Randhir: no
Sanyukta shoved her phone into her pocket as she ran towards the hostel. That guy was such an - Whatever, it was time to search.
"Kaustu, you take the North wing and I'll take the South," Sanyukta said as she repeatedly pressed the up button on the elevator.
They rushed out of the elevator as soon as it reached the sixth floor.
Room 601. Sanyukta opened the door and peered inside. No fully made bed. Wait, Vidushi hadn't moved in yet - her bed would look like any other. Neither had Parth, for that matter. But wouldn't Vardhan sir have known that? No, she should just be searching for her bed and Kaustu's.

Why did Parth always try to act the hero? Anyone could tell he was only doing it for attention - he couldn't be the smartest so he tried to be the nicest, Randhir thought.

Think Sanyu, think. They'd managed to find and move both their beds and cupboards to the room but there was no sign of their bags and posters.
Vidushi: Only need my bags but didn't find them
Vidushi: I checked the comp sci department
Twice
Kaustuki changed the group name to Vardhan Is Evil
Sanyukta: Kaustu and I checked every room in the hostel

Randhir: she won't, she's a coward
Sanyukta: on my way
4.05 AM
Sanyukta stood outside the third floor book room. Come on Sanyukta, you can do it. You just have to touch the doorknob. That's not scary at all.
She reached a shaky hand and let out a gasp as the cold metal sent a shiver down her spine.
Come on Sanyukta, it'll look just like the laundry room below. Don't be such a baby.
That was easier said than done. Having grown up in a big city, Sanyukta was unused to the quiet and isolation of empty places.
Using the light from her phone, Sanyukta quietly navigated through the doddering piles of discarded textbooks. This room reminded her of the horror films she'd seen with her brother - if she tipped over one of the towers of books, she half expected a ghost to emerge. She'd never been inside it before - after all, her dad bought her whatever textbook she needed, brand new so she'd never had to use one of the second hand books from this pile.
Maybe she should leave her old books here next year, helping out someone who couldn't afford a textbook. Yeah, think about that while walking to the middle of the room. Or think about the task that Vardhan - wait, what was that behind the stacks of Sedra and Smith? A silver American Tourister? And a blue suitcase?

Sanyukta: found a lot of suitcases
Randhir: but you couldn't find mine Farzi
Sanyukta screamed as the lights came on in the book room.
"Why were you working in the dark?" Vidushi called out. She had known where the switch was immediately. Obviously, Sanyukta thought with irritation, it's in the same place as the laundry room switch. Why hadn't she figured that out?
"So this is what the book room is like!" Kaustuki said as she followed in a moment later.
"What, you're coming here for the first time?" Vidushi asked. "You can admire it later, help me with the bags."
They dragged all the bags to the elevator and Vidushi and Kaustuki got in. "Aren't you coming, Sanyu?"
Sanyukta shook her head. "I'll have to go down and give the guys their bags."
"I'm going to sleep," Vidushi said.
Sanyukta nodded. "You can sleep too, Kaustu."
"Are you sure?"
"No problem, I'll find my bags on my own. Good night!"
Both Parth and Randhir were waiting for her outside the girls hostel. "Here you go."
"Thanks!" Parth said.
"Well? Is that it?" Randhir asked.
"Yeah, that's all I found in the book room."
"That's just great," Randhir muttered. "Everyone's found everything except me."
"I still haven't found my bags," Sanyukta said. "We can search together?"
"I can help you, Sanyukta," Parth offered.
"I'll be fine," Sanyukta said.
"Yeah, I'll make sure she doesn't get lost," Randhir added. After all, dealing with just Sanyukta was easier than dealing with Sanyukta and Parth.
Parth looked from Sanyukta to Randhir, hoping this didn't turn disastrous like everything else involving his roommate and his...his roommate and Sanyukta usually did. The right thing to do would be to go with them and prevent a fight.
But he was so, so exhausted.
"If you guys are sure," he said, and turned to the hostel with a sinking feeling in his chest. This was not going to end well.
"Guess it's just you and me," Sanyukta said as she turned to Randhir.
"Yep - The most useful and the most useless team member. This is going to be fun."
"Wah kya dialogue tha."
"Thank you thank you Miss Farzi Engineer. Where do you want to start?" Randhir said. "Wait, why am I asking you? Let's start with the ground."
"Didn't you check the ground twice? Even if you are the most useless team member, you aren't that useless Randhir."
"Hahaha Farzi. What do you want to do then?"
"I'm hungry, let's grab some food?"
Randhir's stomach chose that moment to growl, so he couldn't say no without looking like a fool.
Translations
Farzi: fake. The way Randhir uses it for Sanyukta though, it's almost a nickname
"Wah kya dialogue tha.": Wow, what a dialogue.
