Gale's POV

Her stomach clenched. I have to meet him... Tonight!!!! She gulped nervously she checked her phone.

1 new voicemail

She tapped on the notification.

Its from Nat... My best friend, oh no I've been him ignoring all summer. She clicked the play button.

"Hey, Gale... Ummm... I don't know why you haven't contacted me yet... So this Saturday... Do you want to meet at... Cool Beanz... Around 10 for brunch, I guess... Uh, Bye?" Nat's voice rang from the speakers.

Her heart dropped. Today's Friday... She tapped into Messaging.

Hey Nat! Sorry about ignoring you... See ya tomorrow! She clicked send.

Her phone vibrated.

It was the only thing he replied. I've been a crummy friend lately. She sighed and pulled on her navy blue tennis shoes. Her fingers hovered over the door knob. Should I meet Drew? I will have to reveal who I am. But he will, too...

She sank to her knees. The door creaked from her weight. Can I do this?

I can, I will! She groaned as she stood again. She determinedly gripped the handle and twisted. The evening air swirled around her as she stepped outside. Carefully descending the steps. She tiptoed down the sidewalk and into Drew's yard. She ascended his steps. Before she reached the door it swung open. Drew's silhouette was noticeable just inside the doorframe. But nothing else.

"Enter," he commanded his voice laced with venom.
