skeptically. " Just kill the three witches that brought the mighty Klaus Mikaelson to his knees, no big deal."
Marcel glares at her slightly. " Look. Unless you want to spend eternity looking over your shoulder, there's only one thing that we can do."
At the compound, Klaus smiles as he continues talking to his daughter about Marcel and Rebekah.
" There's only one place they can go..." Klaus trails off.
At the fork in the road, Rebekah leans her head back into the seat of the car as her eyes fill with tears. She sighs as Marcel turns the car around so they can head back toward the city.
Klaus continues to smirk at Aliza who smirks back when he realizes he can catch Marcel and Rebekah.
" Home."
" Aren't you clever." Aliza teases. Klaus chuckles rolling his eyes playfully.

Rebekah and Marcel meet with Thierry at his warehouse.
" Papa Tunde is dead. That leaves Sabine, Bastianna, and Genevieve." Rebekah lists off.
" We want to kill them all, and as soon as Davina rises, we take her with us." Marcel quickly glances at Rebekah.
" I told you already. She won't be on our side." Rebekah tells him sternly. Thierry glances at the as he pours himself and Marcel a drink.
" Look." Rebekah continues. " We have one shot at this, and I know our chances of success are sweet bugger all, but we've got to do it. So please, one stray dog to another, help us."
" Not many go up against those odds and live to tell the story. Have you?" Thierry hands Marcel a drink.
" I'm still standing here, aren't I? I've gone up against the worst of them all." Marcel takes a long sip of his drink.
FLASHBACK-- JAZZ CLUB, 1919
Mikael is drinking at the bar alone when Marcel approaches his side to order himself a drink. " I'll take another"
" You're a lucky man." Marcel turns to face him, but doesn't recognize him. Mikeal glances at him again. " Men search the world over for a woman like her."
Marcel smirks slightly. " Well, she's taken, friend."
" Oh, I can see that." Mikeal laughs hiding back his disgust. " It's just that she reminds me so much of my departed wife as a girl. See, I've been traveling for such a long time that it's a blessing to see a familiar soul so far from home."
" I'm sorry for your loss. Here's to old faces in new places." They toast their glasses together and drink.
" I've been in New Orleans for a day, and I find it to be quite surprising. Had I known of its charm and fascinating denizens, I would have come ages ago. Don't suppose I have to thank you for extending this invitation." Mikeal starts to stand.
" Who are you?" Marcel questions starting to stand.
" Oh, you're a smart man. I think you know." Mikeal reaches into his pocket and hands him the photograph of Klaus that Genevive had sent him him. " I'm an intelligent man myself." He starts to compel Marcel. " So, have a seat." Marcel immediately sits next to him.
Mikeal smirks. " Let me tell you what I learned about you this afternoon, Marcel Gerard. You chafe under the control of my son Niklaus and would do just about anything to get rid if him, even call the one man on this earth who hates him more than you do. But, I couldn't understand what you hoped to gain. Rule of this city? Well, as I said, New Orleans has its charms, but to call me, the one they call the Destroyer, the one who's burnt cities far more charming to the ground in pursuit of his children. But now I see. You did it for love, the love of my daughter...or maybe you're adoptive mother."
" Don't you dare touch either of them!" Marcel grips the bar and glares at him threateningly.
" Mmm, so I'm going to make you a promise. I won't hurt Rebekah or you're mother. Truth be told, she was always my favorite and you're mother always kept Klaus in place. And this city, you can have it. But first, you must tell me where to find my son."
END FLASHBACK
Klaus sits up and attempts to get out of bed, but he is too weak. He nearly falls, but Aliza catches him
" Ugh." Klaus groans.
" You're still weak, dad." Aliza rolls her eyes at him.
" I'm still hungry. There's a fresh blood supply in the kitchen." Klaus tries to move but Aliza pushes him back down.
" You won't make it that far. So be good and lay back down." Aliza demands.
" I'm the parent here not you, you know." Klaus raises an eyebrow at her.
Aliza chuckles. " We both know it's always been the opposite."
Klaus goes to protest, but stops and shrugs. " True."
" Exactly, so lay down and I'll get you a blood bag. I don't want you to feel like the old age is getting to you." Aliza teases before walking out to get him a blood bag. Klaus smiles watching his daughter leave the room.
It was an honor to be a father to someone to special...
