Lionroar returned to camp with the other injured SpeedClan warriors. Exausted, he looked up to see Echofall, the Clan medicine cat, padding out of her den. She was followed by a few warrior apprentices, and they all carried herbs for the wounded warriors.

  Echofall gasped as he saw the large slash on Lionroar's muzzle. He quickly mashed a herb into a poultice and pressed it on the injured deputy. Lionroar flinched as it stung his scratch, but it also felt relieving.

  When Echofall was about to use the same herb for a scratch on Lionroar's shoulder, he backed up. "What's the matter, Lionroar?" Echofall asked.

  The deputy just shook his head. "I don't need it on a small scratch. We may not have enough  herbs for everycat. Go help another cat that really needs it," he insisted.

  Echofall just shook his head and went to another warrior to help. Lionroar looked around the camp for Funkelnstar, the leader. He spotted her and padded over to the leader.

  "Hello, Funkelnstar!" Lionroar called. Funkelnstar turned her head towards the deputy and smiled. "Lionroar! You're okay!" She cheered. They touched tails. "Is everyone alright?" The leader asked with a concerned look on her face.

  Lionroar nodded. "Yes. Everycat's fine but..." he looked down at his paws. Funkelnstar stared at the deputy. "Lion roar? What's wrong?" She asked.

  Lionroar sighed. "This has been the third time StreamingClan has attacked us for the Mossy Wrock area. We do not have enough warriors to keep fighting like this! We are lucky their Clan only used five warriors. I fear this is turning into more than just a fight for territory," he explained.

  Funkelnstar nodded and thought for a minute. "Do not worry. I'm sure we will be safe under StarClan's rule." She smiled nervously and looked at the sky. It was almost sun down.  
  "You and the warriors need some rest now," she suggested. Lionroar nodded. "Okay. I will organize a patrol early tomorrow for fresh-kill." He yawned. "Or maybe I will sleep," he mewed. He disappeared into the warriors den. Funkelnstar gazed up at StarClan's home. I hope we are safe she thought.
