A little bit of encouragement
A MONTH.
It has been a month since the accident happened and the somewhat civilized family meeting that occurred post-accident.
Edward has been ignoring the poor girl, and the said girl has been left confused and a little bit frustrated at the same time.
"Why not try Edward?" Thalia asks him curiously as she sits beside him on the fallen tree trunk.
Edward looks at her with a raised eyebrow, "And the risk of her knowing about us and forego with Alice's vision?"
Thalia sighs then looks back at the scenery before them. They were on the mountain edge, with a perfect view of the town.
"Someday, maybe a decade from now, you'll wonder what will be the outcome if you just tried to talk to her, and you'll never know, she might've moved away from this town, started a family of her own," Thalia tells him.
Edward frowns, he wasn't fond of Bella starting a new family, it is selfish of him to think of that, but he had some sort of connection to the Swan girl.
"And Alice said you'll fall in love with her. Isn't that great?" Thalia asks with a gentle smile on her plump lips, and Edward shakes his head in response.
"I never thought of being in love," Edward answers.
Yes, Alice saw him fall in love with the girl, but he could always change his decisions if he still could. He never wanted her to get involved with his life.
"Oh, Edward, love is a beautiful thing. To be loved is one in a lifetime for us," Thalia says with a blissful look on her features as she thinks about Carlisle and their eternity together.
"You're fine with me falling in love with a human girl?" Edward asks as he examines the dreamy look on Thalia's face.
He envied the love that she and Carlisle shared, not just her, of Esme and Christopher, of Rosalie and her wife, even Jasper, and his fiancée. His memories bring justice to his jealousy.
"You can't help who you fall in love with, Edward, that much I know," Thalia answers as she takes Edward's hand in hers, "I never thought that I'll love Carlisle this much."
"How did you know?" Edward asks, and Thalia looks at him confusedly, and he continues, "That you fell in love with Carlisle?"
Thalia then tilts her head as she thinks about the moment she fell in love with Carlisle, "The time when he always tries to help me cope with the reality of death. He made me feel that I wasn't alone."
"Carlisle always longed for you," Edward says, and for Thalia, yes, it was a simple statement, yet it made her undead heart flutter.
"And I was looking for him, even when I didn't know him," Thalia says and continues, "Don't be cynical about love, Edward."
Edward pursed his lips and sighed. "The others won't be happy with my choice."
"They won't," Thalia admits and chuckles. "But does it really matter? It's your life, Edward. They wouldn't argue with the choices that you make."
"Carlisle and I will always support you. You know this, Edward," Thalia says as she places a hand on his shoulder, and the man just nods his head.
"I'll talk to her tomorrow."

"THALIA, TELL ME MORE ABOUT THIS GIRL," Esme says while marinating the ribs they'll grill tomorrow for Charlie's lunch.
"She's lovely, Esme. I'm sure you'll adore her. A little shy, but she'll get comfortable when you talk to her," Thalia answers. Esme always asked questions about Isabella Swan, and she couldn't blame her. Edward really didn't talk about the girl around them, since the others, it was really a sensitive subject for them.
"I just hope Edward brings her here. I want to meet her already," Esme tells her, and Thalia nods and says, "I'm sure he will, and when the time comes, you two will get along just fine."

THALIA AND THE OTHERS are walking towards Edward's Volvo when he suddenly pulls his car out of the narrow lane, blocking the Swan girl's exit.
Emmett has explained to them his odd behavior, which Thalia brushed off. Edward always has strange behaviors when he's around Bella Swan.
They see Tyler hurry to his car and get in line behind Bella, he waves at her, but the girl doesn't seem to notice. Then he waited for a moment then, got out of the car, and approached Bella Swan.
He taps on the glass as Bella jumps in her seat, startled and confused; then she rolls down her window and says irritably, "I'm sorry, Tyler. I'm stuck behind Cullen."
"Oh, I know," Tyler says and continues, "I just wanted to ask you something while we're trapped here." Thalia could see his cocky grin with her heightened eye-sight.
"Will you ask me to the spring dance?" He asks, right, the spring dance,
Thalia was asked if she can watch over the high schoolers, and she declines politely. She doesn't want to be around sweaty teenagers.
"I'm not going to be in town, Tyler," Bella tells him. As they conversed, she could feel Rosalie's patience melting as they arrived in Edward's car.
Rosalie hisses at him, "Let's go. Stop being an idiot. If you can."
And Thalia could see that Edward was too entertained, instead of sending his murderous glares to Tyler, too amused by the scene unfolding in front of him even to notice Rosalie's frustration, and they drove away from the parking lot, heading home.
