After the events of the day Amphitrite was fairly tired. She retired early to her room for the night, practicing her powers ever so slightly with a bowl of water on the floor. She sat with her legs folded under each other and her hand was out stretched over the bowl, moving swiftly and causing the water to spiral up and gently flow with the motion of her hand. She wasn't entirely focused on it but that didn't stop her from being startled at the sound of someone entering her room. "Amphitrite?" A soft voice called. She turned to see the face of Ben solo. A slight flicker of fear rose in her as she remembered the events of earlier. She dropped her hand and the water flowed back into the bowl. "Yes?" He stepped into her room, closer to her. "I wanted to apologize..." he began slowly as he sat across from her. His dark brown eyes had a sense of sincerity to them. Amphitrite smiled softly. "I didn't mean to hurt you earlier, honest." She nodded slowly. "I know." And for once, for the first time ever, Amphitrite saw Ben give her a small smile. It was barely noticeable in the dim light of the moon but she could still see it. "Your smile," she said, her voice soft and soothing almost like the sound of a babbling brook in the spring deep within a forest. "It's quite nice." She added, "you should smile more often." Ben's smile faltered ever so slightly. "I would if I had something to smile about." He replied. There was a sense of somber in his words. "The other padawans... they don't like me. They see me as different. As an outcast." Amphitrite's smile became more sympathetic. "That's something I can understand." His eyes became curious as they searched her blue irises. A hint of realization washed over his face. "You... understand?" She giggled softly. "Of course I do. You think you're the only one here who's different? I'm not even force sensitive and yet here I am." Ben reached up a timid hand and his large hand cupped her cheek. His thumb brushed against her skin as he looked at her. He gently started to pull her closer to him, his lips just ever so lightly brushed against hers before she stopped him. "Ben." She said as she pressed a hand to his chest, gently pushing him off of her. "I can't... attachments are forbidden for the Jedi." Ben's Hand was still on her cheek and it slowly moved down to her chin, tilting it up so she would look up at him. "But you aren't a Jedi, are you?" He asked and Amphitrite froze. He was right. Those strange words repeated in her mind again. A statement of pure power pronounced long ago. I am no Jedi. From padawan to master. But why did she keep hearing it in her mind? And who said it originally? She would only find out in time. "But you-" "I am no more of a Jedi then you are." Her eyes drifted from his eyes down to his lips and then back up at his eyes. "I'm going to kiss you now, if that's alright." He said as he gently started to pull her close to him once more. "Please." She said softly as he finally connected their lips in a soft and simple kiss.
