Warning about characters:
Grayson is a younger Alpha, who's personality being flighty and undisciplined is expressed throughout the story, but mainly more toward the start.
Lexia is a confident character, who had a hard past. Please do not get mad if she does not share the same beliefs as you. She does merge instantly with Grayson, which I wanted to show you all how the two compliment each other so well.

This does not follow certain Werewolf cliches. If you find yourself asking why certain things your used to aren't in here, like smelling each other as mates, and so forth I didn't include the cliche in here. 

Please do not mention skin colour. My characters skin colour is for you to decide, so please do not leave derogatory comments on either light skinned, or dark skinned people.

~Prologue (In Lexia's Point Of View)

"Cross him off the list."

My assistant turns from where he was facing the board, looking at me sardonically. He's not really my assistant, in fact, he hates when I refer to him as that. But I wouldn't go as far to say that this man, Adrian, is my friend.

"Why?" He questions, balancing a red permanent marker between his fingers. Rolling my eyes, I back up a few steps and sit on the edge of my desk, mindful of the papers scattered on it.

"You think the Alpha of Love is my mate?" I question jokingly.

He tilts his head. "Possibly.

I kick my feet together as I stare up at the board mounted on the wall. We are here in my office, trying to narrow down who my mate would be.

"You're being ridiculous. Picture me with Malik...I shiver at the thought," I mutter, looking at his name on the board.

I've met Malik before, although only briefly. When I walked into that room, and we met gazes, there was nothing there. And anyways, our shoulders touched, and no sparks erupted. He's not my mate.

"So you're sure your even mates with an Alpha?" Adrian's questions again, as he draws a straight red line through Malik's name.

"Yes, our current Luna told me herself. And she was once a Purity Pack member. Those freaks don't lie," I tell him. He shrugs, placing the lid of the pen back on.

Adrian scrunches his face up. He wasn't always stuck here, in the Vengeance Pack, like me. While he was from the Wisdom Pack, I was from the Discipline Pack.

Until I was kidnapped and dragged here to be kept prisoner when I was only thirteen.

I'm older now. And I'm a leader. Kaden, the Alpha of Vengeance allowed me a small portion of his land after I released his brother and told him where his parents were, to lead.

"Cross off Kaden and Landon while your at it. Both are mated," I say, and Adrian obliges. I stare at the remaining names.

"What about Isaiah?" Adrian asks, ready to cross the name off. The Alpha of Passion.

I think about it for a moment. "I don't see why not."

Adrian raises an eyebrow.

"What? I'm passionate."

He leaves the name uncrossed.

"What about Jasper. Alpha of Devotion?" Adrian muses. I bite my lip. Not an option.

"He's been missing for years. There's no way that's even plausible," I tell him. The Devotion Pack has been almost empty, after the Alpha disappeared, and rumours of Phantom Wolves roaming around scared Pack members away.

Adrian crosses him from the list.

"How about Grayson?"

I hesitate, lifting my head from where I was brushing lint off my jeans. Grayson?

"Who's that again?" I ask. The name Grayson doesn't ring a bell in my head, which is strange, since I'm familiar with most Alphas.

"Alpha of Freedom," Adrian informs me. No wonder.

Shaking my head, I slip off the edge of the desk, and take the pen from Adrian's hand, proceeding to draw a thick red line over the name. My blonde haired assistant stares at me as I resume my spot.

"Explanation?"

"Easy. I'm from the Discipline Pack, that likes order, sense and reason. He's from the Freedom Pack. The advocator of wild, untamed and senselessness," I tell him, folding my arms across my chest.

Adrian's sighs deeply, and we collectively stare at the name.

"There's always a chance the Moon Goddess wanted to test you two out. See if a pairing like that could exist together," Adrian muses.

He knows nothing about the Moon Goddess. While my Pack worshiped her to an extent-that is nothing like the Purity Pack-his Pack insists she doesn't exist.

Adrian notices my expression. "What? There's a science in love too."

Rolling my eyes, I quickly sum up the remaining Alphas. Not many left to narrow down. I notice Adrian's gaze linger over Alpha Grayson's name doubtfully.

"Don't worry, there is not way Grayson is my mate."

HOW THE PACK SYSTEM WORKS WITHIN THIS BOOK:

Packs are based off of traits and belief within society...They are named after what they respect and practice. For example, the Purity Pack practices religion. Discipline Pack enforce rules. Love Pack press the belief of mates and so forth.

It's different, so I hope you can all get used to it.

In this book, the Pack focused upon is the Freedom Pack. A Pack created to exercise the idea of freedom within every Pack.
