• The End of the Beginning •

Artemis sat straight up in her bed. An incurable shiver had come over her body. She knew exactly what was wrong. She could feel it flowing through her veins. It was her sister. Something was wrong. "Amphitrite..." she muttered as she felt an extreme darkness clutching at her heart. "Oh what have you done?" She asked in a bare whisper. She could feel that her sister had made a grave mistake. She couldn't tell what but she could already feel the swell of consequences building up. She felt a tear fall from her eye and on to her cheek. She pressed her three fingers to her cheek to damped the tear. "I hope it's still not too late." She could feel her sister was still alive, just very wrong in her choice she had made. "Don't worry." She said softly. "I will save you." She said as she exhaled deeply. "I promise."

"Amphitrite Wait." Ben said as the elemental stormed past him. She turned to look at him, still with hooded blue eyes. "What?" She practically hissed at him. Then he moved over to her swiftly. He put his hand on the small of her back and pulled her close to him before pressing his lips against hers in a fierce kiss. Amphitrite stood there emotionless, letting him kiss her. "Thank you." He said softly. Amphitrite scoffeded. "For what?" She seethed, anger and rage was still fresh in her. "For saving me, for coming with me." Amphitrite pushed him off her. "Do not thank me for murder or betrayal." She said flatly. "If we cross paths again I will not hesitate to end it." She warned, her eyes now keen. "Permanently."
