𝟬𝟴. ❛ UNIVERSAL TRIP ❜

𝟬𝟴. ❛ UNIVERSAL TRIP ❜

𝓣HE group of teenagers got dressed while Clara did a few tweaks to her hair and makeup. She finished in little to no time. They were all eventually dressed and put together for their trip to Universal.

They had never been. Plus, they knew people would want to take pictures with them so they tried their best to look as presentable as they could.

Clara luckily was able to get her own apartment paid for by MCA Records. The boys shared one and they all lived right across the hall from her.

They had everything set up for them before hand and Clara was ecstatic because like she had requested, everything in her apartment was pink.

Standing in the mirror, Clara smiled at the style she had put in her hair, knowing it was different. The girl reached for her necklace, trying to put it on and failing miserably. She sighed, turning away only to see Bobby standing there with a humorous smile.

"You've been standing right there watching me struggle instead of offering to help?" The brown skinned girl questioned, raising a brow.

"What's the fun in that? I wanted to see how long you would try before asking someone to help you put it on. You're always so independent." Bobby mocked the girl as he let out a laugh at his statement.

Clara bit her lip in order to hold back a remark. She knew he was right. She never asked for help and if she did it was because she had no options left.

"Well, can you help me put it on, please?" The girl put her hands down, offering the necklace to Bobby. He took it and nodded, moving to stand behind her and helping her put the jewelry on.

He lifted Clara's long hair, noticing a few purple marks on her neck. His mind raced, wondering who could've given her so many hickeys.

The younger boy knew he had no right to be jealous. It wasn't his place. He slept with girls all the time but they just weren't her.

"There you go. You look good, by the way." Bobby felt his knees go weak at his thoughts. The smile she sent his way didn't make it any better. So she doesn't know about them? Bobby thought.

"Thanks, B. You clean up nice, too." Clara grinned, staring in the mirror at the necklace Ronnie had gifted her on her sweet sixteenth.

Every year for Clara's birthday, it was like the guys competed on who would give her the best gift. Honestly, she was just glad to be getting anything.

"Aye, we're bout to head out." Mike poked his head into Clara's room, noticing how close the two were standing and scrunched his face up.

"Okay, let's go," Clara didn't notice the tension in the room, grabbing both of their hands to pull them out of her apartment and to the car.

"Took y'all long enough!" Ricky yelled from the passenger seat. The others were sitting in the back and Louil was their chauffeur.

Clara let out an annoyed sigh, squeezing her way into the back of the car since it had a third row. That left her, Mike, and Bobby squished in the back.

Ronnie and Ralph had their own seats in the second row, making fun of the three for being last and having the less fortunate seats.

"This ain't right, man," Bobby complained as the car started moving to their destination.

"They think it's funny and shit. I'll slap the grins off they faces." Mike threatened as he leaned forward to smack a laughing Ronnie on the head. The two of them began throwing hits at each other.

"Ralph was laughing too." Ronnie protested, glaring at Mike as they started fighting.

"You not making it no better with all that moving, Mike. Just stay still." The girl shoved Mike's hand down, stopping him from hitting back.

After that, the ride consisted of them jamming out to whatever song came on the radio. They danced and sang lyrics loudly, getting extra hype when one of their songs would come on. They had fun.

Eventually, the car stopped. They had arrived at Universal Studios. It was a little bit packed, but that's what they had expected anyways.

Everyone unloaded the car, smiling with excitement at what was to come. Even though they were all fifteen, sixteen, and seventeen now, they still enjoyed the childish things they never got to experience as kids due to their parent's shortcomings.

Louil handed in their passes. They all entered the gates, seeing all the rides and shops. It was the perfect place for teenagers like them to hang.

"Wow!" Clara gasped, seeing everything up close and personal felt like a movie scene.

"I can't believe we're actually here." Ronnie said in amazement, his eyes wide.

"I know right. This is unreal." Ricky pinched his self to make sure he wasn't dreaming.

"Alright, y'all kids go ahead and do your thing. Meet me back here at closing. If you need anything, I'll be over there." Louil told them, pointing at a bar that was there for adults who came.

"Alright," All six of the teens grinned, looking around at the amusement parks.

They didn't know where to start. There were so many different options to choose from.

"Hey, let's go get on that together!" Ricky said to Clara. She nodded, about to head off with him when the others stopped them from leaving.

"How about we all split into three groups each. We'll all switch partners every thirty minutes. That way, each of us will get time alone with Clara." Ralph gave an idea to the boys and they nodded at that.

"Come on, let's just have fun. That really doesn't matter to me." The girl told them, sighing. Clara couldn't care less who she spent time with.

Ricky agreed, taking her hand and leading her to the ride he had pointed at earlier.

"That slick bastard!" Bobby shook his head, glaring at Ricky who stuck his tongue out at the rest of them. His kid like actions resulted in Clara punching him on the arm as he apologized to her.

"I guess you're with me for now." Ronnie stared at the two retreating teenagers, a bit let down since he couldn't get to her first. Bobby gave him a bored look as the two of them took off together.

That left Mike and Ralph as a pair. The two of them dapped each other up before heading off in the same direction the others went in.

Ricky and Clara stood in line for a good five minutes. They finally got on the ride and Clara could feel her heart pounding against her chest.

She felt Ricky grab her hand and it calmed her down a bit, but as the ride took off, they both screamed for their lives. He was just as scared as her.

After that, Ricky played some games, trying to win a prize for her before their time was up. He felt defeated when Ralph and Mike showed up saying it had been thirty minutes already.

Clara left with Mike, leaving Ricky and Ralph staring gloomily at them leaving.

"That bunny rabbit is so cute!" Clara jumped up and down excitedly, stopping at a basketball booth. She knew Mike could win it for her. The prize was a brown stuffed animal with pink ribbons on its ears.

"I'll get it for you. Sit back and watch." Mike gave the man at the booth a dollar then cracked his knuckles as he grabbed a ball and shot it in.

Clara clapped for him, biting her lip as he made every single shot perfectly. Even though she knew some of the games were rigged, his talent beat it.

"Congratulations, pick your prize!" The man cheered for Mike. He grinned, picking the rabbit she wanted and handed it to her.

"Thanks, I knew you could do it." The brown skinned girl smiled brightly, hugging the stuffed animal tightly to her chest. How cute, Mike thought.

Instead of replying, Mike blushed and held his arm out for her to hold onto as they continued walking so they wouldn't get lost in the crowd.

A few girls squealed as they spotted the two childhood stars. They ran over to the pair, holding out pens and asking for autographs.

Mike and Clara signed each of their body parts wherever they requested. The girls didn't have any papers with them, just the pens.

As soon as that was over, Mike and Clara ran into Ralph and Ricky. Mike tried to argue with Ralph about how they needed more time.

"I've got him. Take her and go. Hurry!" Ricky held Mike back, covering his mouth to stop him from all the yelling and cursing he was doing.

Ralph led Clara away as the sun was starting to go down. The shops were brightly lit up and the rides glowed in the now darkening sky.

"It's so beautiful out here, isn't it?" Clara looked around, her eyes sparkling in amazement. Ralph stared at her face, smiling but also nodding.

"It really is beautiful." He mumbled loud enough for only her to hear. That's when she felt his stare and met his eyes, feeling the butterflies.

To be honest, Clara always felt something for Ralph. Ever since they were young kids she admired him and his charming nature.

He had this ability to make her feel like the prettiest girl in the world. She knew how he felt because he was always open about his feelings for her.

He never made her feel forced to reciprocate them and he always respected her decision to not want to be in a relationship with him. Especially since they were so young and she didn't know how to love.

But now that they were older, things were more complicated. He had different girls all the time and he also had a girlfriend that she respected.

Clara just couldn't ever see herself being with him. He couldn't even stay faithful to someone he was dating for years. How could she expect him to be loyal to her? It was a losing game in her opinion.

"You can't keep flirting with me, you know that right? You have a girlfriend now." Clara gave him a look as she put a warning hand on his chest.

"Really, Clara? You didn't care about that the other night." Ralph replied, his hands looping through the belt loop of her jeans as he smirked.

"Please, forget about it. We were out of our minds. It doesn't count." Clara shrunk at his look, knowing he was ecstatic about it.

Everyone knew Clara as the innocent one out of the six teenagers. She never focused on boys, her mind was more set on her career.

Ralph was the first to ever experience anything with the Monet girl. He felt he had bragging rights and he felt on top of the world. Although, he hadn't told anyone yet in respect of Clara's wishes.

"Out of it or not, it still happened." Ralph told her. She rolled her eyes at his comment.

"It doesn't change anything, ight?" Clara looked him in the eyes, feeling a little uneasy.

"I get it. You've never wanted anything to do with me. It was a moment of weakness." Ralph put his hands up, his feelings were clearly hurt.

"No, it's just that I'm embarrassed about it. What I did that night goes against my morals completely. You have a girlfriend back home and she loves you." Clara's voice sounded a bit disgusted, at her own actions and at his too. They weren't in their right minds.

"Let's not make this about Zena. She doesn't even know about it and she never will." Ralph tried to dismiss her worries, but only made her feel worse.

"What's done in the dark will always come to light, Ralph. She's gonna find out eventually, not even just about me, but all those other girls too." The brown skinned girl informed him, meaning well.

"Never mind that. I cant forget about what we did. It meant something to me." Ralph waved his hands, dismissing the talk about his cheating.

"It meant something to me too. You know that it was my first time, Ralph. I can't just turn my feelings off either, but it's still wrong." Clara exasperated.

"What if I left her for you? Would that make a difference? You know it's always been you. I'd make a change. You'd be the only one." Ralph was damn near on his knees begging at this point.

"I can't trust you. I want to guard my heart. Especially from guys like you." Clara's eyes started to water, but she didn't let a tear drop.

Their moment got interrupted as soon as Bobby and Ronnie popped up. They were too busy joking around to notice the air between them.

"My turn," Bobby shoved Ralph away, giving him a dirty look, pulling Clara with him.

Ralph watched with a bated breath, his heart breaking the further she walked away.

"Where are you taking me?" Clara asked, her voice sounding soft but curious.

"Haunted hills," Bobby answered, knowing that the girl hated all things frightening.

"What? Why the fuck would you take me to a horror ride?" She hit him and he laughed.

"Chill, I'll be right beside you the whole time." He had a mischievous grin on his face.

Bobby's plan was cliche. He knew it and he didn't care. A girl on a scary ride was bound to be all over him, holding his hand and trusting him.

They stood in line talking for about ten minutes. They were finally up next and Clara's nerves began to set in. Bobby smirked, taking her hand.

The two of them got into their seats and Clara never let go of his hand. It was dark and scary. Every time something popped up she screamed, scrambling over to put her face in Bobby's chest.

He was smiling like a kid in a candy store the whole time. The ride soon ended and Clara slapped him in the face, shocking everyone near.

"I'm so sorry, Bobby, I got scared again!" The girl frowned apologetically, rubbing the skin where it was in fact turning red despite his complexion.

"It's okay, I'm fine!" Bobby calmed her down, but his shock was still evident.

He did plan to scare her but he didn't know she would start acting all paranoid.

"Your time's up. Saved the best for last." Ronnie winked, moving towards the two of them.

"Damn, we only had time for one ride!" Bobby was pissed off. Plus he got slapped. He expected to at least get a kiss out of her on that ride.

"Let's go. Better luck next time." Ralph put his arm over Bob's shoulder, holding him.

Ronnie picked Clara up bridal style, running as far away as he could from the two of them before setting her back down. That way, Bobby wouldn't be able to see them together and try to third wheel.

"Best for last, huh?" Clara repeated his words from before, looking up at him.

"Yeah, didn't you miss me?" Ronnie replied, giving her a look to which she nodded at.

"Of course, what do you have in mind?" Clara asked him as her stomach growled. Ronnie rubbed her stomach which made her face turn red.

"We could go eat." The boy suggested, laughing at the embarrassment on her face.

"Young love! So adorable. Can I get a picture of you two? Is she expecting a baby?" An elderly lady said, holding out her polaroid camera.

Clara stared in disbelief, her mouth parted open but no words seemed to escape her.

"Yes, she is. We just got married." Ronnie went along with the woman's questions.

"Say cheese," The woman snapped a picture as the two of them smiled. "Cheese!"

"Thank you so much, congratulations on your soon to be child and your marriage!" The woman smiled, handed them the picture and left.

The two teenagers burst into laugher, hitting on each other at the ridiculous situation.

"I can't believe you lied to that woman!" Clara held her chest from all the laughing.

"She'll be okay." Ronnie smiled, hoping that would be their reality someday.

Her stomach growled louder this time and she blushed again, even more embarrassed.

The two teens headed to the other side of the park, entering the candy land, which is where all the restaurants and food booths were at.

"How bout we eat in there?" Ronnie pointed at a Dr. Seuss book themed restaurant. The girl agreed and they both entered the building.

They ordered two separate meals. Clara tried to pay for her own food but Ronnie stopped her. She gave him an ❛ are you sure ❜ look and he nodded.

As they sat at a booth waiting for their food, the two conversed normally, like usual.

"You enjoyed yourself so far today? I know the others can be overwhelming." He empathized, not wanting her to feel uncomfortable.

"Yeah. Everyone's been respectful. Even Bobby, but he did scare the shit out of me." She told him, her eyes twitching at the thought of it.

"I told his dumb ass not to take you on that ride. He never listens." Ronnie shook his head, knowing he had to say something about it later.

"Your order of our popcorn shrimp special and one red burger and fries." The waiter put their orders on the table, leaving them be after that.

Clara held the large red and white popcorn bowl and looked inside of it, seeing the shrimp.

It wasn't what she expected. But she decided on not being picky and tried it. Ronnie watched the girl in amusement, laughing at the faces she made.

"You don't like it?" He peered into her popcorn bowl, scrunching his face up.

"It's not bad, but it's not good." Clara pouted, but she was still going to eat it. She didn't like wasting other people's money. She wasn't that rude.

Ronnie lovingly watched her try to eat the food he knew she didn't enjoy eating. He knew why. She felt bad for him spending his money on her.

The older teenager started to eat his food, loving the red burger and the curly fries.

Clara peeked at his plate, wishing she had been like him and ordered a simple meal.

"Try some," Ronnie offered, holding a fry near her mouth. She ate it and smiled at him.

"Try this too. It's good, I promise." He shared his burger with her as well. She hesitated, not wanting to eat his food but it smelled too good to decline.

She bit the burger right where he bit, thinking nothing of it, but Ronnie blushed, his mind thinking about how she indirectly kissed him.

The two of them shared their food with each other, making sure they both ate good. One thing about them was they didn't waste no food.

"Try my milkshake." Clara grabbed Ralph's cup, tasting his and handed him her cup.

She hummed at the taste of his lemonade. It was the perfect amount of sweet and sour. Ronnie gulped as he watched her lips cover his straw.

He let out a breath as he drunk from her straw as well, loving the taste of her vanilla milkshake.

"Your drink was better but my food was better." He revealed, grinning as Clara nodded.

"No argument here." The girl replied. Her food was mid but they still finished it all.

"What should we do next? It'll be closing soon." Ronnie pointed at a clock in the restaurant.

Clara sighed, not wanting the night to end. Ronnie noticed and reached for her face, turning her towards him and making her smile.

"We should at least get on one ride together. Let's go see what's still open." Clara declared.

There was a few rides in candy land, but they were all kid rides and couple rides.

"This one." Ronnie decided, going straight to the front since there wasn't a line at all.

It was a high ride over the entire park that took them back to the other side. Perfect.

As they got on the ride, Clara sat across from Ronnie. He was nervous but didn't let it show. The ride was the equivalent to a ferris wheel.

They gazed at each other countless times before looking away and staring at the view.

The silence was comfortable and it left both teenagers smiling in thought.

Once the ride finally stopped, they were back on the other side of the park.

"There they are!" Bobby pointed at the pair of teens, annoyed that Ronnie played them.

"It's time to go, man. That was a hour." Mike was shaking his head as they approached.

"And y'all call me the slick one." Ricky laughed, not even mad at Ronnie for it.

"You played a dirty game, Ron." Ralph complained, hitting Ronnie's head.

"Calm down, it's not that serious." Clara defended him, taking his hand and running for it.

The two of them met up with Louil and he tossed them the keys. Clara took the front seat while Ronnie got the same seat he had before. The other four caught up to them and groaned, arguing about it.

Ronnie dapped Clara up and they both made fun of the boys that were mad about the seats.

Mike settled on sitting in the back, but he wanted the middle seat for more leg space.

Bobby got the other second row seat next to Ronnie, while Ralph and Ricky were stuck bunched up in the back row with Mike.
