I was sat on the sofa with my Kate, she's my adopted mum aswell as Caz but I don't like her much, well yeah she adopted me aswell as Kate but what she did broke mums heart and I don't like that.

You see I was in care for 5 years, My real mums in prison for the murder of my dad which she hid the body and they found it when I was turning 5 years olds and after all the investigations they found out it was mum who did it.

Memories like these give me nightmares but I try to hide that from Kate since she works and looks after me and all off that, I don't want to wake her up in the middle off the night all because I've had a nightmare and im scared. That would just be rude and disrespectful, or well that's what my birth mum had always told me.

When I was adopted By Kate and Caz I asked Kate if I could go by 'Lucy Maria Connor' instead off my name my mother gave me which was 'Lucy Maria-Leah Abbott' and she let me which I'm happy about. Well that's enough about me, I've got to go, mums got me helping out at the factory today, 'yawn'.

I don't mind helping out since it's the summer holidays and I don't fancy being bored out off my mind while mums working and my friends are busy. "Come on Lucy we will be late" I hear mum (Kate) call from the living room/kitchen. "Okay mum" I quickly reply before leaving my room wearing my light purple tank top with a small pocket on the right side off it.

I had my favourite Mint green skinny jeans on with my golden owl necklace which has big eyes and it's got black parts on the chest off the own. I also had my grey van like shoes since I broke my vans a few weeks ago, not intensionally though.

"I can tell your a teenage girl, you take forever to get dressed" Mum jokes with me making me giggle we leave the flat and go downstairs before heading towards the factory. I wanted to say something, it was something curious. I wanted to know. "If my birth mum ever gets out off prison and she wants to get me back so I have to go?" I ask bit down on my lip hard

"It will be your own choice. I won't make you" Kate try's to reassure you "you've been more off a mum than she ever was, that's why I call you mum" I smile as Kate puts her arm around me and I rest my head on her shoulder "I'll always treat you as my daughter no matter what and you know that" mum smiles so me

"I love you mum" I smile as we approached the factory "morning kiddo" Aidan smiles as we walk inside "morning uncle Aidan" I sat giving my adoption uncle a hug "you alright helping Kate and Kirk in boxing today?" Aidan asks me and I nod.

I greet Kirk as me and Kate go to boxing. I felt my phone go off in my pocket

I read the text after pulling my phone from my pocket. Who was this and how did they get my number. Wait, no way could it be my mother. I put my phone away with trembling hands which was soon noticed by my mum. "Lucy what's wrong" mum asks me as she takes my left hand.

"I'm fine mum" I answered her trying to sound convincing as I plant a smile onto my face to make my response more convincing. "Lucy Maria Connor I can tell your lieing now what's wrong" mum asks me calmly as she uses my full name.

I shake my head "it's nothing mum okay" I answer for the second time while I feel my phone go off for another two times. It was freaking out that someone I don't know has my number and is texting me. I pull my phone out for the second time to read the texts.

I look up, putting it in my pocket before I couldn't take it any more. Who was this strange person texting me. I leave mum and Kirk before running through the factory floor and outside. I wanted to be alone so I could figure out who it is texting me.

At first I thought it could have been my birth mother but then I thought it might be my ex but if I'm honest I don't have a clue who it is. I walk through the back off the rovers and in the ally way where I hoped none would decide to look for me.

I sat on the ground and pulled my knees into my chest and my head in my hands. I wanted to know who had text me but their was no way of finding out unless they tell me which I doubt they would.

I wasn't really busy I just didn't want to meet Caz even if she was also my adopted mum. I wanted to be alone but soon I was found by Michelle, she's Kate's cousin which means she's like my adopted first cousin removed or something like that but don't quote me on that.

"Lucy what's happened. Kate's told me about your great escape" Michelle tries to joke with me. "I'm fine Chelle" I try to sound convincing just like I did back at the factory "she said your acting strange, come on, how about we go inside and have a talk" Michelle tells me

I get up putting my phone into my pocket before I stand up and Michelle takes me inside. She sits me into the sofa while she goes and makes me a cuppa tea. I didn't know if I should tell
Her about the text, theirs nothing anyone could do about it

"So what's going on here Lucy?" Michelle asked me as she brought back two teas while I sit their. "Someone's been texting me, I don't know who it is but apparently they know me. It just comes up as Unknown" I say nurvesly without even thinking "but you can't tell mum, she will just worry" I quickly say almost immediately after I had

"Lucy you need to tell someone, or report it to the police, you need to find out who the texts have been coming from" Michelle tells me and I sigh, I knew she was right but did I really want to get the police involved. It might just be someone being a idiot but it could be more.
