Amai let out a snort as she was awoken from her quiet slumber.

Her eyes opened slightly and grunted as she saw Puro sitting on his tail, ears perked in amusement.

Amai sighed and closed her eyes again. "Puro, not right now..."

"Come on," She heard Puro sit back. "It can't be that bad. We still have a mission, you know."

"Forget about it." Amai groaned. "There's no point. Everything's ruined."

"At least you're alive," Puro said gruffly.

Amai snorted. "Maybe." Her voice was quiet.

Puro grabbed her paw in his, and Amai glanced up to meet his gaze.

"Come on." His voice was softer than before, and he glanced away. "Come on. Let me show you something. There's a reason that I woke you up."

He got to his paws and Amai followed. She still wasn't used to legs this long, easily overstepping, but eventually Amai got used to it.

"Here," Puro turned to smile at her, then opened the door that they stood in front of.

Amai gasped as light flooded her irises.

Puro closed the door behind them. "Just watch."

Soon, the sun slowly, slowly sank behind the horizon, sending an array of beautiful colors across the sky.

Amai had seen it before, but now, she relished it more than ever.

"I...thank you, Puro." She murmured, gripping his paw tightly for reassurance. "Let's do this."
