Alden and Akira snapped at each other as Akira gave birth to her children. Alden flew back at the response; Akira's tone was normally soft and kind. A while later, three baby Eevees suckled at Akira's belly for milk. One son, two daughters. Alden couldn't tear his eyes away. They were just so CUTE. "I'm so proud of you," he breathed and licked Akira's head in affection.
"What should we name them?"
"Let me think." Alden paused. "I want to name the son Ben, and a daughter Glenn, to rhyme with my name," he said.
Akira smiled. She looked at the last one, a fiery little one, batting at her tummy. "Mira," she whispered.
"COMING THROUGH!!!" Fontana's happy cry rang through the den. She bundled into the open nest next to Akira. "How's the you-know-what?" Fontana said, obviously referring to the new members of the family.
"Great! Meet Ben, Glenn, and Mira." Akira said and nudged them towards Fontana.
"Aww, they're adorable," she cried happily and nuzzled Mira. The little Eevee swiped her paws at Fontana's nose.
"Careful! that one's a fighter," Akira warned playfully.
"So why are you coming here?" Alden asked.
"I'm getting too fat to sleep with Ethan and Blair now." Fontana had become pregnant with Ethan's babies after they had gotten home from the journey a month ago.
"Well, welcome," Akira murmured.
"Roommate," they said at the same time.
