CHAPTER - FIRST NIGHT

The reception had finally wound down. Guests hugged, laughed, and said their goodbyes, but little Rikara was already fast asleep, curled up safely in her blanket at home with Ankita.

Omkara and Gauri stood hand-in-hand, exhausted yet elated. Their first night alone as husband and wife was finally here well, supposedly alone.

Karan appeared suddenly, mischievous grin plastered across his face.
"Well, lovebirds... your first night awaits," he announced dramatically.

Gauri raised an eyebrow.
"Wait... what do you mean?"

Omkara frowned, suspicious.
"And why are you here, Karan?"

Karan tapped his nose conspiratorially.
"You'll see. Don't worry. Just... trust me."

Gauri and Omkara exchanged a glance, a mix of curiosity, suspicion, and slight panic.

"Trust you?" Omkara echoed, narrowing his eyes.
"Did you just book a...?"

Karan didn't answer. Instead, he smirked, handing Omkara a pair of keys.
"Enjoy your first night. I've got everything... taken care of."

Gauri's jaw dropped.
"You did what?"

Karan chuckled, dragging them toward a waiting car.
"Nope, not telling. But you two... are going to love it. Just... leave your dignity at the door."

Omkara groaned.
"This is... highly suspicious."

Gauri tugged at his sleeve, voice soft but teasing.
"Maybe we should just go with it... for fun?"

He blinked at her, eyes dark with amusement.
"You're suggesting we trust Karan?"

Gauri shrugged, a playful smile on her lips.
"He did survive my pre-wedding family chaos... probably."

The car ride was quiet except for Gauri's soft giggles at Omkara's exaggerated paranoia.
"Are you sure this is a love hotel?" he whispered, voice low but tinged with mock horror.
"They better not have... neon lights. Or... disco balls."

Gauri laughed, brushing her fingers along his hand.
"Relax, Om. Whatever it is... it's just us tonight."

Omkara's gaze softened, dropping to her hand.
"Just us..." he echoed, and for a heartbeat, the world outside ceased to exist.

The car stopped. Karan hopped out, still grinning.
"Alright, lovebirds. Open your eyes."

Omkara and Gauri glanced at each other nervously... and then the door opened.

The suite was... stunning. Candlelight flickered softly, rose petals scattered across the bed, soft music playing in the background. There was a subtle, elegant scent in the air. Not tacky. Not over-the-top. Just... romantic.

Gauri blinked, amazed.
"Karan... this is..."

"Perfect," Omkara finished for her, eyes darkening as they took in the scene.
"And completely shocking. He didn't tell us anything."

Karan waved them off.
"You're welcome. Now... I'm going. Don't break anything... or each other."

As the car door closed behind him, Gauri sank into Omkara's arms, laughter mixing with disbelief.
"You can't just do this!" she whispered, voice soft but breathless.
"I know," he murmured, brushing a stray curl from her face. "But... I like it."

They stepped further into the room, hands entwined, hearts racing.

Omkara bent slightly, lips brushing her ear.
"Gauri... tonight, I'm going to remind you exactly why you married me."

She shivered, smiling against his chest.
"I can't wait," she whispered.

Slowly, softly, they let the door shut on the world outside, letting themselves melt into the first night as husband and wife. Every touch, every glance, every whispered word was theirs alone.

Omkara's fingers traced the line of her jaw, playful smirks mixing with soft kisses.
"You know," he teased, lips grazing hers, "if anyone sees us... we'll have to blame Karan."

Gauri laughed, pulling him down into a kiss.
"Then let's make him proud," she whispered, eyes twinkling with mischief.

And as the candlelight flickered around them, the first night began full of laughter, love, stolen kisses, and the promise of a lifetime together.
