Everyone sat around Eleven while she explained to them what had happened in Delilah's memories. Fireworks from the fair roared as they flew to the sky and exploded with bursting colours.

"She said he was building something, that it was all for me." Eleven said quietly, fresh tears still on her face.

"Building something... is she talking about the flayed." Max said curiously

"She must be"

"So, he's building and army, just like we thought" Lucas said as he paced around behind the couch.

"Yeah, but he's not building this army to spread" Mike started.

"He's building it to stop Eleven." Will continued

"Last year, El closed the gate on him. I have a feeling that really pissed him off." Mike explained

"Like royally" Lucas inputed

"And the Mind Flayer now knows that she's the only thing that can stop him, but if she's out of the way-"

"Game over" Alex interrupted

"She also said he was gonna kill all of you" Eleven murmured as she looked at the others

"Yeah, we'll that's nice"

"Ok, so we just need to kill the Mind Flayer again, and properly this time." Nancy shrugged with too much confidence. El shook her head as more tears rolled down her face, remembering what the Mind Flayer had told her.

"W-we can't, we can't kill him" Eleven sobbed, Mike rushed to her side to comfort her some more.

"Why, why can't we kill him, I think we're capable." Alex said while he leaned on the couch. Eleven continued to shake her head as she cried.

"We can't, Delilah she... she-" a faint screeching could be heard outside.

"I'll go check that out" Alex said, he left the cabin and went outside to check out the noise.

"It's probably just the fireworks" Jonathan sighed

"Delilah... when she told you this, she was here, in this room?" Nancy asked Eleven. The girl nodded. The noise continued as everyone stood silent. Will reached up to his neck as the same feeling came back. Goosebumps covered his neck.

"He knows we're here" Will informed. The door slammed open to reveal a panicked and scared Alex Alvarez.

"You guys need to see this" He quickly said. They all quickly exited the house and looked at the forest that surrounded them. What looked like to be a fleshy spider was quickly knocking down trees, heading their way. They all stared in horror as it neared quicker and quicker.

They all quickly boarded up the house. Nancy held a gun and and Jonathan had an axe. They both put a couch up against the final door.

"Hey get away from the windows" Nancy said to the kids. They all huddled into a circle, waiting for the monster to attack. The house was full of silence, the only that could be heard was a lamp squeaking and their breaths as they all panted. The lights started to flicker as the stuff in the house rattled.

"It's close" Will muttered, they continued to look around them as the leaves outside rustled. Glass fell from shelves and then the rumbling stopped.

"Where'd it go?" Max wondered out loud

All of a sudden a arm-like claw bursted through the wall. It tried to go for Eleven but before it could, Jonathan had hit it with an axe. He hit it a second time slicing through it more. Blood spattered everywhere as the arm shook violently. He tried to hit for a third time but the monster had thrown him across the room.

The flesh arm moved towards Jonathan who was now on the floor, staring at it in horror. Nancy started to shoot the arm, she quickly ran out of bullets. The arm roared as Nancy stared terrified. The arm zoomed towards the brunette while she backed up against the wall.

Before it could claw Nancy's face off, the arm stopped in mid air. It shrieked in pain, Eleven's arm was stretched out as she glared at the flesh. She cut off the arm in a quick motion and a flick of her wrist.

The arm retracted back to the wall it came from, where a hole was now placed.

"Holy shit" Max and Alex chorused before another arm broke through the wall, heading straight for Eleven who was in the middle of the room. She quickly rose her hand, stopping the arm from attacking her.

Another one broke through a window on El's other side. She quickly stopped that one too. She panted as she stared at both of them in surprise.

She thrusted her arms together, ripping off both of the claw heads from the arms. Out of no where, another arm bursted through the roof above. It grabbed her by the leg, quickly lifting her up from the ground.

Mike ran towards her and hurriedly grabbed her by the arms, fighting with the monster to get her back. Eleven screamed and yelled as the claws but through her soft skin, piercing her flesh. The face of the monster could be seen through the new hole in the roof. It was absolutely terrifying, it had sharp teeth the layered the outside and the inside.

"Pull"

Everyone but Nancy and Lucas helped Mike with getting Eleven. Nancy quickly added bullets into her gun.

"Nancy shoot it" Jonathan yelled. The woman quickly shit at the monster face while it retracted the arm back into its mouth, bringing El with it.

"Lucas come on" Alex yelled as he tried to pull Eleven away from the monster. Lucas grabbed the ace that Jonathan dropped a few minutes prior. He started to hack at the arm, blood flew everywhere as Nancy shot at the flesh.

With one final swing, The fleshy arm broke and Eleven was saved. They all fell backwards, El fell on top of Mike while she sobbed.

"El! El, you ok" Mike asked, the girl nodded but she definitely wasn't ok. Mike looked down at the piece of flesh that was still connected to Eleven. He swiftly ripped the arm from her leg as she screamed from the pain. The arm rapidly crawled out.

The monster snarled as it and Eleven had a staring contest. Eleven stood up, blood dripped from her leg where her wound was. The monster roared as tentacles came out of its mouth. Eleven lifted her arms and yelled as she tore it face apart. The fell back into Max who was behind her, tiredness enveloped her.

"Go, go, go"
"Come on, come on, go"
"Go!"
"Hurry up! Come on"
"Everybody out" They all yelled as they ran out of the house while the monster was hurt and distracted. They all hopped into Nancy's car.

"Drive! Drive!" Mike yelled at his sister, she quickly started the engine and drove away while the monster wailed and thrashed with it head completely cut in half.

They arrived at Bradley's big guys. They all hurriedly rushed out of the car while Eleven groaned and winced. Alex grabbed a huge rock from the ground and threw it at the window completely breaking it. Nancy stepped through first and walked towards the health care aisle. Mike and Max who were supporting El followed behind with the rest behind them. Nancy grabbed a bottle of Rubbing alcohol and some gauze.

"Ok, get her down." Navy told the teens. Max and Mike softly put her against the shelves as she groaned in pain.

"Ok let me see" Nancy lifted up the girls leg revealing deep bites in her leg. Blood oozed out with the rest of her leg covered in blood. Alex gagged while he covered his mouth and looked away in disgust.

"Oh shit" Max cursed as the others also groaned in disgust. Nancy prepared to pour the rubbing alcohol over the wound but Max had stopped before she could even open the bottle.

"What- what- hey, what are you doing?"

"I'm cleaning the wound" Nancy explained

"No, first we need to stop the bleeding, then clean, then disinfect, then bandage" Max told her. Nancy stared at her in disbelief, confusion plastered across her face.

"I skateboard, trust me" Max ensured after noticing all the weird glances and stares she was receiving.

"Mike, hold this" Max took Mike's arm and put it on a gauze that covered El's wounds. The subject groaned in pain as pressure was applied.

"Keep the pressure on it nice and firm, ok. We're gonna need water, soap" Max said as she looked at Mike then the adult couple.

"Yeah, ok"
"All right" they both said and went to look around the store for the listed items. Lucas quickly took his backpack off of him and spilled the contents onto the tiled floor, making lots of noise.

"Does any of this help" Lucas asked as he pointed to the stuff on the ground. Max stared at him like he was crazy.

"No, go get me a washcloth and a bowl." Max demanded

"A bowl?"

"Lucas" Max said sternly. Will tapped Lucas, signalling that they should go get what she asked for.

"Go"

"O-ok ok" Lucas nodded and him, Will and Alex went to go find the items.

"Bowl... bowl... bowl, why wouldn't it be with the cereal" Alex complained as him, Will and Lucas looked for a bowl after they had found a yellow washcloth.

"I don't know" Will muttered from behind them.

"What else do you use a bowl for?" Lucas complained with the Cuban.

"I- I don't know" Will stuttered. Before the two boys could complain some more, they stopped in front a table that held fireworks.

"Oh shit" the boys stared in awe as a purple hue glowed from a light behind it. The stand was covered in red, white and blue for Independence Day. They looked at each other before running to the stand and checked out the fireworks.

"Satan's baby, you ever shot one of these suckers" Lucas asked as he looked at Alex and Will.

"No, is it sweet" Will said obliviously

"That's an understatement" Alex smiled as he took the box of fireworks from Lucas and looked at it in awe.

"That doesn't look like a bowl" Max walked towards the boys with a stern face.

"Nah, it's way better. There is a reason this warning label says 18 or older." Alex said

"This sucker is filled with 150 grains of black powder, AKA gunpowder" Lucas explained before Alex threw the red and yellow box at Max so she could check it out.

"Strap two of these together, and it's bigger that an M-80" Alex smiled

"Five of them, we've got ourselves a stick of dynamite" Lucas smirked beside Alex

"You wanna kill that thing with fireworks"

"Do you have better idea"

"Uh yeah, Eleven" Max said before she threw the box back at Alex with anger.

"Against that thing? She's gonna need some backup"
"And we can't just keep using Eleven, I mean look at her, she can't even stand without help." Alex said. Max muttered an 'oh my god' and walked away from the three teen boys.

"Hold this" Alex said to Will before him and Lucas began to stack a bunch of fire works in his arms.

The hum of the freezers filled the silence. Mike had gotten a distorted message from Dustin and they needed El to find him so they knew what was happening with him an American flag covered Eleven's face as she searched for the boy, blood dripping down her nose.

A crack and click of a can was heard, everyone looked towards the source of the noise to find Lucas with a can of new coke.

"Quiet" Max whispered

"Oh, sorry" Lucas said before he took a quiet sip from the can.

"How do you even drink that" Alex said in disbelief. He sat on a freezer shelf next to Mike and Will.

"Because it's delicious" Lucas said like it was obvious.

"What" Max and Alex said in disbelief while the others stared in confusion.

"It's like Carpenter's The thing. The original is a classic, no question about it. But the remake..." Lucas smirked before he took a long sip from his can creating a very loud slurping noise. He even took a step further and put his pinky up. He smacked his lips for dramatic effect.

"Sweeter, bolder... better" he dramatically sighed

"Estas loco" Alex muttered in Spanish as he shook his head in disappointment.

"So, you prefer the original thing" Lucas said, understanding the little Spanish that the Ramirez boy had spoke.

"What? No I'm not talking about The Thing, I'm talking about New Coke"

"It's the same concept dude."

"Uh actually it's not the same concept"

"No it's not"

"Yes it is" Lucas yelled

"Hey" Eleven tore off the bandana and looked at the two boys with a glare.

"Sorry"
"Sorry" they both apologized

"Did you... find him" Mike asked awkwardly

"The movies? Dustin's so freaked out about the gate he decides to go to the movie? Yeah makes total sense" Lucas said as he rolled the cart full of fireworks to the front of the store. Alex was sitting amongst the fireworks, often shifting uncomfortably from one poking him sharply.

"You're positive he said 'gate' and not 'great' " Max said still not believing what Eleven had informed them like Lucas.

"Yeah like 'This movie I'm watching is great' " Will gave an small example of what Dustin could of said

"Sounded like gate" El simply said

"Which would explain how the Mind Flayer's still alive"

"Yeah we just have to shut it again"

"Then the monster dies" Eleven shifted uncomfortably at the mention of killing the MindFlayer. What Delilah had told her replayed in her mind.

"But if not we always have Lucas and Alex's fireworks" Max said sarcastically, still not liking their idea

"Keep mocking our plan Max, keep mocking it, I wanna hear you it again, because you keep doubting me, you keep doubting me!" Lucas said with confidence

"Ridiculous"

"Alex, we're gonna prove 'em wrong right?" Lucas stared as Alex hopped out of the cart once they neared the car.

"Definitely bro"
