• Element or Change •
Amphitrite's eyes widened as she took in the sight of the levitating water. "How-" She began as she tried to rack her brain to figure out what to say. "Am I doing this?" She asked and Luke nodded. "How?" She asked. She flipped her hand so her palm was facing upwards and the orb of water followed, floating above her hand now. "It's just as I thought." Luke said as he took in the sight as well. "Which is?" Luke looked at the floating water and then at Amphitrite. "You're an Elemental. And from what I can understand about the elementals, you're one of the last ones." Amphitrite only looked confused. "What's an Elemental?" "For the most part, normal people. However, they are granted the ability to control one basic element. Such as earth, fire, water, or air. Your's just happens to be water." Amphitrite still looked just as confused as ever. "Water is the element of change. Typically the elementals with power over water were good at adapting to new or unforeseen circumstances. Just like you. You may not know where you come from but you have been able to adapt to a life here, learning the ways of the Jedi. Or now, I suppose the ways of an Elemental." Amphitrite's blue eyes studied the orb of water floating above her hand and then she looked up at Luke. "How am I supposed to learn the ways of an Elemental?" She asked and Luke stood, signaling for her to follow. "Come with me." He said, "I will show you."
"Where are we going?" Amphitrite asked as she followed Luke. A few other padawans were waking up and getting ready to head to training for the day. That's when Amphitrite saw Ben. His honey brown eyes locked onto her blue ones. She could tell he was wondering if she had told Luke about everything that had happened last night. Though nothing was said between them right now, nothing needed to be said. Both of their expressions were perfectly readable. "Stand here." Luke ordered Amphitrite and her eyes were pulled away from Ben. She looked to where Luke was telling her to go and it was at the edge of that same pond from last night. She followed what he told her to do and then looked at him, making sure she had done it all correctly. "Now what?" She asked. "I want you to follow the movements I do." She watched as Luke took a lunging position and he put most of his weight on his front foot. Then he swiftly moved his arms forwards and backwards, almost like seaweed moving in the ocean current. Amphitrite gave him a strange look but proceeded to do as he told her. She put her weight on her front foot and began to move her arms in a graceful manner, forwards and backwards. That's when she began to hear the sound of small waves. She looked down at the pond to see that her movements had begun to create waves in the pond. Luke grinned. "Good." he said approvingly. "Now keep at that and I will be back after the morning lesson." "What?" Amphitrite said as he began to walk away. "You can't just leave me here!" But it was too late, Luke was already gone. Amphitrite sighed in frustration but kept at the job he told her to do, moving the water back and forth.
