I'd say I was out in the woods for about a year, and there was no one left.

Everyday I listened to the radio, and got updates on the war. Once the enemy army killed what they thought was every innocent, they advanced to the army and fought, then France started bombing over in Europe with nuclear bombs, and it spread over here killing everybody, except me. Every night I sent out a radio call saying that if there was anyone out there and if so to please contact me.

One night I sent out my radio call, and waited for the silence that came. Just as I was about to turn it off I heard a girl's voice, "Hello? Anyone there?"

"Yes! Hi! My name is John. What's your name?"

"Arianna, but everyone calls me Ari. It's so good to know someone else is out there!"

"Yeah, tell me about yourself. What do you look like?"

"Umm... I have long brown hair, brown eyes, I was pretty tall last time I checked. About a year ago, I lost my sister Molly. How about you?"

"Well, I've been on my own for about a year also, I lost my family during the first attacks on Mastill, Georgia..."

"Wait, you're from Mastill? So am I! Well, I was born in Paris, France but my mother, sister, and I moved to Mastill."

"Cool! I've lived here in Mastill all my life. Anyways, I have messy black hair, blue eyes, and I'm also really tall. How old are you?"

"I'm seventeen, but I think I'll be eighteen soon. If my radio is correct... November 6 is my birthday, so one month?"

"Yeah, I'm turning eighteen in... Two weeks."

Our conversations went something like that everyday for a month. A few days after Ari turned eighteen, we decided we would meet up here in Mastill, since she has a car, but I said I'd walk 10 miles closer to the border so she didn't waste to much gasoline.

Tomorrow I will meet Ari, the only other person that is on this earth right now.
