Chapter 8: Leave
Chapter 8: Leave
Taehyung was washing his bloody hands in the sink. He didn't feel the pain for some reason. He was just staring at his hand as if it doesn't have wounds.
"Oh my god, Taehyung, what happened to you? Are you okay?"
He flinched when he heard Alliyah's concerned voice beside him.
"Huh? O-of course, I'm fine." Taehyung responded, turning off the sink, and took the towel to dry his hand
"What do you mean you're fine? Your hand is totally bleeding, are you insane?" Alliyah said taking the first aid kid in the cabinet above their head.
"It's really fine, nothing happened." Taehyung assured her with his smile.
"Fine, hah."
Alliyah took his bleeding hands and didn't hesitate to pour the alcohol into his hand.
"Ouch" Taehyung hissed in pain.
He tried to get his hand from her but she tightened her grip around his wrist.
"Now you feel it. You finally feel the pain." Alliyah mocked him.
"You're right, it hurts, it really hurts." Taehyung uttered bitterly.
Alliyah looked at him and saw tears falling down his eyes.
"What? Does it really hurt? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that. I don't know that hurts, I thought it was nothing for you. I'm so sorry." Alliyah apologized and immediately covered Taehyung's wounds with gauze.
Taehyung's cries become louder making Alliyah feel guilty.
"I'm really sorry, Taehyung."
Alliyah hugged him even though he was taller than her. She literally tiptoed to be able to hug him. Taehyung cried on her shoulder feeling a sting in his heart. She caressed his back to calm him down.
After a few moments, Taehyung finally calmed down with Alliyah's help.
"Are you okay now?" Alliyah asked pulling away from the hug.
She looked at him with a worried emotion. She really doesn't know how to comfort someone but she was glad it worked.
"I'm fine, thank you." Taehyung smiled wiping off the tears from his cheeks.
"I'm sorry again, Taehyung, I really don't know that you're in pain. I should have done it gently." Alliyah said biting her bottom lip.
"Don't worry, it's not your fault. I'm seriously fine. I didn't cry because of that." Taehyung told her.
"What do you mean? Did someone make you cry? Tell me that person's name and I will kill that person right away." Alliyah spoke not liking the feeling of someone hurting Taehyung.
Suddenly, they heard footsteps coming downstairs. Alliyah turned around and saw Jungkook with his girlfriend, Soojin.
"Is there something you want, young master?" Alliyah asked.
"Nothing, tomorrow, make sure to prepare Soojin's favorite dish so she will enjoy the food more when she visits here." Jungkook replied.
"Sure, young master, I understand." Alliyah bowed her head.
"Let's go now." Jungkook told Soojin who was holding onto his arm.
The two left the house while Jungkook didn't bother to glance at Taehyung who was looking down at the ground while fidgeting with his fingers and biting his bottom lip.
Alliyah turned around to look at Taehyung back to Jungkook. She sighed noticing something was off.
"I guess you should take a rest, is that okay with you?" Alliyah asked.
"Can you do me a favor?" Taehyung suddenly uttered.
"Sure, what is it?" Alliyah responded.
"Can you tell ma'am that I'm going to take a leave?" Taehyung requested.
"For how long?" Alliyah inquired.
"I- I don't know, but I will try to come back, maybe." Taehyung whispered the last word.
"Okay, if that's what you want. I will do that. When are you going to leave?" Alliyah asked.
"Now." Taehyung replied.
"What?!"
Alliyah was shocked and surprised, she didn't expect that answer.
"What? Why? I mean why right now? You know I need help doing the chores here." Alliyah uttered.
"I'm so sorry, Alliyah, I really need to leave. I missed Eomma so much, I haven't seen her for a while and I want to know if she's doing fine. I hope you understand me." Taehyung stated.
"Fine, I understand you, but please come back early, okay? I will miss you so much if you leave for so long." Alliyah sighed.
"Thank you for understanding, Alliyah, you're the best of the best person ever." Taehyung smiled.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, leave now before I changed my mind and force you not to make you leave this house." Alliyah soughed.
"Thank you again, Alliyah." Taehyung giggled.
Taehyung quickly went upstairs to get his luggage ready. He makes sure he got everything that he brought to Jungkook's house. He went back downstairs with his luggage.
"Be safe on your ride, okay? See you again." Alliyah uttered.
"Bye" Taehyung smiled.
He left the house and looked around. He saw Jungkook come back after taking Soojin to a taxi.
"Where are you going?" Jungkook asked looking at him and his luggage.
"Uh, since you're here, I am going to take a leave." Taehyung told him.
"How long?" Jungkook asked again.
"I don't know, I will just tell Ma'am Jaehyun about that, and I—"
"I want to know the details of when you're going to come back." Jungkook cut him off.
"I told you, I'm just going to tell it your mother a—"
"Then you're not going to leave if you didn't tell me. I'm your boss here so I have to know the details. If you don't want to tell me, don't expect I will let you leave." Jungkook stated.
"Just one month, is that enough for you to let me leave now?" Taehyung uttered badly wanting to leave right now.
"See, it's that easy to tell. Once you come back, I will give you your salary for this month." Jungkook replied.
"What? Why? You have money right now, why can't you just give me my salary?" Taehyung inquired.
"It's because you just said about it. I don't think I can give you what you wanted." Jungkook explained.
"That's unfair, I—"
"I'm your boss, I'm in charge while mom is gone. We both know you know that. So don't complain, if you have complained, tell to my mom instead." Jungkook added.
"You can't do this, I work f—"
"You can leave now." Jungkook retorted and went inside the house.
Taehyung shooked his head and went away instead of arguing with him.
